Headcanon that when introducing Dipper and Mabel to anyone, Ford always sneaks in an opportunity to brag about their accomplishments. He also brags about them when they aren’t around to hear, but he always makes sure to express pride in their achievements when they’re standing right there and can hear.

I especially like this idea for Mabel, because it might seem obvious that Ford, a man with 12 PHDs and an obsession with science, discovery, and academic achievement, would brag about Dipper, but Ford is also super impressed and proud of all Mabel’s accomplishments as well!

And Ford bragging about her means so much to her. Dipper’s always been known as the “smart twin” but here’s this man with 12 PHDs sincerely bragging about her accomplishments, just like he does with Dipper. “This is my niece, Mabel. She’s a little artistic genius! She makes a very creative sweater every day! And she once made a hyper realistic, life-sized, wax statue of my brother, when she was 12! Isn’t that impressive?!”
