If you steal a track, don't go and sell the song on iTunes. Because if the producer files a copyright claim against you, CDBaby/TuneCore/Distrokid will delete your WHOLE account from their system and their partner's platforms.

Producers really need to understand this: You are a writer & a master rights holder of every beat you make. It doesn't matter if somebody buys a non-exclusive license or an exclusive license, you get the royalties due to master rights owners & songwriters by default. 👍

"Growing up, I was taught to judge, to find fault in others. But as I've grown older, I've realized the power of empathy and kindness. We're all on unique journeys, facing our own battles and chasing our own dreams. Let's choose compassion over criticism, understanding over judgment. In a world where we only get one shot, let's make it count by spreading kindness wherever we go. 🌟 #ChooseKindness #EmpathyWins #OneLifeToLive"

There are 6 basic types of agreements that songwriters sign with a music publisher. They are the Individual Song Agreement, the Exclusive Songwriter's Agreement, the Co-Publishing Agreement, the Participation Agreement, the Administration Agreement and the Foreign Sub-Publishing Agreement.

This track is a remake of the Ronnie Davis Classic from 1974, and my first release for 2024 after taking a year off.
"I Won't Cry" by Ronnie Davis paints a vivid picture of unrequited love and the pain associated with it. Through poignant lyrics and a soulful performance, Davis captures the struggles, complexities, and unwavering commitment of love that endures against all odds. This song speaks to anyone who has experienced unreciprocated affection, offering solace and a reminder that even in the face of heartache, it is possible to find strength and continue loving.

Warning ⚠️ this post may upset some people, but it's my truth! I have been warning artists about things like this my whole career. 💯
As a former member and administrator of ISSA, I would like to share my experience. ISSA is a Facebook group started by one hurt ego when they failed to win a Josie award. Most of the original members and administrators have left and are focused on their careers Some remaining members should be ashamed of themselves!
Calling me and emailing me researched information all while worshipping the person they are slandering. I will not name names, but they are the ones kissing ass pining for an award 🏆
I’m not mad, angry or bitter about walking away from ISSA, but something artists should know. The leader is not associated with music row or anything music related to Nashville. Google it!
ISSA Records!! Is not a label, it's a distrokid subscription to the label level.
Royalties do not get paid to your PRO from distribution. The sales are going direct into someone elses bank account.
Your votes for your self nominations do not go anywhere, the winners are selected by who is the flavor or ass kisser of the year. WSA is not run by Amie Warren in Australia it’s run by Issa's leader, the one who posts drip-feeding announcements all the time. she didn’t show up at the 2019 ISSA awards. The WSA is your trusted leader. Check your receipts from your submissions! Darrius Rucker, Reba, and Keith Richard’s did not show either, like was being touted.
If you think your award is free, add up your receipts from your trip . It’s kinda hard to get noticed in a closed group where your craft can not be shared. A Narcissist will warn you that everything else is a scam, all while scamming you.
If her career was as grorified as she says, you would all be flying high in the Industry, instead of glorifying her ego.
Focus on your craft and build your own path, the stress will be less as you will quit trying to impress the wrong people.

Psst…!
A little secret 🤫
Social media is NOT the music industry!
I have seen and been part of many social media groups and associations that claim they have everything you need to have a successful music career. Well… that’s not possible if you don’t have what you need to be successful in your music career 🤔.
Practice your craft, studying the part of the industry you want to be successful in,
Don’t let others dictate to you what your success should look like 👍
So many ask what’s wrong with the industry, well, trying to compete and copying what has already been done is the problem. Be original!! Even if you sing cover songs, make them your version and make it stand out.
Stop looking for approval 🙏👍🎵
And always support others, it’s a two way street 👌

🎶 Music Tip: Did you know artists don't earn distribution sales through PROs? Sales come via distributors. PROs handle performances and licensing IF you're registered as a publisher. Metadata matters for publishing and distribution. Ensure you're well-informed for a smooth payment journey! 📊🎵 #MusicIndustryInsights #ArtistTips

Here is a brief overview of what Radio Stations are looking for when they ask for Professionally Mastered & Tagged Music.
So professionally tagged consist of meta data. Mastering is referring to finished sound quality and meta tagging. What stations do not want is, an mp3 of someone sitting in the bathroom with their guitar and then sending it in labeled ‘ Track 01- final ‘
You can use iTunes to meta tag your MP3’s but there are other app's that work also.
.Wav files will only except limited meta data, such as, name, song titles & Comments. Mp3s will store artwork and your IRSC # for the songs, if they are registered. IRSC# is usually given to your song from your distributor. Also before you submit your song to radio, register with ASCAP or BMI and get the ISWC #. Then register with Soundexchange, because they collect your royalty payments from digital streams
