“You’re writing an article- and don’t try to lie, I know when you’re lying,” he shook his head at her, crossing his arms over. “Do you not have any sympathy for this situation? People are hurting Regina,” he told her, but he wasn’t going to elaborate on how much this was hurting him. His heart ached, he felt guilt, pain, but most of all sorrow. Who was going to tell him the truth now? Who was going to look out for him? “Just stop, don’t do it today… for me.”

Regina watched as he was obviously disappointed in her but he couldn’t really expect her not to write about this. It was the biggest thing that’s happened in years, it’s not like she would be the only one writing about it. In face she was sure there were at least a handful of people already working on it as they spoke. She knew when he said people he also included himself but it was in a nature to keep “I know people are hurting, I’m not trying to make it worse. I’m just trying to do my job. Don’t you want to know what happened? If this was a one time attack or if whoever is doing this is going to do it again?“

It was a coincidence that the boy came to find Regina, they hadn’t been on the best of terms recently, it had been argument after argument, so they’d broke up. He’d spotted the girl talking to someone and he knew exactly what she was doing, he couldn’t believe she had the gall to do it. He stormed over to her, stopping beside her and the person she was talking to. “You’ll have to excuse us,” he informed them. “You wanna come with me?” he questioned her, his tone harsh, but he didn’t really give her much choice as he led her outside. “Please tell me you’re not doing what I think you are.”

He didn’t let her get out another word before Hugo dragged her away from the other girl, she almost let out a groan but didn’t want to give him that satisfaction. When they were far enough from ear shot of everyone, knowing both of them didn’t want anyone to listen to the screaming match that was inevitably going to happen. She pulled away from him before she spoke looking up at him questioningly, as if he didn’t already know her more than anyone else. “And what exactly am I doing?“

Stuck in the uncomfortable situation of being approached by intrusive people meaning well, but betraying clear signs of curiosity rather than compassion, Lily tried to maintain a friendly pose all through the unpleasant series of questions. Normally, she would have showered in the attention like it were made of gold drops, but today in particular was nowhere near normal. All she wanted was her family, out of which she couldn’t even rely on Albus to find her, grab her arm and spare her the overwhelming crowd of people. Her mistake for wearing bright, obvious orange the very day her brother would die.

“Listen, I just want to find my brother… my, um,… no, not the one that… The one that… James. I’d very much like to see my brother, James. I can’t talk right now. It’s not the moment,“ she addressed to the girl standing in front of her, and the corridors never seemed so tight before.

Before Regina could even ask any of her questions Lily started talking frantically, the blonde let the girl go on for a while letting her get out everything she wanted to say. No one except for Hugo had ever asked for her help before and it wasn’t exactly like she could turn down this request. “I saw him in the north hall but you just have to take a deep breath first okay?“ She said trying to calm the other girl down. “I’ll help you find him.”

Roxanne usually didn’t mind reporters much when it came to them writing about her career, but she found those gossip articles stupid and pointless. Didn’t Skeeter have an ounce of human decency? “I’m feeling like I’m going to punch you in the face if you take any step closer to my family.”

“Wow, there’s no need for violence. I’m not trying to do anything to your family, I’m just trying to express my hurt about what just happened. All I was doing was asking how you were feeling, in this troubling time.“ Her words being extremely professional and all strung up together harmlessly.

About an hour after it happened Regina already had the front page layout of how tomorrows paper would look. It wasn’t like she was completely heartless it was more of an instant reaction every time something remotely big happened and this was big. This was, in her mind, going to be the article that makes her career. A son of one of the greatest wizards dead? At a tournament that he had just won. Skeeter had a gut feeling this was an attack, even though she knew everyone was too scared to admit right after it happened but they were thinking it, they all had to. However, she did need quotes for her article and needed to know for sure what they were all thinking. “This is all so insane right? I can’t believe this is actually happening. How are you feeling?“ Her voice soft like honey.
