This is a screencap of 3 JZM, the third television channel of Jurdiskan; it broadcasts entirely in Jurdic, and belongs to the public broadcaster TVJ.
The capture was taken a few seconds before the start of the late evening news (scheduled around 11 pm depending on the day; in the current example, the newscast started at 10:45 pm), during an example of pre-programme screen.
This screen, aired before the newscast, is used to adjust the programmes to the exact time, and features a clock. [1]
Such a "waiting screen" is, in reality, not completely still, and is usually accompanied by a light musical background and a vocal announcement made by a "continuity announcer". [2]
The text reads "Now: the news" (Jofónah: Abyeti).
Overall, the current on-air branding of 3 JZM is based on the colour yellow/orange and on those three triangles. Idents, on-air promos, and printed adverts (such as those displayed on bus stops) always make use of these triangular shapes, in one way or another.
J stands for Jurdiskan; ZM stands for "zajamanrepit" which means "television".

Directional road signs in Jurdiskan.
The State-wide road network contains “Class A” roads and “Class B” roads.
“Class A” roads are the most important, the most crucial of the Jurdic road system. They support the most trafic and connect the biggest cities with each other. Most of them are dual-carriageways (2×2 or more).
“Class B” roads are also important roads with high traffic, but connect cities of lesser importance.
Then there are roads handled by the Regions, and roads handled by the Provinces.
You can see that in Jurdiskan, road signs are often bilingual. Actually, bilinguism on road signs is officially encouraged.
In rural areas, the less important roads are directly handled by municipalities, and usually carry no number. Same goes for most streets in cities (but they already bear street names anyway).

Fun Jurdiskan fact: there’s a series pretty similar to Nichijou that exists on the planet where Jurdiskan is located, and since TVJ 5 broadcasted it, it acquired a cult status there, the song of the first intro made it high in the charts, much merch was sold, and the original manga even got translated and published there.

Here are the new logos of TVJ (the public television group of Jurdiskan) and of the tv channels it operates, starting from January 1st, 2017.
TVJ stands for “TéléVision du Jurdiskan”. The corporate logo shows the initials of TVJ as well as the initials of the translation of “TéléVision du Jurdiskan” in Jurdic (they can be romanized as JZM).
The five circles symbolize the five TV channels, and are abstract enough to let someone think of a flower or a star. They are placed as a pentagon in order to reflect the will of stability of TVJ (including financial stability; financial problems caused TVJ 6 and TVJ 7 to close recently).
The TVJ group works like most public television groups of Europe (France Télévisions, Telewizja Polska, Sveriges Television, etc.).
Let me introduce you to the five channels operated by TVJ.
TVJ 1 is the main channel operated by TVJ and is by far the oldest of the country. It is a generalist channel, which means that it broadcasts a wide variety of programmes (newscasts, series, movies, entertainment, game shows, magazines, etc.). It broadcasts in French, and competes with private channel 2i for the status of most-watched channel in the country. It is logically on channel 1 on the free-to-air Digital Terrestrial Television system (TNT).
TVJ 2′s programmation is less mainstream than TVJ 1′s, and, for example, tends to focus more on theater, documentaries, and… agriculture. Therefore it attracts less viewers. It was not always the case: in its history, TVJ 2 was a region-focused channel with regional opt-outs. Like its big sister, TVJ 2 broadcasts in French. Viewers who want to watch TVJ 2 through the TNT should type 12 on their remote controller.
3 JZM’s main characteristic is that it broadcasts entirely in Jurdic. Just like TVJ 1, it is a wide-range generalist channel; for example, 3 JZM broadcasts programmes focused on the interests of the “First People of Jurdiskan” as well as foreign series dubbed in Jurdic (including a NavyCIS-like series which is very popular among Jurdic audiences). Until August 29, 2016, this channel’s name was TVJ 3. 3 JZM is the channel 3 on TNT.
TVJ 4 used to be a sports-focused channel, until TVJ 6 and TVJ 7 closed down. Since then, its programmation changed radically, and mainly consists on reports, current affairs and documentaries (inherited from TVJ 6), with a news flash at least every hour (inherited from previous 24/7 news channel TVJ 7). It broadcasts in French and in Jurdic depending on the time of the day, and also airs one Spanish-language broadcast per day. One of its most known programme blocks, inherited from TVJ 6, is the “world news at night” block, which consists in broadcasting news bulletins from broadcasters of several neighbouring countries. Some of the sport content of the “previous TVJ 4″ is now broadcast on TVJ1, 3 JZM, and TVJ 5. As for TVJ 4′s position in the TNT, it is channel 14.
TVJ 5 targets a younger audience than the other channels of the TVJ group. It broadcasts music videos, children’s cartoons, and comedy series. It earned a reputation by broadcasting anime series in prime-time every Friday. TVJ 5 was nearly axed due to cost restrictions, at the same time as TVJ 6 and TVJ 7, but many viewers expressed strong support for this channel, so it was kept. TVJ 5 broadcasts in French and is on TNT channel 15.
It should be noted that these five channels broadcast many of their programmes with a second audio canal, allowing, for example, a French-speaker to watch a series on 3 JZM with a French dub, and also allowing a Jurdic-speaker to watch some anime on TVJ 5 with a Jurdic dub. It explains why the NavyCIS-like series broadcast on 3 JZM has a strong viewership even among viewers whose native language is French.
Bonus, here is a list of the channels carried by the TNT system, both public (TVJ, CORTU, etc.) and private (ITV, ViewGroupe, HVM, etc.). Channel 8 and Channel 9 are always regional channels! >> Read higher-res chart there

