Hii!! I love your imagines! <3 could i please request a part two for the first date w matt fic? Maybe how their relationship grows or him asking her to be his gf after a while?
Hey Google, Play 'Begin Again' (Part 2) Matt Sturniolo x Reader Two Part Series
Summary: After your first date with Matt, your relationship begins to grow
Word Count: 1279 words
Hey Google, Play 'Begin Again' (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Matt was not like other guys that you had dated. He didn’t leave you on read, he didn’t run hot and cold and when he said he was going to call you, he did.
He had texted you every day since your first date about things that might have seemed insignificant but, it was the exact kind of shit your ex never did. He didn’t text to ask you how your day was, he didn’t leave a voice note when something funny happened, he didn’t Facetime when he was doing the laundry just to see how you were… he never did laundry.
Matt was different. A good kind of different. You were worried that a few weeks would pass and his true colors would start to show. Maybe he was only in it for one thing, maybe he was hot-tempered, maybe he was just a pig disguised as an angel. But, Matt was who he was. He was kind, he was thoughtful and he really seemed to like you. He certainly liked you enough to call your friend Taylor and thank her for lining up the date.
As you sat in your car waiting for the rain to stop so you could run into your building, Matt’s name popped up on your phone. You hated the cheesy grin that spread across your face and the giddiness you couldn’t quite control.
“Hey Matt,” you half sang, half spoke in the register of a pre-pubescent teenage boy. You cleared your throat and tried your very best to sound casual, “What’s up?”
“Y/n,” he replied, “how are you?”
“I’m good,” was all you could come up with as you slapped your palm to your forehead. You didn't even ask how he was in return!
“Awesome. I was actually wondering if you want to link up on the weekend?” he asked.
Your heart sank. “I’m actually moving on Saturday, my lease is up,” you replied.
“You’re moving?” he asked, “I’m free Saturday, I could come help or whatever.”
You could not hide your smile and put yourself on mute just to let out an excited squeal. You were definitely going to call Taylor after this. “That would be awesome… Only if you’re free or whatever,” you replied.
“Yeah, text me the address and the time and I’ll be there,” he said.
As you waited for Matt on that Saturday morning, you kept tugging at your hair in the mirror; it just wasn’t laying right. You had changed your outfit three or four times and began pacing the hallway.
His knock at the door made you jump. He was early, again. As you led him into the kitchen, he handed you one of the two drinks in his hand. “An iced coffee. If I remember correctly, that was your order,” he said.
You were shocked he remembered when you replied, “Thank you so much. You didn't have to.”
With his hands on his hips as if he was ready to unassemble furniture, he asked, “So, where can I start?”
You took a sip of the drink and said, “The removalists are going to take the furniture, we just need to pack up the kitchen.”
With a nod, he began assembling boxes to pack the plates and utensils in. This was it, what your friend Taylor always told you. If a man wanted to, he would.
It was nice spending the afternoon again just the two of you. Though you spoke a lot, you hadn’t seen him since your coffee date almost two months prior. He caught you up on the tour he went on with his brothers and his most recent trip back home. You told him about when your parents came to town and how you might be getting a promotion at work.
There was something about the way that Matt listened so attentively and how he never spoke over you when you talked. If you ever met his mother, you had a lot to thank her for.
If forever did exist, you were kind of hoping it would be with him. He quickly became the only person that you wanted to talk to and, simultaneously, the only person you ever talked about. You were down bad but, for the first time, you weren’t worried about that.
As you were picking up the final box to take to your car before you left, he pulled a stuffed teddy bear out of it.
“Oh my god, that’s so embarrassing,” you said. “Why?” he asked, confused.
You took it from him and stuffed it back in the box, “I’ve had that thing since I was kid… I can’t sleep without it.”
He placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder and gave it a squeeze, “I’m not gonna judge you. I sleep with a pug stuffed animal.”
For a split second, you saw 10 years in the future, the both of you tucking your kids into bed with their stuffed animals. Two kids at the kitchen counter embarrassed by how in love you both were. You never let yourself think like that with any of your exes. It seemed like a fragile and unfeasible dream with them.
