“You just inspect out of place businesses?” She asked, “Interesting hobby.” Danielle took a few steps forward, getting a better look at the other woman with some of the light that filtered through the papered up windows. She shook her head, “I am not. My family is.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I have an overly curious mind sometimes.” Katherine shrugged lightly, knowing her extra words weren’t hoping. Maybe a small conversation would, though. “This is a lovely spot to have a business.” She stated as her eyes roamed the area. “What did your family sell/do here?”

Realizing that her kitchen at home was running ridiculously low on supplies, Oriana decided that the best option for the day was going to be grabbing something to drink and eat before she went to work. She still had a little while before she had to be there to start her day of seeing patients. Walking into the cafe, she sighed. She stared at the menu as she stood in the short line, trying to figure out what exactly she was in the mood for. She had finally made up her mind when the girl in front of her began ordering. Hearing her mention paying, Oriana returned the smile but shook her head. “That’s really sweet, but you don’t need to do that,” she replied kindly. “I was planning on getting a couple of cookies along with a large hot chocolate, I couldn’t possibly let you pay for all that,” she insisted. “Thank you for offering though. That’s generous of you.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Now that cookies are involved, I insist on paying for you.” Katherine joked lightly, her big smile never leaving her face. “Your kindness is thoughtful. I’m trying out the amazing motto of ‘Pay it Forward’ for the first time. I woke up in an amazing mood and wanted you to feel as happy as me.” She explained before slipping the cashier her credit card. “There’s still a chance to say yes.” She motioned to her card with a chuckle leaving her lips.

Today was just another day for Magnus. Nothing particularly special about it. He woke up, got ready for his day, went for his morning walk, had his first cigarette, and now he was stood in line for the first of two coffees he would drink during the day. “I– Er… You do not have to do that for me.” He commented quietly. “I appreciate it very much, I do, but… Trust me, I can afford a coffee. In fact I should pay for you for your kindness.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I wasn’t thinking you couldn’t afford your own, I promise.” Katherine apologized quickly, her kind smile slowly fading away. “I’m sorry you assumed I did.” She added. When the man offered to pay for her drink, she was taken back a bit before feeling a grin spread across her face. “There’s no need to do that. My kindness is free, not bought.”

Aurora smiled as Katherine spoke and she nodded her head. “I think tha’ts always such a lovely idea.” And she definitely felt a little guilty that she wasn’t able to do that herself. She didn’t have anywhere near enough money for that. “You’re honestly the best.”
Tumblr media
“It’s fun once you try it yourself.” Katherine smiled widely towards the redhead as she replied. “And you’re such an angel! Now order your drink before you make me swoon from all the compliments.” She laughed more before having her credit card out and waiting for the girl’s drink of choice. “I’m Katherine, by the way. Katherine Lannister.”

danielleevans :
Danielle jiggled the key in Ellie’s Cafe’s old door that always got stuck but no one ever got around to changing because it was “a part of the charm” of the place. Or at least that’s what her mom used to say. A few more tries and she threw her weight against the door, finally getting it open and walking into a place that smelled like dust but had lingering smells of spices after all the cooking that had happened in this establishment for decades. She left the door ajar, not wanting to fight to get it back open when she left. It wasn’t like she’d be inside Ellie’s long anyway. All the tables were pushed together in the center of the room, chairs stacked on top. A fine layer of dust was on the plastic sheets that covered the furniture. She looked around at the boxed up silverware and dishes, pots and pans lined up along the top of the counter. Her mom had closed up Ellie’s while she was away and it was like a punch to the gut seeing it dark and empty. It had been a community staple, full of customers at any time of day. Lost in her thoughts, she didn’t hear the door open but until footsteps creaked on the floor. “The sign says out of business.” She said, her words coming out with a bit more bite to them as she turned to face the intruder.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I-I know, and I apologize for coming inside without warning.” Katherine quickly said towards the blonde as she stumbled across her wording. “I just moved back into town and decided today was the day to explore. Once I saw this place, I couldn’t help but inspect it a little.” She explained, her eyes roaming the dusty place before landing on the blonde again. “Are you the owner?”

