When Hermione next opened her eyes, dawn was making its approach as light painted the horizon. The sky was empty, stars tucked away in the wake of a new day. She should have been cold, but she wasn't. Warmth kept the chill at bay.

Still groggy, it took her a minute to register her surroundings.

The arms around her.

The legs twined in hers.

The steady rise and fall of the chest beneath her cheek.

Chancing a glance, she took her time committing the sight to memory.

Per to the fect, this chapter was a literal definition of a big ass scary emotional rollercoaster, also it made me realize that i am shit at drawing side profiles so instead of learning, what did i do? Yes, copied my previous Draco 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I personally find these little clandestine touches to be super romantic, so I suddenly wanted to doodle this type of moment. It was originally supposed to be just Hermione with Draco’s hand, but then I couldn’t help add another pic of a bashful in-love-but-in-denial Draco Malfoy.

“I do,” she said, closing the space between them by stepping in and pressing her hips against him. He did not even hint at removing himself and she smiled inwardly, even though she’d known since his lip-glance that she’d had him.

Then she let her eyes rove all around his face, her breath ghosting over his lips. He was incredibly controlled, and yet she could sense the subtlest quiver in his body as she moved. Restraint.

She brought her lips to his ear and said, “just think about it, Malfoy.” Then, he inhaled sharply as she let her lips take his earlobe, her tongue giving it a gentle caress. When she pulled away, she was gratified to see that he had his eyes closed. Taking the opportunity, she re-cast her charms and silently disappeared into the night.