Before you left the apartment, Matt asked, “Do you want a picture?”
You did. You hadn’t even thought of that, all you had been thinking about was Matt. But, this was your first apartment. The first place you lived in LA. The first place where you paid the bills. The first place you got to decorate to make it feel like home. This little apartment had been good to you and you wanted to capture the sentiment.
Matt took his role as photographer extremely seriously and was directing you on where to stand and how to pose. He was encouraging you from behind the camera and he even got a laugh out of you.
On the drive to your new apartment he was sitting in your passenger seat and scrolling through the pictures he’d taken, pointing out his favortie ones. You were glad you were driving because you hated looking at pictures of yourself but, he might have just been able to convince you that you looked pretty in a few.
As you sat on the floor of your new apartment with pizza crusts on paper plates, you didn’t want him to leave. Maybe it was exhaustion or delusion but, you wished it was the both of you moving into this apartment.
You hated this part. The part where you don’t know where this is going. The part where there are no labels yet. The part where it’s too soon to tell him that he’s all you think about. The part where you just have to wait.
You were always the one to fall first. You were always the one love harder. You were always the one who’s effort was wasted. You didn’t want to risk it this time but, you couldn’t help but think that Matt was totally fucking worth it.
As he got up to leave, he helped you clean up the scraps and offered to take the recycling downstairs. He was so fucking boyfriend in that moment that you just wanted to skip to the good part.
Instead, you walked him to the door and thanked him for all of his help. “I’m sure I’d have fun doing absolutely nothing with you,” he said with a smile.
Without thinking, you reached up and pressed your lips against his, pulling away and feeling weight of the silence between you.
You thought this was it. This is how you ruin your perfect fairytale. This is the part where he rushes home and tells his brothers about the psycho bitch who misread the signs.
Instead, he dropped the pizza box and cupped your face in his hands and he kissed you. And, for the first time, it didn’t feel like falling in love. It felt like walking into a house and feeling right at home.

Hi from australia!!! Omg i love your writing so much. I'm about to graduate and am thinking to moving interstate to study (not very common here) and am so nervous about leaving my friends and family and though maybe you could write something about that? Like the triplets have a friend who leaves? Whatever you come up with will be amazing <3
Childhood Friends Sturniolo Triplets x Reader One Shot
Summary: You're friends with the Triplets and are moving away after graduation.
Word Count: 1040 words
Tumblr media
Since you were young, you always dreamed of growing up and leaving Boston. The triplets were heading to LA, your friend Lexy was moving to London with her boyfriend and you were moving alone to New York.
Suddenly you’re standing at a going away party being held just for you. Your family, your childhood friends, and everyone who raised you is gathered to say farewell.
It is a bizarre thing to look at a place that has gifted you so many wonderful memories and so many wonderful people and still feel the pull to leave it behind. It’s strange knowing that this place will never be the same again, that time will take its toll, and that life here in Boston will inevitably go on without you.
As you hang out by the charcuterie board thanking everyone for coming, thanking them for the impact they had on your life and the love that they had shown you, you were doing your best to avoid the hardest goodbyes.
Since the first day of elementary school, you had been tied at the hip of your best friend Lexy and the Triplets. Most of your childhood was stored in suppressed memories that could only be unlocked by the smell of rain on the sidewalk and cookies in the oven, the texture of your old bedroom carpet, and the scar atop Matt’s eyebrow.
As the crowds began to leave and your parents began to pack up, you made your way over to the treehouse that you and Lexy had countless sleepovers in as kids. As you climbed up the ladder, you wondered if it was built for five 18-year-olds. You figured, if it fell, you’d have one final memory to reminisce on when you see them all again.
As you all sat on the carpet covered in spiderwebs and leaves, it fell heavy on your heart knowing that this was the last time you were all living in the same place. You wouldn’t ever live across the street from your best friend Lexy again. You’d never sneak out of your parent's house and walk the streets with Nick talking about nothing and everything. You’d never sit in your old room playing video games until the early hours with Matt. You’d never spend another night in that bed wondering if Chris ever did like you back.
