Honestly I prefer to believe he's dead because I can't handle the implications of what it would mean for Tairn and Violet's relationship. Other than that, he and Brennan were definitely in love and I don't think much about him besides that

Random thought I had today: I really like the change you made with how Violet made it through her first year at Basgiath all on her own. Of course, canon Violet is perfectly capable of taking care of herself and very competent, but knowing sitq Violet made it through without the marked ones trying to keep her alive all the time makes me even more impressed with your portrayal of her character and makes me feel like her squad is even closer because of it.

Thank you! I wanted to hold on to as much of canon Xaden and Violet as possible while still letting their characterization reflect the changes in their circumstances of this fic. I’m so glad that that’s come across well and you guys love that part of this story 🫶🏻

I think someone else asked but I can’t find it now so oh well! Not really yet, no. I know he seems super feral about it but that’s all from his perspective and Violet hasn’t really picked up on it. With the amount of times he touches her fucking hair in this chapter she will soon though 💀

Maybe you’ve already clarified this in a previous ask or even in the fic itself and I’m just forgetting, but why didn’t Xaden meet with Violet sooner? Their lives have been tied since the moment Violet bonded Tairn, and at any point between her threshing and when they met during the middle of her second year, she could have been killed, effectively wiping him and Tyrrendor’s independence. Did it take him that long to negotiate something?

Again, sorry if you’ve already answered this in the fic.

Yeah given all the political implications of it, it wasn’t like he could just roll up to Basgiath whenever he wanted, so he had to do it the long way. The powers that be in Navarre weren’t really keen on letting him get anywhere near her unless they got something out of it in return.

Oooh but now I’m thinking about the possibility of him saying fuck it and kidnapping her right after threshing anyway and Mira showing up in a rage when she hears her sister is missing but Violet is just chilling in Aretia eating cake and vibing….

@justallihere and I have noticed there’s still not that many fics for the size of the fandom and there are also a lot of people here who express that they’d like to write but they’re too nervous or haven’t before, so we thought a fun thing to do would be a fic challenge!

Basically we’d get it set up, you’d send in that you wanted to do it and whether you’d prefer angst or fluff, and we’d send you back a prompt for you to write a little piece—minimum 500 words, no maximum.

Since we‘ve all declared that we‘d read anything that stems from your fingers: have you ever thought about what type of book you would want to write? Like what genre? Would you stick to romantacy??

Yeah I’d most likely go with romantasy! Thats what most of my ideas are. Maaaaaaybe contemporary romance because I have a couple fun ideas for that too but I like fantasy better