Em turned around, a grin forming as she made eye contact with someone a few feet away. She approached them, struggling not to spill her precious cargo. “Listen, It’s really up to you whether or not you want to have a drink with me, but at this point be aware that if I drink this all by myself there’s a good chance my cause of death will be beer drowning, and that’s totally not how I want future generations to remember me.“   She gestured to the bartender behind her, no doubt staring at her ass.  “My favorite creepy bartender is thrilled I’m back in town, apparently my tips are that good.”
Tumblr media
When the woman approached Katherine with a meaning, all she could do was listen to her speech and was a little taken back. She hasn’t been back in Newshore for that long and she’s already been offered free beer. How could she turn it down? “Seeing as though I can never say no to free beer, I’ll take a glass off of your hands.” She smiled kindly with a slight chuckle. “I don’t have enough energy or motivation to drink the whole pitcher, but a few glasses won’t hurt.”

Mina had a long day working. She had been running around so much she didn’t have time to sit down to eat. Well, she had a little time but the woman just kept forgetting to eat. That was until she was walking to her bus stop and felt her stomach grumble –a feeling that she was no stranger to. The brunette stopped at the first mini-mart she found and bought a cup noodle –her favorite snack to eat on a fresh cool night. Luckily, the store let her pour some hot water into her cup. Rather than staying there, she decided to walk for little while her noddle cooked. After a few minutes, she found the first bench and sat down to eat before they got all soggy. “I love nights like these.” Mina said to a person standing closeby.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Katherine sighed softly as she watched the beautiful, night sky drift in every corner. Stars everywhere, she tried her best to find the most famous consolations and the ones she could remember. After awhile, she didn’t notice someone sitting next to her until they spoke up. “Me too.” Katherine grinned lightly as she eyes rolled over the fellow brunette. “How are those noodles treating you?” She asked with a grin, knowing the woman was loving them already.

“You know, I’ll wear my stage mom badge with pride if I must, but is it really so difficult to set a time and date for dog frisbee and stick to it? Some of us take the team seriously and have busy schedules. So no, Duke’s Dad, we can’t be there again tomorrow because you forgot all about it today. We’ll be in an extremely boring business trip tomorrow.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I’m guessing Duke is your dog and his father is not cooperating with you?” Katherine questioned the familiar face’s story lightly. “I’m sorry for interrupting, by the way. It was a little hard not to overhear this conversation.”

Ian normally didn’t like to make pit stops on his way from work, preferring to just go straight home. But it was still early yet and Lucas had requested a hot chocolate and they didn’t have anything at home for him to make it with…so he did the thing he didn’t like to do and stopped at some coffee shop a few blocks down from his house. As he waited in line he was fiddling with his phone, half-listening to the woman in front of him, when she mentioned something about paying for the person behind her. Oh…that was him. He shook his head - it was a nice gesture, sure, but he had been pretty much conditioned to reject random acts of kindness from strangers. He never knew their motivations. “Uh, thanks, that’s nice. But, no thanks. I got it.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I totally understand.” Katherine smiled back at the man before paying for her own coffee and stepping to the side of the line. “Thanks for letting me bother you about it. I don’t do this on a daily basis, if you wanted to know.” She explained in a rushed way, pretty embarrassed about the whole thing. When it came to anything, she hated being shut down.

“Oh!” Madison glanced up from her phone, where she had been texting her brother. Slightly confused by the gesture, she furrowed her eyebrows. “Well that’s…you’re so sweet. You totally don’t have to, but–I’m really in favor of random acts of kidness you know? So, I’ll take your offer and definitely paying for the person behind me too. That way everyone gets to start the day a little different” she pressed her lips tightly together, looking at her options  “I’ll be having a large French Vanilla” she nodded at her choice, taking a better look at the girl in front of her. She stared at her for a moment, wondering why she looked so familiar. She raised eyebrows, mouth falling open in realization. Letting out a chuckle, she spoke. “I guess you’re enjoying good old Newshore?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Oh, i’m so glad!” Katherine smiled widely, happy that the woman loved the idea and started to get on board with it. After she ordered her drink, she paid for their drinks and stepped aside the line after it was done. “Good, old Newshore? How do you-...” After a second later, she realized who she was talking to. “Madi Walcott, it’s been awhile since i’ve seen you last.” She said to the fellow brunette. “How’ve you been?!”