“This is so weird,” Nick said breaking the silence.
“I can’t believe we’re all leaving,” Chris added.
“We all have to stay in touch,” Matt insisted.
“Definitely,” Lexy replied.
“When do you have to leave?” Chris asked with a sigh. You looked at your watch. You should have been on the road by now.
“I should probably get going,” you said as you stood up, helping Lexy to her feet.
“You can’t stay one more night?” she asked with a quiver in her voice. You just shook your head and pulled her into a hug. “I’m gonna miss you so much, Lex,” you said trying to keep your composure. “Thank you for being my friend,” you choked out.
Lexy was your person. She was your voice of reason, your biggest fan, she got you through high school. She was taking the best parts of you with her to London and you had no idea what you were going to do without her.
You pulled away and wiped your eyes, turning to Matt who was biting his bottom lip. “Thank you for being someone I can always rely on,” you said. He let out a whimper as he pulled you into a hug. “I love you,” he responded. “I love you too.”
You and Matt both had your own struggles in school and it made it easier having someone who understood what you were going through. Most of the time you and Matt said nothing at all but, having him there was all that you needed. You weren't quite sure who you were going to turn to when your headspace got dark again. You were going to miss him.
Nick jumped to his feet and pulled you into his chest, “I love you so much, Y/n.” “I love you too,” you replied. You and Nick had already said everything that you wanted to say and you hoped that you'd never fall out of touch.
When you turned to Chris he had tears welling in his eyes. He reached out and took your hands in his. “I don’t know what to say,” he said as he forced a smile. “We don’t have to say anything,” you replied. He waited a moment before he said, “You suck a lot less than most people,” he said with a laugh. He wrapped his arms around you and for a moment you thought about staying and telling him how you felt. But you knew you’d regret it if you did. You knew that you had to leave.
After you packed your final bags and loaded the car there wasn’t much left to do. You hugged your parents goodbye on the same front porch that you’d all played on when you were kids. You pulled out of the driveway that you once pulled out of for the very first time as your parents gathered every ounce of bravery they had as they watched you leave.
This driveway, this house, this little neighborhood outside of Boston will never be quite the same again. Now, your childhood home becomes your parent's house that you visit every now and then. Your best friends become childhood friends that you see when you're back for the holidays. Your hometown becomes far more sentimental but, a little less familiar. It’s not that you thought the world revolved around you but, it’s a nasty shock to know that it will keep spinning without you there.
As you drive down the interstate reality starts to set in. You realize that you’ll meet new friends who will one day feel like old friends with memories and stories to share about a younger version of yourself that you still haven’t met yet. But, no matter how much time passes and how many memories are made, they will never quite feel like your childhood friends. There is something about these people that you just can’t replace.

Wow. I love the angst and I love your writing sm. Can you write something super nostalgic about the reader thinking back on her relationship with Matt after they broke up? Only if you have time and I know you have a lot of breakup/angsty fics but I love them!!
5 Years Matt Sturniolo x Reader One Shot
Summary: You reminisce on your previous relationship with Matt.
Word Count: 698 words
Tumblr media
“So… where are you from?” you ask to fill the awkward silence of waiting in line. “Massachusetts,” the girl replied.
Whenever someone mentions that they’re from Massachusetts you always ask what part. A piece of you hopes that they’ll say they’re from Sommerville so that you can tell them about Matt.
“My ex was from Sommerville,” you replied. She nodded politely probably wishing she had a pair of headphones. You don't know what possessed you to continue the conversation but, here you were.
You met Matt when you first moved to LA at a party of a friend of a friend. You weren’t looking for love but, at some point he smiled at you and that was it. By the end of that July a little red heart replaced his name on your phone and you haven’t had the nerve to change it back yet.
“Why’d you break up?” she asked when she felt your eyes burning a hole through a spot on the ground.
The truth was that you went from being friends to lovers; from “come over” to “come home.” You spent 5 summers dreaming of 80 summers more. But, somewhere in the midst of that final winter, you lost your way back to each other. That spring was the last time he pulled into your driveway to pick up the last box of his things. When his taillights disappeared down your street you realized your little love story wasn’t meant to have a happy ending.
