he pretty much assumed that those in charge would want him as far away from Jude as possible, considering both of their skill sets. but, if they were going to take his blood for these things, he was going to do as he pleased.

Grip on Jude tightened, as if something of someone could rip him away from Adrian at a moments notice. no, Jude was his and he'd fight the gods themselves if he had to, to keep him with him. somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew that reality wasn't exactly fiction either.

shoving those thoughts out of his mind, he kissed Jude, slowly, passionately, teeth snagging lower lip breifly as he did so. they'd make it, he'd find a way.

"All yours," He murmured, leaning in closer to the other. His guard. Oh, what a predicament this could be.

Not that he cared. He'd find a way to get any potential tracking device from himself and sneak off with Adrian if it came down to it.

sometimes the reality of their situation came crashing into them, especially on days where they made sure to remind Jude he was just an experiment, rather than human. and one of the worst bits was they expected Adrian to 'coerce him' if he resisted. he never had had to, which he was thankful, but he knew he most likely couldnt even if he was required to. no, Jude meant more to him than anyone else had before in his life. he couldnt explain it.

even though Jude's hold on him was looser, Adrian tightened his own around the younger man. letting out a soft breath as he felt him nuzzle into his neck. if he could pause time, and just... exist with Jude here? gods, hed give anything for that. he couldnt get them out, not yet.... but could still protect him here as much as he could.

"mhm," he answered," I don't mind. just let me know when you want to move to couch or bed or somewhere else."

He was due to the lab tomorrow, and Jude wanted anything but to go there. He wanted to stay with Adrian, there, alone in one of their rooms. If he had any true autonomy, they'd let him.

He knew that wasn't going to happen.

Once beckoned, Jude closed any distance between them. Arms wrapped around Adrian, cautious in how tight he chose to hold onto him, just in case. He nuzzled his neck, slow breath leaving him as the tension dropped from his shoulders. He felt... better... here. Like they were in their own little world, almost.

"Can we just stay like this?"

he wanted him to stay. he wanted him. Adrian shifted to be more facing the other, searching his eyes in case there was hesitation after the request was out of his mouth.

"c'mere," he murmured, "I'll be here for as long as you need me." he had no intentions of leaving, not until Jude told him to leave. he knew it wasnt exactly kosher, to be this close to the person he was supposed to protect. but, they couldn't exactly say he was failing in his duties. Jude would still be watched over and protected, particularly if he was was in Adrian's arms.

"you think?" Cal answered, still staring at the very much not occupied containment pen. he cursed softly under his breath, trying to see if he could reach out to Jude, see if he could do a shadow sweep or something.

"we got to find it before they find out."

He caught the way Jude's eyes drifted, and for a moment he contemplated saying something about it, teasing or hinting to see if it would be welcomed, rather than just going for it. Though adrian did have half a mind to do it anyways and accept the consequences.

"I know you call her mom, I've been your shadow for how long now?" He pointed out. He'd seen the way they interacted, how she spoke and cared for him. How he adored her. What was it like to have a mother that wasn't cold, calculating and seemed to act as your very existence was a problem for her? He envied it, but not an any true way. Who wouldn't after all? He was pulled out of his thoughts with the movement near him and the slight touch from Jude as he moved some of the loose strands of Adrian's hair back out of his face. Almost instinctively he leaning against the touch, blinking as hand pulled away.

"Gods, your cute when you get flustered like this," he murmured, slight grin on his lips as he watched Jude's reaction, setting the bottle closer to him and scooting it, "not that you got a reason to be embarrassed."

Part of him tensed as Jude mentioned the viewing area. Under the tank. Underground. But it wasn't like normal tunnels or underground things, there'd be easier access out, they wouldn't be trapped fully. But.... underground. He'd go. Test it out, and if it anything felt off or too much? He'd go back up top. Besides, it wasn't like he could exactly explain why he didn't enjoy being underground, not fully yet.

"don't do well with being underground," he admitted, "but the viewing area is a bit different than a cave or tunnel, so I'm willing to se just what the angle looks like."

Jude could feel the way the alcohol warmed him slightly. He wasn't too sure if he was a fan of drinking it straight, rather than a mixed drink, but he planned on drinking more still if Adrian was. Dark eyes drifted his focus to Adrian's lips as he spoke. They looked... soft.

Eyes flicked back up to Adrian's, nodding as he spoke. "If they try to tell you know, bring it up to mo- Ms Aguilar. She'll find a way."

Jude moved a little closer to Adrian, reaching up to brush some of his hair back. Once he realized what he was doing, he backed off, glancing away. "Sorry. Um- can I have that again?" He gestured to the bottle, thinking he'd need more of that if he was going to keep embarrassing himself like this.

"You know, they have a tunnel meant for observation for staff where it's like... entirely under the tank. Completely safe, she's rammed it before and it didn't even crack. But you'd get to see under the tank and see her differently, not just side angles like here?"

He didnt want to leave him, he hated the times when he had to be on mainland away from him. he at least could feild danger of something were to happen. these creatures that had been ressurected.... something felt wrong about them, even as much as Ezra loved them. they were incredible, but something instinctual in him said none of them were to be trusted. it wasn't like other animals like a bear or lion in a zoo. and if something happened to Ezra? the kitsune didn't know how well he'd handle that.