“Thanks, but no thanks.” Elías hated being a negative force, turning down a kindness. Still, it almost irritated him. Charity wasn’t something he needed, even if it was just some girl trying to do the best thing possible. “I don’t have enough money on me to carry on with your ‘Pay it Forward’ act. Pass it to the next guy, not me. I have enough cash for my drink, and a muffin. That’s all I need. The guy behind me looks like he’d be more than willing to carry on this thing. Got some deep pockets.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When the man started to explain his reasoning for saying no, Katherine did her best not to act too disappointed. Although, he was right about one thing - the man behind him did look more charitable. “Don’t worry, I totally understand.” She replied softly before paying for her own drink and stepping aside. “Thanks for letting me bother you and being nice about it. I appreciate it.”

“–Oh um, no. Thank you, but that’s really not necessary.” The Korean girl responded, a little confused. Why would this person pay for their drink, too?
Tumblr media
“I know, and there’s no need to thank me.” Katherine smiled towards the woman before paying for her own drink. Stepping towards the side of the line, she looked over at the girl again and started to explain her reasoning. “I’m wanting to do the whole ‘pay it forward’ thing, so that’s why I offered to pay for your drink, too.”

She had been debating on getting a coffee or not anyway… She wasn’t poor but she wasn’t rich by any stretch of the imagination, and most of her spare money, went on Aaron… but as she heard the woman speak, Aurora was a little in shock. She didn’t realise there were still such lovely people about. “You’re an actual angel, you know that?!” Aurora stated as she smiled at the woman in front of her.
Tumblr media
“You’re too kind! Thank you.” Katherine smiled widely back at the younger redhead. “I’m doing the whole ‘pay it forward’ thing, so I’m glad you’re okay with it.” She had to explain before letting the woman realize she did this everyday or something. “Get anything you’d like.”

Realising on his way through preparing breakfast that they lacked butter in the fridge, Simon had set out on an early morning quest to hurry with his youngest daughter Allison in tow, as much as he had preferred to leave her back at home. But alas, the mother was off to work and thus it was their duty to stock up until later in the day. However, halfway there, Allison had become hungry and there was no other option than to head into the nearest coffee shop in hopes they would let him lend their microwave for a minute. Simon was almost up front, when the chipper tone of a female voice seemed to wake up even the sleepiest of people in the queue. Wait, behind her? Fuck, that was him, wasn’t it? “Uh… it’s alright, I’m just here to ask if I can borrow the microwave. The little one got hungry. Maybe you can pay for the one behind me, instead?” They had coffee at home, maybe not as fancy, but it was doable. Better than playing charity case.

When hearing the man respond to her words, Katherine couldn’t help but look at the beautiful little girl beside him. After this, she totally understood where he was coming from. “Yeah, maybe I can.” She replied softly before paying for her own coffee. Now standing out of the way, she studied the father at a good distance. “I’m sorry if I bothered you in any way.” She said again to the man. “I just got so happy all of the sudden that I had to do something about it.” She added before smiling in embarrassment. “You have a beautiful little girl, by the way.”

Coffee had become something of a staple for Jaslene, long days and longer nights meant there was little to almost no rest for her. As such came with her demanding career, and of course being a mother. Although she was certainly happy that Aiden was now at an age where he was sleeping through the night which meant so was she. ( Even if she found herself waking up a few times probably out of sheer habit. ) Standing in line at her usual go to spot for a caffeine fix, having some time before morning classes, she’d been pondering just what to order when the woman in front of her turned and smiled after offering to pay. The dancer was caught off guard a bit, definitely not expecting it, a smile forming on her lips as well now, along with a familiar feeling like she recognized her from somewhere. “That’s incredibly nice of you, but you really don’t have to do that for me.”
Tumblr media
“I know I don’t have to, but I want to.” Katherine shrugged lightly at the woman, her smile still plastered on her face. Now studying the woman closely, she figured out why she was so familiar. “It’s okay if you don’t want me to buy you coffee, especially from me, your new neighbor and all.” She lightly teased before chuckling softly. “I’m Katherine, but you can call me Kat, if you’d like.”