“I think we just grew apart,” you replied. You regretted starting the conversation.
“How long were the two of you together?” she asked as you both shuffled forward in the queue. “Five years” you responded quietly.
For 5 years he wrote you into all of his stories - past, present, and future. For 5 years, no matter where he was, his mind always wandered to you. In the 5 years that you were together, you never thought that you’d see the day that it would come to an end. But, after 5 years you couldn’t seem to find your way back to Matt.
“That’s a long time” she acknowledged, “it must be hard to be reminded of him.”
On the contrary, a beautiful sentiment lands with you whenever you think about Matt - he will always be young in your memory. When you remember him, he is a 20-something-year-old with all the potential in the world. He is happy living in LA with his brothers. Trevor is still waiting for him at home. He had adoring fans all across the world. And, you both still have more time together.
This version of Matt, the only one you’ll ever know, has fluffy hair and a fake Southern accent. He has too much Mattitude and he's still a picky eater. He wears lame phrases on t-shirts and sleeps with his stuffed animals… And he loves you.
“Next,” the server calls as you make your way to the glass cabinet pointing at the last vanilla cupcake they have left.
As you make your way home, it’s on nights like this that you pay a visit to his memory. Was he still struggling with anxiety? Were his brothers safe and happy? Did his parents take the trip to Costa Rica they were planning? Would his Grandma still remember you? Does he still sleep with the pug? Does he tell strangers about you in line at the coffee shop?
Maybe these are all the things you'll never know. All the sentences left unwritten in your story. But, every year you light a candle on his birthday and whisper a prayer for him. He’d never know after all this time that you still pray for his safety, his future, his everything even if that isn’t you anymore.

Looking At The Moon Matt Sturniolo x Reader One Shot
Summary: You realize that it's been Matt all along.
Word Count: 971 words
Tumblr media
“Did you ever think you’d end up with Vinny?” Matt asked. The question caught you off guard.
You had spent the day back home in Boston celebrating Nate’s birthday. It was the first time that you had all been back together properly since the triplets moved to LA. It wasn’t quite the same as it was before they left but, you were glad to seem them all again.
As you lay on the floor of Nate’s lounge room, your friends were packed in beside you like sardines. It was 3am and you and Matt were the last two people awake. It felt like the old days.
“Sorry,” he said when you hadn’t answered after a while.
“I always thought I’d meet my soulmate in school and we’d fall madly in love and that’d be it. Just like my parents. You know, high school sweethearts and all that. Even though we dated for 4 years, I’m not sure that I ever really thought that it’d be Vinny” you explained.
Matt nodded his head slowly. Did you ever think it could be me?
“What about you?” you asked, “Do you think you’ve met your soulmate?”
Matt stared at the ceiling, “I hope so,” he replied, “I don’t know, I always hoped that one day I’d look at an old friend and think, ‘It’s been you all long’.”
You were intrigued as you propped yourself up on one elbow, turning yourself to face him. Chris had fallen asleep between you both and you squinted your eyes in the dark to make sure he was still asleep.
“Do you think you met her in LA?” you asked. You wanted to catch up on the gossip that you’d missed out on since they left.
“No,” he replied quicker than a horse out the gate. It’s you. It’s always been you.
You racked your brain trying to think of one girl that Matt had ever shown any interest in. His date to the middle school dance? One of the friends y’all lost touch with? Was there someone at Star Market you didn’t know? It was probably one of Justin’s friends - this kid’s delusional.
As Chris stirred in his sleep between you both, you sucked in a sharp breath in an attempt not to wake him. After some time had passed, Matt got up and gestured for you to follow.
You crept up the stairs behind him to Nate’s bedroom and climbed through the window onto the roof. It had been years since you had come up here - you could see the whole neighbourhood from this spot. Matt wrapped a blanket around your shoulders as you sat on the freezing cold tiles. You had missed doing shit like this with him. You had missed him.
