This is the second time in my voting history that I’ve participated in flipping a red seat in Alabama for Democrats (the previous time being my beloved Doug Jones) so it’s always funny to see people turn around and say voting doesn’t matter when I’ve seen it twice in the past ten years flip seats in what is supposed to be safe Republican country. Republicans are digging their own grave with their radicalization and it is making them lose (and with your help we can make them lose harder). Vote.

If you consider yourself “pro-Palestinian” and then engage in the following behaviors

- Deny or downplaythe holocaust or engage in the “Jewish Question” (Frankly any Nazi adjacent rhetoric)

- Deny crimes committed by Assad against his own people in Syria. Or using Syrian war crimes and reframing them as Israeli war crimes against Palestine.

- Engage in Russia apologia or believing that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is justified in any way.

I do not want to be associated with you in any way and to be honest I don’t think you genuinely care about the Palestinian people at all. I believe that you view Palestinians as nothing more than political pawns that you will use in order to further your own ideological goals rather than viewing them as people that need attention and our care and support. You are against genocide when it’s one group but when it’s other groups you will deny that any genocide is taking place at all. Your standards aren’t consistent. I’m not tolerating you in this space. Tankies and antisemites aren’t welcome.

Watching the reactions to Roger Corman's death and it seems hard to explain who he was to people who don't know him. "So he was a producer of shitty b-movies?" Yes! And he's responsible for the careers of dozens of directors, actors, and other filmmakers and is pretty inarguably one of the single most important people in modern film. By making shitty b-movies

When I say "Roger Corman made countless movies and some of them are really good," that sounds like an insult, but it's not. If your job is cranking out another movie every three days and you manage to create 5-10 masterpieces, that is amazing. RIP to the father of the indie film.

like 99% of "men and women are soooo different!!!" comedy is literally just describing the experience of not understanding other people. like it's not that women never say what they mean talking to other people is just like that. it can be hard to understand what other people are thinking. bioessentialism really rots the brain
