Back in April, I did my first cosplay and being in drag at an Anime festival. It was a process, it was a journey, and some things didn’t fall through how I wanted. However, I’m grateful to experience my first time exploring my feminine side thanks to my lovely friend Shawn. Thanks to their support I feel enough to express a new side to myself while having fun. I was debating whether I should post this on any social media back then because I am scared of how people in my life will view me. Mostly my family and their friends, and whatever phobic comments will occur in irl, or in general, but screw that! When I rewatched “Belle” the anime movie, it made me realized that I shouldn’t be hiding the other parts of me. I’m thankful for the ones who saw my cosplay before posting this, and I’m thankful for the support I received when I feel self conscious.

Anyways, here’s me cosplaying as “Belle” from the 2021 anime movie [ʀʏū ᴛᴏ ꜱᴏʙᴀᴋᴀꜱᴜ ɴᴏ ʜɪᴍᴇ]. Inspired by the ballroom scene, Shawn and I were inspired by the pink petals on that dress and we reinterpret our version.

I hope the next time I will be able to cosplay another dress of Belle because the fashion in that movie are beautiful. 🌸
