In my jammies, setting the tv to record Sunday’s #AMajesticChristmas — part of @hallmarkchannel‘s first batch of holiday movies with black leads. 🎄 (And I tried to get some black Santas in there but we ran outta time 😂) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bqx9rqwhV-d/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=16fmjzjnct2tm

The lovely thing about having a tv family is that, if you want, you can become #chosenfamily. My tv daughter knows my flower child ways and made this portrait of me at our last slumber party. So watch the show tonight because she’s even more adorable in it than this post-it note masterpiece. 🌻🧚🏾♀️#hereandnow #hereandnowhbo
“There a single sentence from my conversation with Jerrika Hinton [...] that has been bouncing around my head for weeks. I hear it when I walk into my office building, when I’m brushing my teeth, or when I’m inspecting the pre-made salad section of Trader Joe’s: ‘Respectability does not save you.’” 📸 @alistillstein | 📝 @refinery29 | 👱🏻♂️ @williamson_joe
You know what I think is really cool about language (English in this case)? It’s the way you can express “I don’t know” without opening your mouth. All you have to do is hum a low note, a high note, then another lower note. The same goes for yes and no. Does anyone know what this is called?