Political parties in Jurdiskan
Liste Noire (Black List)
A small yet vocal anticapitalistic party. It attracts very few voters.
Parti Communiste du Jurdiskan
The historical communist party of the country. It attracts less and less voters over the years.
Mouvement Marxiste
A fork of the PCJ, which attracts some voters who previously voted for the PCJ because of its more modern communication and its less archaic political programme.
Parti Vert
The green party, also it is a left party (though more moderately than the Mouvement Marxiste). It is growing in popularity year after year, it is now the 4th biggest party of Jurdiskan.
Union Sociale et Travailliste
Centre-left. Wants more regulation over businesses. Is liberal on social topics. Wants more taxes. One of the biggest and oldest political parties in the country.
Parti du Levant (Party of the East)
As its name suggests, it is a fork of the UST in the East of the country, born from disagreements on political ideas. The Parti du Levant is a bit closer to the centre than the UST.
Balle au Centre
A small centrist party, which seems to be successful only in the south-westernmost provinces.
Union pour une Démocratie Libérale
Currently the party in power in Jurdiskan. It is positioned on the centre-right, and has liberal views for economy as well as for society. It can be compared to the Democrats of the United States.
Union Populaire Républicaine
One of the oldest political parties there. Its popularity shrinked, which benefitted to the UDL and the NP. It holds the same liberal views as the UDL as far as economy is concerned, but is way more conservative on questions of society.
Nationalisme Patriote
Clearly a right-wing party. Criticized for promoting an old-fashioned vision of the country, even by far-right voters, who nowadays prefer voting for FA.
Force Améthyste
A very recent political party, yet already condemned several times for racism (this party feeds on polemics and some of its members promote white supremacism of French-speaking people over the other inhabitants of Jurdiskan; it uses provocative slogans).
Union des Tribus Premières du Jurdiskan
A centrist party, which focuses on the interests of the “First People of Jurdiskan”.
Parti Indépendantiste Jurde
An other party focused on the interests of the “First People”. It holds less moderate point of views, though; it holds views that are close to the views of the green party (except on ecology). Its links with some extremist groups made its popularity sink, even among the “First People of Jurdiskan”.
Intérêts Uccos / Interestesi Ucconensi
This party promotes the interests of the Ucco people living in the centre of the country. It is way more moderate than some violent organizations which supported the riots of the early nineties (and which were since dismantled).

Some facts about Jurdiskan
Don’t try to locate Jurdiskan somewhere on Earth: this country is located on an other planet. ^_^
There are two official languages at a national level in Jurdiskan: French and Jurdic. A few other official languages are recognized on a local scale.
Jurdiskan is divided in 8 regions, and each region is composed of 4 provinces; each of them containing 4 sub-provincial admnistrative units.
Jurdiskan is roughly the same size as Germany, but its density of population is closer to Serbia’s.
The history of Jurdiskan has been tainted with colonialism and, more recently, with riots in the centre of the country.
Nowadays the atmosphere is more peaceful; cohesion and solidarity between the several ethnic groups of the Jurdic nation is a sacred goal, written in the Constitution.
The most popular sport in Jurdiskan is very similar to rugby.

So this is my personal symbol, halfway between a logo and a sigil I should say. What does it represent? How to describe it? Hmmm…
Let’s start with the starting point.
A few months ago, I created a fictional alphabet, which I called the Jurdic alphabet. I intend it to be used with a fictional language, the Jurdic language, which I have yet to create.
It works phonetically, so basically the word “Tumblr” would be written as:
(which would be pronounced “Tambler” due to the pronunciation of the Jurdic language)
The same way, Neko, which is my nickname, would be written this way with the Jurdic alphabet:
Now, back to the symbol in the square. Notice these weird figure inside of the diamond: it’s made of the four Jurdic letters above! It’s made of the Jurdic letters “n” “e” “k” “o”.
To this figure, I added the number 14 because it is my lucky number! And I put all of it inside a diamond because I like squares rotated at a 45° angle (nothing more).
I am very proud of this symbol, and I use it as a personal emblem!
In the future, I will also share details about the Jurdic alphabet and my fictional country project on the Jurdiskan blog.
