Quiet's POV
"Hey, umm you good?" came John's voice out of the radio. "I'm about to turn around and strangle that guy to death, so no John I'm far away from being good. *sigh*. How's the big guy doing?" "Well it's pretty scary actually. He doesn't move, he doesn't speak, I haven't even seen him blink for the last twenty minutes. It's like he completely shut down." "Can you blame him? He and Y/N were inseparable. I think something inside of him broke when we dragged him away from her.We have to get her out of there John! " "Quiet you heard her...". "I give a fuck to what I heard. She's my friend and he is your friend, don't you want them to be happy? We ripped his heart out of his chest goddammit. " "That's not about happiness, calm down. All I wanted to say is that we need a plan first. We can't just go there and start trouble,Stone has more men and more weapons we have to be careful." I was beyond furious and punched the dashboard of John's car. "I know we have to talk to Miranda and the others. It's just... She did that for all of us John, we're safe because of her. I couldn't live with the knowledge of that Nick guy torturing her day by day." "Me neither let's get back to the base first I promise we'll find a solution." "I really hope so John if not..." "We will find a solution." he said and then silence. I put the radio back in the holder, still couldn't believe what just happened. Y/N sacrificing herself for Sweet Tooth and for us. She wasn't a burden or caused us trouble like she said, this wasn't her fault none of the things that happened were her fault and she didn't deserve this. She deserved to be happy in the arms of the man she really loves and who loves her back with all his heart. One thing was completely clear, Nick, Stone and anyone else who was against us would pay sooner or later.

"What the fuck Y/N? Are you completely lost?" Quiet asked the shock still visible in her eyes. "It's the only way..." I started but John cut me off. "Don't say that Y/N, you know damn well what we're capable of. We just have to call Miranda and kick that bastards ass." "God John do you really think that? Have you at least paid attention for a second? Everyone I love gets hurt because of me. I cause nothing but trouble for you... and for him. Nobody deserves that." I said looking over to Sweet Tooth. "If staying here means that you're gonna be okay then be it. I don't want to drag anyone into my problems anymore. You go and I stay, this is my place now ." then I felt Nick's arm around my shoulders. "You heard her, sooo I would say you take your friend and leave us alone. Y/N and I have much to catch up on. Right precious?" Nick asked pressing a kiss to my temple and the only thing I wanted to do was to vomit. "Can I ask for one last favor?" I asked him. "Depends, what is it?" "I want to have ten minutes alone with him. I need to say goodbye." "I don't know if that's a good idea, I..." "Oh come on man, give them a little privacy." John said. Nick sighed "Alright, ten minutes not more. I'm waiting outside for you." with that he left the workshop, Quiet and John following him. I walked over to Sweet Tooth,loosened the chains around his wrists and knelt down before him. Now that I was so close to him I could see that the mask he wore was sewn to his face." I'm so, so sorry Sweet Tooth. You have to go through all of this just because of me." I took my pocket knife and got to work. "But don't worry everything will be okay for you soon I promise." I carefully started to cut the threads. "What I'm going to tell you is important so listen carefully. I... You know that I'm going to see your face in a few minutes right? I really wish I wouldn't have to do that but... there's no other way. John and Quiet came here with me, they will bring you to Rosa and she'll fix you. The thing is... I'm not coming with you. I will stay here so you can leave . You had my back so many times Sweet Tooth, now it's my turn. " I put the knife back in my pocket and slowly took the mask from his face. I wasn't prepared for that, not now, not like this, but when I finally saw his face after all that time together I got completely overwhelmed by my emotions.

I opened the back door and climbed out of the truck, searching the area for a bit, but no trace of Sweet Tooth. I knew he wouldn't just leave me alone or go far away without telling me so I started to worry. "Sweet Tooth? Are you here? Can you hear me? Answer me please!" I yelled and waited a moment, nothing. "Fuck, where are you?" I said to myself. I took a deep breath and decided to get back in the truck. Maybe he just didn't hear me or he just wants to get something I thought, but as soon as I climbed in back of the truck, I knew that he wouldn't return soon. There on the rearview mirror hung his mask. My heart stopped beating for a moment. I reached out and took it in my shaking hands. That couldn't be true, everything was great yesterday and now he was gone. I sat down on the drivers seat, Sweet Tooth's mask on my lap covered in tears that were falling from my eyes. Why would someone do something like this? Who would take him away from me? I took a deep breath, wiped my tears away and took the radio. "Here is Y/N for John and Quiet are you there?" a moment of silence then some static was heard "Yo here's John what's up ?" I had problems to hold my tears back but I managed to keep my voice steady. "It's Sweet Tooth I... I need your help can we meet somewhere?" "Y/N girl what happened?" John asked. "I can't tell you on the radio John. We have to meet in person it's urgent ." then muffled mumbling was heard. "Y/N where are you?" came Quiets voice from the other end. I took the map out of Harold and looked for my location. "I'm near the university on the campus where the great bridge is." rustling "Okay do you see the amusement park on your map?" she asked. I let my finger glide over the map. " Yeah I see it." "We're getting the car ready and meet you there." "Thank you Quiet." I said and was about to put the radio back in it's holder. "Oh and Y/N." "Yes? " "I don't know what happened but keep your head up, we're on our way." "Alright, I'm getting ready. See you later." I put the radio back, closed the back door and started the engine. Sweet Tooth's mask resting on the dashboard. I couldn't imagine how he felt without it, I was just hoping he would be okay. My head was full of thoughts and scenarios what could have happened to him. He was a big guy, he wasn't easy to take out so someone must have planned it and the worst thing was, they were in the truck while I slept peacefully in the back.

