I keep thinking about how in ep 12 when achi is talking to karan's mom about how he's learned how to take care of karan, he talks about how a way he does that is letting karan do the things that make him happy, and lists hearing karan sing as one of those things

and like this is extremely sweet but what gets me about it is that we know in reality karan singing is not something we see karan doing to make himself happy- the literal only time we see karan sing out loud and not just in his head is when achi explicitly asks him to, when he says karan's voice heals him on bad days. so of course karan does it even though he's clearly a little shy about it, because he loves achi and would do anything for him no questions asked

and I think what's sooooo wonderful about achi framing it that way to karan's mom is that we know how caring for achi is the thing that makes karan happiest. he has literally been waiting 7 years to be able to take care of him and be extra about him and give him little handmade gifts, he is the most acts of service man of all time, he clearly gets so much fulfillment and joy over being able to love achi a lot. one of my favorite scenes is when they're at the kitchen table and karan gives him the keychain and he's like "I know this is all insane but look I have been waiting soooo long to do this so hang in there ok xxx" like this man just wants to do this every day for the rest of his life and now he gets to and is just completely thrilled about it every day (and I love how achi lovingly teases him even though he clearly loves every single gift that's been given to him)

but back to my point ajdf;kalsdfk which is that when achi tells karan that his singing heals him on bad days, he is both communicating this extremely sweet and wonderful thing that's clearly true, but ALSO giving karan another way he can take care of him- "this is a thing that helps me when I'm having a hard time, could you do this for me". he's communicating his needs but at the same time he is being open with karan in a way that he knows karan always wants him to be (thinking about in ep 9 when karan thanked achi for talking to him about all his work-related stress) even if it's something he's had to learn to be comfortable doing. and through doing that, he's making karan happy because now karan has another thing he can do to make achi happy, which, again, is the thing that karan loves the most in the world, bc karan loves achi the most in the world!!!!!

like I'm just so happy about how achi asking karan to sing for him is both a way for him to receive the care and love he needs, but also is a way HE can care for karan and make karan happy too, since karan is the most happy when he gets to take care of achi and achi knows that. they're both so good at taking care of each other and it's perfect. this is why they talked about taking care of each other when they got engaged. it is so crucial to who they are and their relationship and I love it <333

absolute funniest moment in the KMA petekao supercut is the scene where sun and kao are going out for dinner and pete finds out and is of course strangely upset about this for reasons he does Not realize

and handling these emotions like the mature person he is, he decides to GO TO THE RESTAURANT and sit down next to sun and kao, brazenly saying that there are no other tables available, despite the restaurant being full of empty tables

and even after THIS sun and kao are still in vain trying to SOMEHOW have a pleasant conversation and sun is being complimentary about kao taking photos of his cafe for him and pete decides to chime in by telling sun if his coffee was any good he wouldn’t need good photos from kao

ANYWAYS all of this culminates in sun offering to drive kao home and pete being like actually I always take him home so ill do that x and then when they do drive home he drives right past kao’s house and when kao’s like wtf where are we going pete’s just like my house. don’t worry about it. and then we get their insane fight/pete’s confession/them having sex and I just

truly the most deranged series of events everything about petekao is perfect to me. of COURSE this would be the lead in to them (properly) kissing and having sex for the first time. no notes.