“Hm…?” he mumbled, not quite sure who the woman was talking. For a moment, he felt like he was waking up from microsleep but he might have just zoned out while waiting for his turn. The night had been quite short for Michael. It had been his turn to wake up for feeds. It wasn’t his favorite thing to do but he figured that no matter how much they loved their kids, no one liked waking up in the middle of the night. The woman was smiling at him though… so there was a good chance she was talking to him. “Beg you pardon?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I was just wondering if I could possibly pay for your drink.” Katherine smiled at the man. “I’m in a joyous mood and would like to do the ‘pay it forward’ motto for a change.” She explained happily. “What do you say?”

↪ BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in Newshore, California, Katherine Lannister was born into a troubled family, but you would of never known. Walking down the streets of Newshore, she always had a smile on her face and helped as many people as she could. Being the eldest of three, she always had her eyes on her younger brother and sister. By the age of 10, she grew to have a huge protective feeling over them. If anyone came close to touching them, she would be in front of them in seconds. Her love for them was strong and she loved her mother the same, but her father was a whole different story.
Starting at the age of 13, Kat was being molested and raped by her father. This lasted for four years. Her sister, brother, and mother were all being abused by her father. During these four years, her father made her do things she wasn’t ready to do. Doing these horrid things to her father made her think this was normal and every family had this same situation going on. Her father hit her mother, sister, and brother while she was his sex toy. While this was all happening, she and her siblings were going to school and getting a good education. School was her seven hours of freedom. She hated leaving school, her teachers, friends, and teammates.
At the age of seventeen and almost done with her sophomore year of high school, Kat couldn’t handle being beaten anymore. She wanted to tell her best friend about her situation, but her father knew her best friend’s dad was a police officer. He demanded she’d never see her friend again. After a few weeks, she told her best friend what was happening at home and she learned that her situation wasn’t normal and she wasn’t safe. It had to be done. She joined a local child advocacy center and they helped her immensely. In the matter of days, her father was arrested and it took her three trials until he was finally put in prison.
Beginning her junior year, Kat still couldn’t believe she was free from her father. Her family was safe and so was she. It didn’t take long for her to experience new things like drugs, alcohol, and other substances. With all those substances combined, her and her friend group stayed hip-to-hip. She liked all of them, but liked Jason the most. He had a certain dangerous edge to him that made her swoon. Of course, she’d never tell him that though. They had a great friendship before an incident happened between them. One night at a friends house, they all tried cocaine for the first time. Completely high off her ass, she couldn’t control herself and started being very annoying. She annoyed Jason the most and he got very angry at her. Next thing she knew she was fighting him and was instantly slapped in the face. After a few more pushes, Jason’s hands were on her throat and she couldn’t breath. Catching her breath after he realized what he did to her, she didn’t know what to think about him. When they all went home, that was the last night she saw him.
Recovering from the attack definitely took some time, but Kat made her senior year the best year yet. Ending high school, she decided to speak in front of all her classmates and tell them about her powerful story. When this happened, it felt like her community gave her a huge hug. All the support overwhelmed her and she finally felt free. Her mother was divorced from her father, her brother and sister were safe, and they were to never see their father ever again. Graduating from high school, she was on honor roll and was elected as the valedictorian. She told her story in front of 6,000 people and knew she wanted to make a difference in the world.
Attending a community college, Kat majored in communications. Two years later, she got a full-ride to the University of San Francisco and became a certified public speaker. At the age of 22, she graduated with her bachelors degree and her proud family by her side. Traveling around the world, she told her story to millions of people at thousands of high schools. She was an icon and a role model to many teenagers struggling with her same situation. Now at the age of 26, she’s been wanting to take a break after four years of traveling and decided to move back to Newshore. She got an apartment in Rockdale and is known as a famous wide-world motivational speaker.
Triggers in biography: drugs, physical abuse & sexual abuse
↪ PERSONALITY
Walking down the streets of Newshore, you can always find Katherine smiling. When someone is in need, she’s always there with a helpful hand. Growing up, she was closed off, insecure, reserved, and an introvert mainly at school. When she started to play sports like soccer and volleyball, she began to open up and make friends. By the end of her high school years, her classmates described her as brave, loyal, respectful, kind, honest, down to earth, and caring. She’s sweet and determined to protect her family and the people she loves and cares for. In the end, she wants to help people in need with a caring, loving smile on her face.
