sooo many thoughts but main one: i love this song and am so proud of Jennie <3

everyone go listen to Slow Motion! it’s truly amazing and different to what we’ve heard before! she (and matt) are both amazing and their voices blend so well together, as well as this being a very different way to how we’ve heard Jennie sing before.

sometimes i forget how much women in kpop groups, (specifically the pinks in this post) were restricted/controlled subtly (specifically referring to why gee and the pinks.

like we all saw the obvious misogyny ( the way they got like 4 comebacks altogether in seven years, the way they were used to boost the male idols within their company rather than themselves, the way they had little to no protection with malicious rumours, specifically sexual/romantic and dr*g rumors even though it is a prevalent problem among their male counterparts in that company)

but seeing jennie be so comfortable in Apartment 404 compared to Village Survival is shocking.

i mean, she had fun in Village Survival, but how she held back during deducing clues, playing games, and interacting with other members is very obvious to me now. she had a very cutesy and slightly childish role in the show ( a common trait that why gee female idols in variety shows and company shows)

but in Apartment 404, even though only the second episode came out yesterday, we can see how differently she'd being portrayed. she's fully and cunningly playing games, partaking in all the jokes, blending seamlessly with her costars and interacting comfortably and friendly.

In Village Survival she mainly hung out with the girls, but when she hung out with the boys she avoided Song Kang (a netflix heartthrob and popular actor) with maybe one or two interactions. whereas the other male costars were all married/dating or simply much older.

where as with Apartment 404, even with the much larger misogynistic hate train she's received in the time between, she is much more comfortable and friendly. and yes, most of the actors are older but lets look at Jungha. he's mostly known now as a popular actor from the show "moving"

she laughs with hime vv often and in this last episode was seen reaching for him, offering her hand, laughing comfortably with him.

i definitely think that the announcement being in debut announcement order is even more so intentional past the sisterhood of it all and representing that they are still blackpink.

i feel like it is also a deeper meaning of them debuting….themselves. the way THEY want to be seen and viewed as artists.

like we all saw that even though they became a huge powerhouse on kpop and globally, they haven’t been taken seriously as idols, actors, models etc. and that is largely due to how YG marketed them after debut.

(no writing credits and it wasn’t for lack of willingness, little to no control over artistry, few and far between comebacks)

yg turned them into placeholders for future talent despite the fact that they were the top artists in that company.

and yg barely allowed them to be viewed as separate and real people aside from blackpink.

(artists that wished to collab with one member were given all four, shows became limited as they were only available as all four, covers had to be the four)

it was a group project but it wasn’t shown as four talented artists coming together.

but now it will be seen as that. and i am beyond proud of them for creating that for themselves.

i just need to say that i love that we can see the love and unity between the girls with their company announcement.

like they ALL chose to make their own solo company AND stay as blackpink.

they chose to announce their companies in the same order as they were announced as blackpink. and that is not a coincidence. they’re showing that yes, they have no intention to continue with yg but they love us and them enough to make that sacrifice to stay as blackpink. and even though these actions are spectate and unique to them, it is still a group. they are still a group.

anyway blackpink best girls and i wish them nothing but happiness and success and i am eagerly waiting for our rosie posie <3

so i have this horrible habit of not watching a show until the whole thing is finished (blame streaming for that) so i didn’t start this show at the same time as everyone else

( i do this w most shows i.e Last Immortal, Marry My Husband, My Demon, Love Like The Galaxy, Euphoria etc)

so my knowledge other than the trailer n plot comes from tiktok’s (ik but hear me out)

so tbh i did want Dong-eun to end w the bullies husband cuz they made such a good match in the tiktok’s i watched

(and they still do make a good match )

but the ML and Dong-eun are way better

finally watching The Glory (cuz i loooove Song Hye-Kyo so damn much) and this show is soooo brilliant? the production quality, the music, the script everything is flawless

the last response reminded me that the mafia!pinks are INSANE, like they are always so cute with their love and stuff, and its just these random moments where I remember why they are yandere 😭😭

thank you!!! tbh that’s how i want them to be cuz i like the subtle horror feeling when it comes to the yandere / dark romance genre! that’s also why i have my yanderes be the way they are instead of the “kill their darling if they can’t have them” type!