You remembered sitting at the window with him at daycare as he waited for him Mom every afternoon. When your Dad took the training wheels off your bike a little too early, he was the one who kissed the scrape on your knee to make it better.
When you had free time in the first grade, he would let you share his pencils or read books with you on the beanbag in Mr Wilson’s reading corner. Every day at lunch he’d trade half his sandwich with you even if you both had peanut butter and jelly.
He was always there. He always listened, he celebrated your achievements and supported you through the tough times. If there was one thing you knew for certain it was that as long as Matt was around you’d never be alone.
“Isn’t it crazy how much has changed in the last two years?” you asked as you looked out to the dimly lit street.
“I don’t think all that much has changed. Not anything that matters anyway,” he replied.
Matt had a habit of talking in riddles sometimes. You never really quite knew what was going on in his head.
“Fair enough,” you replied. “Do you ever wish that you didn’t leave Boston?” you asked.
He took a moment. You could see the thoughts racing in his head as he fidgeted with the cuff of his sleeve. “I think that the people make the place,” he replied.
“Do you wish you never left you family?” you asked.
“Yeah… And, Nate…” he answered. And you. I wish I never had to leave you.
You took in a deep breath and laid your head on his shoulder. “I always thought growing up would be so much fun,” you said.
“It’s not fun?” he asked. “It’s not easy,” you replied as you both sat in silence, looking up at the moon.
After a while you looked at him and said, “promise you’ll remember me when you’re looking up at the moon in LA.”
I’m gonna wish that you were there with me. “I promise,” he said as he wrapped an arm around you. “Promise me you’ll send me pictures of whatever reminds you of me,” he asked and you pinky swore that you would.
When he went back to LA, he sent you snapchats every night of the moon from their balcony. You sent him pictures from the scrapbooks your Mom had made for you when you were younger.
There was a photo of the two of you from the first day of high school and beside it your Mom had written, “I hope one day you see what has always been right in front of you.”
You went back and forth for weeks on end not knowing if you should send it to Matt or not but, you inevitably decided against it. Instead, you took a pen to the page next to your Mom’s note and wrote, “Perhaps I’m realising a little too late that it was you all along.”

The Big Day Chris Sturniolo x Reader One Shot
Summary: Heartbreak on your wedding day.
Word Count: 1375 words
Tumblr media
Chris was sitting in the back of his parent's minivan that you had both spent countless nights in when you were teens. As they drove down the streets painted with memories of your younger years, his heart began to race.
“How are you feeling?” Nick asked from beside him.
Chris ignored the question and instead responded with, “Will you fix your fucking tie?”
MaryLou caught his eye in the rearview mirror and offered a gentle smile. You’re going to be fine, sweetheart, is what she wanted to say but, she refrained. Today was a big day and she knew that Chris wasn’t good at times like this.
As they pulled into the church parking lot, it was filled with faces from their past and strangers that somehow made the invite list. Surely half of these people were friends of your parents that not even you recall meeting over the years.
As Chris got out of the car, your younger brother ran over and pulled him into a hug. He was so much taller than Chris now. His voice had dropped an octave and Chris’ heart lurched as he recalled the 5 year old that would run down the driveway to greet him when he came over to your house.
Chris kissed your Mom on the cheek, shook your Dad’s hand, and gestured an awkward wave to people as he made his way inside. Matt and Nick followed closely offering silent apologies to people they didn’t even know. Surely your Mom had shown them pictures of you both when he was a scrawny teen and your hair platinum blonde.
Chris often thought back to the early days of your relationship and the promises that you made to one another. He always knew that he was going to marry you, there wasn’t anyone else in this world for him. He met you on the playmat at daycare when you were both 4 years old and he has been fighting his whole life for you.
Your parents laughed about the two of you growing up and falling in love. He would bring you flowers in elementary school, write your Valentine's Day cards in middle school, and finally worked up the courage to ask you out in sophomore year. It was like a love story that was always destined to be.
As he stood in the church beside his brothers, his palms began to sweat. Like the time he walked up to your front door to pick you up for your very first date or on prom night when he waited to see you in your dress for the first time. There were so many times that he waited for you with sweaty palms and shaky hands. There were so many times that you took his breath away.
