I am so angry that Kelly clarkson is getting hate AT ALL for covering so many songs we are BLESSED to have a singer of her caliber have a SHOW where she sings for us and we can hear her voice outside of just her music like I would die if my favorite idol did something this cool. but like what is so crazy to me is her cover of remember me from coco received some stupid mean comments for her accent when singing in Spanish BINCH it's a big fucking world with all kinds of different languages how dare you tear someone down for their efforts in learning another language. Language is so beautiful- seeing how a person's face lights up when they find out you are speaking their language, it's such a moving thing. The person who learned a new language outside of their mother tongue- they're really trying to reach out to you- it was their choice. Also as an adult??? When we're children, our brains are able to soak it up and spit it out easier- accents develop easier and faster. But as an adult, we just don't always have much of that capability anymore. On top of that, there's an embarrassment factor to it too like adults are sometimes afraid to practice another language bc of the fear of being ridiculed. Like...why ridicule someone whos really trying. Even if she's singing instead of speaking it, even if sure she gets money for performing it- I still think it's such a beautiful thing. It breaks my heart that ppl are making fun of her for it and saying shit like "aw hell no 🤣🤣🤣 she needs to stop" Like this behavior right here, although might seem little and harmless, contributes to the reason why race/ethnicities/hertiages/cultures are unable to peacefully coexist. Comments and thoughts like these are small things that contributes to the bigger picture: racism. It's what pushes people away and keeps people divided.