(which is also a totally valid form of yandere /dark romance aus!!! i’m not saying it’s not)

i personally am a vv romantic person and enjoy romance so i always wanna see the romance part of dark romance emphasized!! it adds a bit to the horror when you realize you really have to look at the whole picture to see it for how terrifying it is.

this is kinda random but what if the mafia!pinks' darlings were like wayy richer than them, and had the funds to like completely "disappear" from the earth if they escaped?

ooo this is fun!!! mainly cuz it means that the darlings would be billionaires at most and millionaires (like hundreds of millions) at the very least.

so let's enter daisy's silly lil head again!!!

in my mind, i think this would become a type of cat-and-mouse game and one that the mafia!pinks would very much enjoy. they didn't get to the positions that they had by running away from difficult situations.

now lets discuss whether or not this would actually create a disadvantage for the mafia!pinks. because you would think so, right? after all, we all know very very well that money makes the world go round. aka money=power . and if were honest i think I've mostly been focusing on that for the mafia!pinks.

however!!!!!

the power dynamic shift that would come with the darlings having more money would be equaled once you take into account the power of the mafia!pinks connections. not only are the blood pythons one of the most powerful Korean gangs but one of asia's. so the girlies have connections on connections. and for the connections they don't have, they can make very easily.

so yes, it would be easy for their darlings to disappear from the public with money, but they wouldn't be able to hide from the mafia!pinks. not for long at least.

and whether or not that would make the pinks become "turned off" from pursuing their darlings? not at all. they'd enjoy the game of cat and mouse, especially if they could trick their darlings into believing they had succeded in getting away. manipulation is fun for the girls, and they know that they will always have their darlings at the end of the day, even when they run away and hide. what is that one saying? absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I’m just wondering but who do you think will take it the worst when the reader plans to leave the Yandere!Pinks. Like they’ll actually go through the lengths of killing the reader just so no one else will ever be with you

well firstly i’d like to clarify that my yanderes would never kill their darlings. even if their darlings ran away/left them. i know there are some yandere types that act that way but for me and my yanderes they are more so “if you chose not stay with me i will make it impossible for you.”

i think i touched on this a little with one of my rosé reactions where she even offered to set her darling free. basically how it would play out is that she would manipulate everything and everyone around her darling so they they were left with no choice but to run back to her.

now the ranking on who would go the farthest? well here you go:

Jennie

she’d turn the world upside down for her darling. she’s got all the resources at her fingertips, and she’s not beyond making her darling miserable if it means she can play the savior. she doesn’t have to kill anyone but she will if she feels like it. her darlings family, friends, suitors etc. it’d all be free game. Jennie is feared for a reason, and she could make the world burn if it meant her darling ran back to her arms.

Rosé

she’s very good at the innocent act. she’d play as though letting her darling leave, like it was her darlings choice. but deaths would be quick until her darling was all alone, and jobs would simply never take her on. she’d make it so her darling would only believe her and only turn to her. again, her darlings friends and suitors would not last, but her family would live, but in a very difficult situation.

Jisoo

she’d be very similar to Jennie, however she’s third because she wouldn’t kill as much. suitors, of course. friends, maybe. depends if she sees them as a “threat” or if she thinks their annoying. family, she’d leave. she wouldn’t make her darling miserable, she’d make everyone around her miserable, to the point where only her darling would be comfortable and everyone would turn on them. Jisoo enjoys mind tricks and she’d trick her darling right back into her arms.

Lisa

she’d be the most subtly manipulative out of the group. she wouldn’t directly kill the suitors but best believe there would be many “accidents”. and family and friends would remain untouched….physically. again she would create a situation where the people around her darling would become so miserable while her darling would become more and more comfortable. she’d plant seeds of resentment within their circle until her darling would feel like the only place they belonged was with her.
