From one gun to many.
As part of my series on the effects of patterns and symbolism, these prints were an exploration into Lacan's theory of the gaze. I wanted to see how far I could decontextualize a loaded symbol, pushing it towards patterns, which were at first imprinted onto paper, and later onto most intimate objects such as bedsheets.

Braile Boxes.
This series was made in response to an open call art project that centered around decoding. The theme of decoding brought to mind the various layers of codes used in euphemisms when talking about the war (eg. friendly fire, collateral damage, casualties - words and methods that refer to serious things lightly). The various conflicting first hand reports in contrast to military reports, and press reports form a web of confused communication that hide actual events that are pertinent to the ways and methods we consider ethical in war. These boxes references events of miscommunication in key events of the war and media.
