Pairing: Klaus x reader, sorta Jeremy x reader..?

Requested: “I’m a monster.” “After all you’ve done and I can’t stop loving you.”

Warnings: drinking, fluff, maybe some cursing, maybe some more that I can’t think of.

A/N: this might be a multi-part. I have a good idea going but it’s gonna be LONG. Sorry if it wasn’t Klaus right at first but I’m working on part 2 right now :)

Part 1/

There was yelling. That’s what woke me up, a terrified scream. I jumped out of bed making my way towards the door and walking down the hall. “Mom?” Before I even touched the door I could smell it. ‘Blood?’

My palm pressed against the bedroom door as I pushed ever so slightly. “Mom?” There was blood everywhere, the blue sheets were black and there was splatter on the walls.

I stepped back, she was gone. There was no way there was that much blood and she was alive. I turned to run down the hall and there was a figure. My hands pulled at the phone on the end table, dialing 911. His silhouette was terrifying and I could see red on his hands. I turned as sprinted towards the end of the hall lifting a lamp and chucking it at the intruder.

He caught it and threw it back at me growling. I ducked as it went flying through the open window. I took a quick look and jumped tumbling and sprinting across the road to the neighbors house.

“Elena! Please! Jeremy! Someone please let me in!!” I pounded on the door tears welling in my eyes. A light flicked on and I hit harder on the door. “Please Elen- mmhhh mhmm.”

A hand silenced me. “Jeez (Y/N) it’s like two in the morning, why are you out here screaming?” Jeremy’s voice calmed me a bit. “Vampire.” His eyes widened before glancing at my house and back at me. “Let’s get you inside.”

Before I knew it I was passed out on their couch. “When did she get here?” Elena asked from the staircase. “How did you not wake up, she was screaming bloody murder at the door.” Jeremy said brushing the hair out of my face before standing and waving his sister to the kitchen.

“All she said to me was vampire, she was scared shitless. Who do you think it was?” He said searching the fridge for something. “I have no idea, wait were you out smoking? At two in the morning Jer? Really.”

He rolled his eyes. “I don’t think now is the time to lecture me on my habits when our neighbor is crashed on our couch.” He paused and looked back at her. “I’m gonna sleep down here so when she wakes up she doesn’t freak out. Night.” He waved and walked over pulling a pillow from a chair and laying on the floor.

“Goodnight.” Elena’s voice was quiet as she walked back towards the stairs.

The next morning I awoke with a pounding headache, thoughts swimming about what happened the night before.

“Hey your up. Want some cereal?” Jeremy said holding up a box. “It’s bland.” He shook it with a smile. I crawled off the couch and stood. “Never audition for a cereal commercial, ever.” He laughed before grabbing me a bowl. Suddenly the front door slammed open. “Elena! I need to talk, I swear I don’t know what to do with hi-” Caroline’s voice drowned out as she ran up the staircase.

“What was that about?” I asked my mouth full of the definition of bland cereal. “Probably relationship drama, she’s been over almost twice every day this week.” He said stashing his bowl in the sink. “She’s dating Tyler right? She could honestly do better..” I set my bowl in the sink and walked with him to the couch.

“Jer. About last night. I know what I saw, it was a-” “Vampire. I know. The whole town is littered with them. You can’t tell anyone though.” I looked out the window and my yard was littered with police cars.

“Me and Elena already talked to them, told them you were asleep, they’ll want a statement from you also.” He said patting my back.

We sat for a good while, I talked to the police, I gave my statement about a man who killed my mother.

Elena and Caroline took me to the Grill, the left to go to the bathroom when a man came and sat down. “Why hello love.”