When we arrived at the pavilion, Rosa was the first one who said something. "You! You stupid, stupid girl! Have you lost your mind completely ?You could have died! You... You..." but before she could finish her sentence she pulled me into a very tight hug. "I'm sorry Y/N, I'm so, so sorry. I... was a bitch. You risked your life for someone you knew just for a few days and I treated you like shit. I can never thank you enough for this Y/N." "No Rosa you were just worried about your family. I'm not blaming you for anything also you saved Sweet Tooth who is my family, so we're good. Let's leave the past behind okay?" she smiled and wiped a few tears away. "Alright, well let's eat shall we?" we sat down at the table and had dinner. "When will you get back on the road?" John asked. "I think we'll leave in the morning. It was a very eventful day for everyone ." Sweet Tooth said. "Eventful? Are you kidding me? This guy is like a fucking tank. We went into the building and before I knew it he just slashed his way through the guards I mean it was like a fucking splatter movie." John said and Sweet Tooth chuckled. "It was our job to clear the way for the ladies and that's what I did." "Yeah, you say it like it's nothing dude." John added shaking his head. "I bet you guys did amazing but my girl Y/N here was the real deal." Quiet said. "Can we, maybe change the subject? I... I didn't think much about what I did. I saw that Tinker needed my help so I helped, but... when I looked down there, it brought memories back, bad memories and I just want to forget about it and move on." "Sweetie is right, let's talk about something else." Miranda said giving me a wink. After dinner I helped cleaning up and made my way to the truck. Sweet Tooth and the others were still talking but I needed some time alone. I sat cross legged in the back of the truck looking at the squished Twix bar in my hands, smiling that despite the whole stressful situation Sweet Tooth remembered what I told him the night we spent at the gas station. "Knock, knock!" came a voice from outside. I stuck my head out and saw Tinker standing there holding a large object, wrapped in fabric, in her hands.

Chapter seven 🖤
Tinker was right , it wasn't easy but I did my best to get the work done. The tires were heavy and difficult to handle but at the end of the day the pile was only half it's size. "Sweetie, we're having dinner do you... What the fuck? Did you do that all by yourself?" Miranda asked looking at me in disbelief. "Yeah... I... I'm honest my whole body hurts but yeah I did this by myself." "Did Rosa give you that task? I can talk to her if you want." "No it's alright. I don't wanna cause more trouble than I already did." she put a hand on my shoulder giving me a warm smile. "If asking for help causes trouble then this place is full of troublemakers sweetie. Rosa wasn't always like this you know? She was like me, had open arms and an open heart for everyone who struggled. A few weeks ago, a girl came into the bar. She was in a horrible condition. We welcomed her, gave her food and clothes and Rosa became something like a mother figure to her. Everything was fine until one morning. " " What happened? " Miranda sighed." When we got up that morning she was gone with several food rations and medications. Since then Rosa is careful who she trusts and doesn't let anyone come near her again. "." I'm so sorry that happened. I can imagine how much that hurt her. I don't blame her for that okay? I'm willing to work so I can give you something back. I mean she helps Sweet Tooth and I'm deeply grateful to her. "" I know sweetie, I know. Alright, let's go have some dinner. I'm really proud of you and I bet the big guy is too. " with that we walked to others who were already sitting at the table." Oh Y/N, do you have a minute after dinner? " Rosa asked." Of course. " I said and she just nodded in response. We had some very delicious stew, talked about our days and had a good laugh. I helped cleaning up after everyone was finished and then Rosa and I made our way to the shed.

It was quiet outside everyone must be still asleep, so I took a deep breath and started exploring my surroundings. "You're up early." came John's voice from behind me. "Yeah I couldn't really get some rest so I decided to take a morning walk." "Mind if I join you?" he asked "No actually I'm glad I met you. I feel kind of lost if I'm honest." "How's the big guy doing?" "Still unconscious, but he moves alot and he's talking very much. I don't know what he says but I think it's a good sign." "Sounds good, I'm going to check on him later. Maybe I can get on his nerves and he wakes up. " I laughed "That would be great. He really likes you John, he was so proud when he told me that you guys liked his jokes." "He changed a lot. When I first met him I really had problems to stay awake during his 'show' you know what I mean?" "Oh my god yes it was awful." I said "And now look at him. I honestly think that meeting you was the best thing that could have happened to him." "It's the same thing for me. I never had someone who I could count on and trust with everything. That's why I'm so scared to lose him." "Hey good morning you two!" "Good morning Tinker, well I think I leave you ladies to your business. Oh and Y/N I'm always here if you need to talk the same goes for Quiet alright?" "Thank you John." he winked at me and turned to leave. "Hey Y/N I know it's still time but do you want me to show you around?" "That would be amazing." "I'm going to be honest with you, Rosa made a list with tasks and it's not going to be easy." she said with a forced smile "Oh well I didn't see that coming.But seriously it's okay, I'll do my best." "I like you Y/N, alright then let me give you a tour." she showed me around explaining everything and when the clock stroke eight I found myself in front of a huge pile of tires in any size. I checked my list and there stood written in big letters 'Sorting out tires by size'. I took a deep breath. I knew it wouldn't be easy but this was chicanery. I didn't know if I could even move just one of those tires but I couldn't waste time so I rolled up my sleeves and got to work.
