Jacket 3: I Don’t Have A Funny Name For This One: John Variants Time Tho

Basic rules:

1. No real people, fictional John variants only please. Please only submit fictional characters, I won’t be accepting for example, concepts or place names.

2. The form will remain open until 1pm CST on June 2nd.

3. Please only submit each variant once and only one variant per form.

4. I’m gonna accept pretty much anyone. If you can make the argument to me that it is in fact a John variant, there will be a place for it in the form, but I’ll make the final call.

4A. If I get enough of certain variants, I will break the bracket down into more specific variants (ex. maybe a Jon bracket, maybe a Johnny bracket), this will depend on numbers of submissions.

5. The bracket will be 32 variants max, as last time. This time my One Mod Blorbo automatically in is Ianto Jones (Torchwood). Please do feel free to nominate him though as the number of nominations will determine the seeding.

6. It will still be mandatory to give a reason why you’re nominating your variant. This is both to make sure no one spams, and because I want to know your reason! You will also be required to give a reason why your variant is a variant (if yours is like Johnny or Jon, you can just like… put that, and I’ll get it).

Welcome to the machinima character tournament!

Let's find out who the ultimate machinima character is (with some caveats):

NO CHARACTERS FROM RVB OR HLVRAI. I love both of these shows to death but letting any of these characters in would basically guarantee their win.

In the kindest way possible, because almost everyone who's left tags has been like, enthusiastic/nice/only playfully mean, I've been thinking about making a list of etiquette for interacting with these brackets. Because when you have enough people in one space, IRL or online, you'll inevitably have at least a few people who say some of the most hurtful, out of pocket shit possible, and I don't want things to get ruined for anyone else you know?

Like, things you SHOULD do (unless a poll runner specifically says they don't want it):

Uplift your favs

PLAYFULLY slander the competition

Make fun memes about the polls

Things you SHOULDN'T do:

Post multi-paragraph rants about how much you hate a character

Ask the poll runner to include characters well into the voting phase of the bracket

Demand they run second, third, etc brackets because Your favorite character didn't get submitted

Things you ABSOLUTELY do NOT do:

Compare the poll results to real-life politics ("Which robot would you fuck" != Brexit, 2016 POTUS, etc)

Tell people to kill themselves if they dont vote for your favorite character

Send death threats/doxx people running the Tumblr poll (!?)

another tournament poll for all those couples who should have been canon, if only the writers weren't pussies! i've been many polls like this and i thought this is a subject people would be passionate about!

Jacket 2: The Jack Off

Oh my god we’re back again :3 

This is just as it sounds, it’s the John Bracket but for Jacks. I will not be changing my URL, thank you, it’s my Brand, but I may reverse my mourning colors once the John King has been decided. I will still be holding a John Variants bracket after this one, don’t worry.

3. Please only submit each Jack once and only one Jack per form.

4. I am very specifically only accepting a character called Jack. It can be a first or last name or a nickname, but it’s gotta be a Jack, you know? I am going to say that Jack Seward is not allowed because he ran in the John bracket, he will not be accepted, but most other Jacks are legal. I will be determining them on a case by case basis.

5. The bracket will be 32 Jacks max, as last time. I am continuing my bias of having One Mod Blorbo automatically in, that is Jack Harkness (Doctor Who/Torchwood). Please do feel free to nominate him though as the number of nominations will determine the seeding.

while round 4 goes on, you get the chance to vote through google forms to get back TWO previously losing ships. the catch is, you only have ONE response per person.

there is 146 ships to choose from, all losers from rounds 1, 2, and 3, as voted by you, the people! theres also a free write section just because i like hearing yall talk about the ships lol