He could hear the crowds filing into the church pews that were behind him. He kept his eyes fixed on the ground between his feet and clasped his hands together to stop them from shaking.
Matt placed a reassuring hand on his back as he whispered, “You got this.”
Chris forced a smiled as the organ began to play. It felt like the blood drained from his body when he heard the church doors open. Gasps and exclamations of how beautiful you looked set butterflies swarming in his stomach.
His legs felt like they were going to give way and he did his best to stop himself swaying from side to side. Matt wrapped an arm around Chris’ shoulders to steady him as best he could. He knew this was a big day for his brother.
One by one Chris saw your bridesmaids take their place by the altar. They were all in blush satin dresses like you had always dreamt they’d be. When you were 16, talking about the kind of wedding you wanted, Chris would have never been able to imagine the picturesque fairytale unfolding before him. There was, however, one thing he knew for certain - he would have given you whatever you wanted.
As you walked down the aisle side by side with your Dad, the wedding march sounded more like a funeral procession. He locked eyes with your Mom as you passed by his pew and made your way to your soon-to-be husband.
It wasn’t until this moment that it sunk in for him that he had missed his shot. From the day that he met you, you became the main character in his story and even after you broke up, he always hoped you’d find your way back.
Even when he got the wedding invite in the post - the one he always thought would be from Christopher Sturniolo & Y/n - he pictured you calling it off and coming back to him. He pictured a phone call from his Mom saying y/n and that boy broke up. He pictured himself standing up when the preacher said speak now or forever hold your peace and professing his love for you.
As he sat in the audience watching a beautiful nightmare unfold before him, he knew that he had missed his chance. You were marrying this guy that he hadn’t even bothered to learn the name of and, even if he did profess his undying love for you, he wasn’t sure that you still felt the same way.
As the ceremony came to an end and the crowds followed you out, Chris stayed in his seat for a while. Matt and Nick made their way back in to find him - their hearts broke for their brother.
Out of everyone, they knew all too well how difficult today was for Chris. They knew that, for him, you were it. They knew how heartbroken he was when you left. He had mourned, for years, a future that never got to unfold.
In the bittersweet daydreams of ‘what ifs’ and ‘could haves’, Chris would take you by the hand and run back through time to when you first met. If he had his time over, he would do things differently and you would be taking his last name today.
Instead, he wiped the tears from his face and parted with his brothers. He made his way to the dimly lit daycare room at the back of the church. It was a little smaller than he remembered but, nothing much had changed.
The timeout chair that Nick spent every afternoon on was still facing the back wall. The stuffed animal that Matt would suffocate when he cried each time his Mom left still sat atop the bookshelf. The tables were still arranged in groups of four. The height chart was still stuck on the back of the door. If he closed his eyes, he could pretend that you were both hiding in the play tent or holding hands as you sat on the mat.
He heard the creak of the door open behind him. As he turned around he spat out, “I’m coming.”
It wasn't his parents or his brothers standing behind him as he had expected it to be. It was you. There you were.
For a split second, he was standing across from you at the altar preparing to say 'I do' before reality slapped him in the face and brought him back.
With a smile, you said, “I’m so glad you decided to come.”
I really didn't want to. “Me too”, he lied.
“I just wanted to say thank you," you began as his eyes met yours, "I am who I am because you loved me when I couldn't love myself. I always thought that we'd end up together but, I guess we were made for other people.”
His heart shattered as tears formed in his eyes. I only exist for you.
"But, I will never regret you or us. You are so special to me and even though we grew apart, you were the best part of my younger years. So, thank you, Christopher Owen Sturniolo. I think I'll always love you," you said as a tear slipped from your eye.
He was unprepared for this conversation. He has so much to say but, none of it felt right.
"Thank you," he said, "I am so happy that you found the love that you deserve."
You took in a deep breath as you walked over and pulled him into a hug. His arms wrapped around you. You held onto each other a little too long for ‘just friends’ and a little too tight for ‘strangers’.
