Afterlife history orientation
Good morning and welcome to Afterlife, applicants. I’m sure you're well versed in everything Afterlife related but the tour shall first start here as we explain the history of the company. A genius named Harry Talt was working hard on technologies that he had hoped could copy the brain and replicate it. He failed in his endeavour but on his journey he learned how to upload a man's brain into a server and esceintly make them immortal. The process of moving the soul of a man to server is known as refracting. Refracting is lethal and should only be used on sick and dying people; you can also refract a recently deceased person if their brain is still firing. In 2040 Afterlife opened a company that would allow you immortality, after the launch and success many governments stopped fighting and invested heavily into afterlife as well as make legislation to insure its unending operations. Not everyone was happy as many feared this was an insult to god, this led to the assasination of Harry Talt in 2056. Tolt’s brain was unscannable due to missing grey and white matter. His death was truly the biggest loss for man since perhaps ever. Afterlife still continues upgrading his work and finishing his well planned ideas. It still is unfortunately impossible for a person to temporarily upload their mind to the server. But people in the servers can still contact us, and we have made improvements in Afterlife robots although they are still a while away, people who have been uploaded may one day come back to the real world. Most servers tend to be like heaven almost, not to say there is no pain, many servers act like video games and others simulate the real world. It's a lot like chat rooms of the 2020s. If you have any questions about Afterlife please feel free to ask.
