Black Market was a place where everyone came together to party. That’s pretty much it. The bar had a way of making it feel like a really big house party where everyone knew each other. This is the place where you made friends. It’s the place where you lost them. The place where you broke up with someone, hooked up with someone in the “Haunted Room”, cried over a boy, drank over a girl. A place where there was seemingly no rules, no judgements, definitely no regrets. A place where you came to see your favorite band, or deejay, local or not. A place where the bartenders could tell you to go FUCK yourself, and you still loved them enough to go back. A place where everyone took care of each other, where your regulars became friends, and then eventually your coworkers. A place where you realized your favorite crush was actually underage. True story. Black Market was a place where so many memories were made, and most have yet to be remembered. It was so many things to a lot of people, both the good and the bad. I’ll always treasure these moments, memories, and experiences.

El Paso Street Car 2019
I rode the street car during winter fest here in El Paso. The street car was free to ride until the 6th of January. It takes you through segundo barrio, downtown, uptown, and UTEP.

Our backyard is so beautiful, I felt my heart sink as you were in the mountains with me unknowingly.

We had been talking about a shoot for a good while but nothing really happened. My friend Annie is a jeweler, a good one at that, and had some new product she wanted to showcase. She asked me if I knew anyone who was willing to model her jewelry. I could only think of one person I knew would be perfect for the shoot.
The setting was White Sands National Monument, in between two storms, and getting 40 m.p.h. winds in our face. Getting sand blasted for hours can wear a person down to the bone, but not her. She kept her composure the entire time, like if there was no wind or sand flying in her eyes.
Today it stands as one of the most difficult shoots I’ve had to do, but the results I got were some of the best I’ve seen in a long time.

The Bell Tower was used as a look-out for Pancho Villa during the Mexican revolution. Villa also used the Caples building in downtown in El Paso, not too far away from this location, to conduct meetings regarding the war.
