lukehemmings: With shaking hands but a full heart I proposed to my best friend earlier this year. I love you Thao and I can’t imagine my life without you ❤️ @sierradeaton
sierradeaton: it was fun keeping this a secret for so long, but my heart is nearly bursting at the seams. Can’t wait for forever 🤍 @lukehemmings
I’m gonna say it, Noah Flynn did nothing wrong! Poor communication, yes. But he constantly told Elle he wasn’t cheating on her, and to trust him. He suggested for her to apply to Harvard, and did not force Elle to go to Boston to push her to apply. He didn’t push her when he said she’d think about it, and was happy when she told him she did. He willingly kept things from Elle, because any mention of Chole was a instant bummer to her. He wanted to see her face to face to have the talk they needed to have, and was responsible enough to understand that. Elle completely hid her feelings from Lee and Noah. I love Marco, but Marco went after a girl who had a boyfriend who he knew she loved. Tried to bait Noah into a fight, and then tried to convince Elle that she had feelings for him. And she may have, but they were certainly not as deep as the ones she had for Noah. Also, Elle cheated!! All because she went looking and assuming something about a girl who was friends with her boyfriend without even trying to understand. Which seems completely odd to me, since hello she is in one of the few boy/girl friendships that are truly about being friends. She fully let go of Noah, without actually telling him, and then only giving him one word responses and completely treating him like crap. Also, the stupid earring. Every review about it is saying Noah hid the truth from her, but did y’all miss the scene when he basically gets upset because Chole didn’t tell him about the night sleeping on his bed, without his permission. He didn’t know, so how can he explain that to Elle. Everyone is saying Marco was superior, but he really wasn’t. He was also okay with letting the girl he liked cheat with him. Elle did them both wrong, but Marco wasn’t superior. He’s a great guy, but he did wrong to. The only thing Noah should have done is tell Elle about his homesickness and opened up more about Chole.
Unpopular opinion but I am so glad that Elle and Lee remained platonic and are true examples that guys and girls can be best friends without having to become more. Never once did they have romantic intentions, just deep familial love, and that is probably the best part about the movies to me. You almost never see a guy and girl remain ONLY best friends in shows and movies, but it can happen and should be something people see more.
