Back to 2017 for me. After suffering art block I ended up experimenting with the sketchbook app, and I decided to partially go back to my old artstyle, which I think is worth it.

I gave up on it back then, because I felt it was ugly, it didn't look good. Turns out I just needed more experience and some fiddling with my tools. Although, I'm still in the process of doing just that. But turned out it was all in my head== it just needed basic improvement, not a 180 degree style change.

The OC's name right there is my bby Bella she was designed years ago by by Rexxasaurus on back in my deviantart days.

Wish me luck with filling those "small" sketch page. Oddly enough Autodesk sketchbook always felt like I'm drawing on a piece of paper and I have a normal screen protector, not a paper-like one.

I like how I drew Miguel there but I'm still struggling with a balance between how I draw and how Miguel actually looks in the movie. How can it be so simple yet so frustrating to draw?! Consistency where are you?TT it's hard...

I get it, he hates being drawn it's Miguel we're talking about😂 but I'm going for wholesome, so shush and let me draw you!😡

Oh, and the blue Spider-man is my Spidersona Mina. Possible ship? Kinda. I'm still playing around with the settings...

And here I come with something I'm still afraid the whole fandom will be after me😅Please I want to draw them. They are prescious.

A bit of backstory before I continue. When I was a kid I loved Spider-Man, or better the 1994 version of Peter Parker. After Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse came out Miguel O'Hara became my new comfort character. I haven't felt like that in years. Not since back then. So, I created a few Spiderverse characters. I have a few AUs with Miguel and other nonsense lore. But I'm doing this for myself. So, I'm not sharing it here.

This teen's name is Alan. I'm trying my hardest to not turn him into a Gary Sue just for my personal enjoyment and I feel like I'm failing. There are a few things that I'm trying to get to with him, need to figure it out and clean up. And now the biggest shock: he's supposed to be Miguel's child. But there's no Gabie, at least not in the OG AU. Although, them being interdimensional siblings would be so adorable😢 I'm crying.

Okay, internet I said it! I'm hiding from the slippers 😂😂🙌 Somebody tell Miguel I need to hide behind himTT He's tall I'm smol it should work.

I'm back into my Sky COTL mood. I have a story planned for this child. But I can't dedicate time to a full blown comic. With my sky art is probably the most apparent how badly my art style fluctuates.

I couldn't decide between chibi and a proper drawn anime figure. At that time I also did clean lineart etc. It took far too much time for zero to no feedback. Yes, of course you are doing it for yourself but it's also nice to be praised at least a bit😂 I'm sincerely glad there are those few people who support me<3

That aside, I am not doing that anymore. But I hope I can tackle a few short but meaningful for me comics about my SKY COTL OC. I love my character Aten here. I love his story and I hope to draw it at least in bits>u<

Hello, there! I'm Katlin.

I've created this blog as a place to finally settle with the anime art-style I've had since I started taking art somewhat seriously. Teach myself to accept it or absolutely fail in the process.

This Visual Diary of mine will document the journey. A journey of conquering fears and giving into things I actually want to draw. I'm tired of constant art style change and the indecisiveness of what to do with my art. Some say it's good, I do agree, but I don't know what I want, I hate that and I'm here to find out.