"If I tell them theres a few more things I need to look into? at least a couple more days," he murmured, free hand moving to Ezra's waist to pull him a little closer now the younger man's grip was tight on his own hips, "But I am required to be back on mainland for the quarterly meetings for InGen, things are getting.... tense with a few of the investors."

Ezra knew better than to try and delay Ryker's leaving, knowing he'd be safer off the island.... But the thought of parting from him had distressed Ezra too much. The younger of the two leaned into his touch, the kiss relaxing him somewhat.

Hands moved to Ryker's hips, grip rougher than intended as mismatched eyes scanned his face. "How much longer?" His voice was quiet, almost as if he was afraid of the answer.

The older man hesitated in his movements, any resolve to leave gone after the words were spoken. He needed to be on the plane back to the mainland, but.... he could always catch the next helicopter from InGen.

"You're too hard to resist, you know that?" He murmured, moving closer to the boy and slipping g hand to hold his jaw slightly, placing a gentle soft kiss to his lips, "I'll stay."

Gods, why did he have to be so pretty? Those eyes, that smile, the way he bit his lip before speaking. Adrian knew he couldn't have a weakness for this one, and yet, he most certainly did. He was adorable, and pretty, and....

Stop it. He wanted to kiss him, and he knew that was the alcohol taking over. As much as he wanted to even when sober, he didn't even know if Jude wanted him. He barely tolerated at times, what made him think he'd ever think of him as anything more than a guard dog. Grin flitted across his face as he watched Jude try and drink from the bottle. That was one thing the other hadn't yet mastered.

"It'll get easier the longer you drink. Not bad for drinking it straight from the bottle," he told him, taking a smaller drink from it now he had someone around with him, someone he didn't want to exactly be insanely drunk in front of. He looked over at Jude, looking him up and down for a moment, "think we could get them to sign off on it? Because I'd actually like that, and you'd get to see something that wasn't this island."

"maybe," he answered, leaning a little back on his hands, eyes scanning the other now next to him, "or it could have just been a reef shark."

he took the bottle again, another drink though a smaller one at that, and offered it to Jude. he'd not been fully expecting company, but Jude was company he'd take any day. granted, of course some days he didnt have a choice due to his job but even still.... there were much more annoying and certainly less attractive people to be stuck with.

"oh hell yeah, the adrenaline rush of it was incredible, still one of my favorite memories of him when I was little. he got me able to stand and stay before we had to leave that base."

he felt the way Jude's eyes settled on him and he looked over to him, cocking an eyebrow. of course there was more than he would tell him, but, as excited as he'd been, he didnt want to kill that enthusiasm. in fact he didn't think he'd ever seen him that excited for anything.

"it's your lucky day then, because InGen gave me the night off and decided to let you run wild tonight," he did think it was... odd, that they just happened to give Jude more freedom the day they gave him off. really, he needed to have a routine call with Hatter, as there might have been a possible new job he needed him on, and that would mean Hatter would take his place until he could come back.

"what, afraid you're gonna miss me too much?"

Jude watched his expression, trying to discern any potential meaning aside from what Adrian said. He didn't seem too excited, and Jude wondered briefly if the gatherings really weren't all that.

He hadn't really thought about being without Adrian. Sure, he was when he slept or showered, but.... Any time he was out of his room (most of the very top floor of the staff compound was his), Adrian was right there.

"I just expected them to make you stay with me," Jude admitted, giving a small shrug. "So, you're letting me be on my own, then?"

Jude didn't know what it was about Adrian that kept drawing him in. Yet, the shadows whispered to him about going to one of the Mossasaur viewing points, and he made his way, following the voices that he knew no one else could hear.

He'd watched Adrian for a moment, debating on interrupting his quiet time, but when the other seemed to know he was there.... He moved closer, taking a seat next to him as he spoke.

"Dr. Wu has been working on these creatures for years. Could have been an escapee from the old park that you saw," Jude stated, risking a glance at Adrian. His father. Jude wouldn't know what that was like. Esme had a few flings, but he'd never liked any of them. Never thought any of them were good enough for her. "But did you still have fun? Even wiping out?"

this enclosure was one of the lower ones he could actually stand to be in for longer periods of time. it wasn't exactly underground, but it wasn't above either. really, the draw was the great beast that was The Mosasaur. he'd watch her swim for god knows how long, there was something therapuatic almost.

he unscrewed the cap of the vodka bottle he'd snagged out of his quarters and after taking another drink from it set it down almost between them, having sensed more than saw Jude near him. he was off duty, hence why he was able to drink, and be decently tipsy.

"When I was a kid, we were on one of the Hawaiian bases for a small bit. Dad got really into surfing on his days off and I'd go with, watch him or read on the rocks while being overly critical of his wave catching. one day i finally got him to teach me how. I remember sitting on that board next to him so focused on that wave I was supposed to catch. ended up wiping out very quickly, got disoriented and, having the overactive imagination I did, swore I saw some giant ass creature before he hauled me up to the surface. looked at lot like her," he nodded his head towards the dinosaur in the water behind the glass, "freaked me out and he had me sit with him on his board, and just... told me all kinds of facts about sea dinosaurs, said the more we knew about something, the less frightening they would become. and of course that they were long, long dead. sometimes, I wonder just what he would think of this place, how excited he'd have been to have just sat and watched em."
