If you ever want yet another example of how america is fine with violence but not fine with sex, I've got one.

Went to the store and bought the rated R movie Scarface on DVD.

A week later, I went to the same store and bought the also rated R, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. This time, I had to show ID to prove I was over 17 to buy the movie.

I used self checkout both times, so this isn't a case of one cashier following policy and one not, or one cashier being overly cautious.

I had never before in my life had to show ID to buy an R rated DVD. I've never had to show ID to get into an R rated movie in theaters.

But a movie rated R for sexual content has its age restrictions enforced, while one given the same rating for violence is not enforced.

Working all this overtime is killing my sleep schedule. Usually, I get home by 645am, in bed by 730am, get up around 12pm, and then go back to bed around 4pm to get up for work at 9pm.

But now I'm not getting home until 8-830am so I'm not going to sleep until 9am, then I'm not waking up until like 2pm, but I still have to go back to bed around 4 so I can get enough sleep before work so I have 2 hours to do any cleaning I need to do, take a shower, eat, and whatever else I need to do everyday.
