they manage to escape, though they have no alternative hideout to stay in. so they decide to break into an abandoned building and stay the night there and just. figure it out in the morning

but

the building they break into happens to be some infamously haunted hospital or something that the locals dont dare go near >:)

jigen would be the first one to get scared, he comments on how the place gives him the creeps on their way in and generally sticks real close by lupin the whole time JKHGJHF he keeps seeing and hearing things but lupin and goemon reassure him its just his imagination

then later in the night fujiko sees/hears/feels something that terrifies her and sends her running to cling to goemon for the rest of the night

at this point goe is starting to get a bit unnerved when something suddenly scares lupin so now him and jigen are also huddled up in fear around the samurai JKHJGH goe please protect them lmao

goemon tries to calm them all down until all 4 of them see something in the darkness and hear a voice which terrifies even goemon so uh. they get the fUCK out of there as fast as they can and almost trip over eachother on the way out

suddenly while theyre running off, something grabs lupin's arm and pulls him backwards, everyone turns when he screams, expecting some monster to have gotten him, except it was just zenigata JKHJGHF hed managed to find them right when they left the building and threw one of those rope cuffs on lupin

next thing they know hes hauling them off to jail, and when zeni overhears them all talking about what theyd heard and seen in the building he gets kinda nervous since hes heard all the ghost stories surrounding it (which when he mentions that, lupin bugs him to tell them about it JKHJGH)