He patted your back as he pulled away. "I think your husband might be waiting for you," he said.
"Right", you replied as you wiped the tears from your eyes. As you headed to the door, you spun back toward him, "How do I look?"
His breath caught in his throat, "You look beautiful," he whispered, "he's a lucky guy."
You held his gaze a second longer before you slipped out the door and down the hall. Someone always has to be the first to leave and you never thought it would be you.
Chris pulled out one of the toddler chairs, sat down, and dropped his head in his hands. Nick and Matt had been waiting for him in the hallway and rushed in after you left.
As Matt knelt down in front of Chris, for the first time in their lives he didn't know what to say to make his brother feel better. He wanted to take the heartbreak from his brother but, he couldn't. Chris looked up, tears rolling down his cheeks.
"I'm sorry," was all Matt could come up with, "I know how much you love her." Love not loved because he knew that Chris was scared that he would always love you and that he would search for you in every person that he met.
Matt and Nick helped Chris to his feet and pulled him into a hug. Sometimes there are no words that you can say to fix a broken heart.

hiii, just wondering if you got my request about Matt reuniting with his gf at the airport? No rush, I’m planning on switching accounts and will be deleting the one I requested that on and I really hope it doesn’t delete from your requests 😬
Sure did! It came through as anon so should be fine but, in case it does get deleted, I've saved it in my notes :)

okay so this could be the weirdst requeust ever but i went to a wedding on the weekend and it got me thinking like what if you wrote a father of the bride speech from Jimmy to his daughter? like a need a really good cry so, go as hard as you can ahhahaahaa ! I love your writing so so much (i see people say that all the time) but thought this could be different than just a story. you don't have ot though, up to you xox
Father of the Bride Speech Sturniolo Triplets x Sister One Shot
Summary: The speech I think Jimmy would give if he had a daughter.
Word Count: 800 words
Author's Note: Such a cool request - thank you! I don't know if this is what you were looking for but, it was certainly fun (and sad) to write x
Tumblr media
Jimmy had spent the whole wedding dinner outside practicing his speech. As he stood in front of a room full of friends old and new, he felt overwhelmed by the love that they all shared for his daughter.
He gripped onto the podium to stop his hands from shaking and took a deep breath.
"When MaryLou and I found out that we were having a girl, I panicked. I panicked because I grew up in a house with just boys and I didn’t know how to raise a little girl. Hell, I barely knew how to talk to girls before I met my wife.
When I pictured my future as a father, I saw Justin, Nick, Matt, and Chris. I pictured boys. Maybe not triplets but, I pictured boys. I pictured taking my boys golfing. Taking my boys fishing. Watching the game on Sundays. That’s all I knew. I didn’t know anything about what it meant to raise a girl.
Now, if you know anything about my boys, you know that they don’t love golfing. You know it’s a task to get them out fishing. They were never home on Sundays to watch the game with me. But, my girl was."
Jimmy pulled the handkerchief from his pocket and dabbed away the tears that were rolling down his cheeks before he continued, even as his voice shook.
"I spent 9 months panicking about bringing a little girl into the world but, from the second the nurses handed me my baby wrapped in her little pink blanket, I spent the next 27 years dreading the day that I had to give her away.
Because let me tell you what it means to be a girl dad. Being a girl dad means you fall in love all over again. Being a girl dad means you get to slay dragons to save the princess. Being a girl dad means you get to squeeze into pretty dresses and get your makeup done. It means you have a ballerina, a soccer player, a debater, a painter, a pianist, a boxer, a black belt, a cheerleader, a skateboarder, a dirt bike rider, a basketball captain, a golfer, a fishing buddy, a best friend and so much more.
But, being a girl Dad also means that one day you put her down and you don’t pick her up again. You start dropping her off around the corner from the school gate. She gets her license and you spend countless nights hoping that she gets home safe. She dates some loser in freshman year that breaks her heart and there isn’t enough you can do about it.
Being a girl dad means that your heart resides outside of your body. It means that one day you’ll drop her off at college in another state and cry the whole plane ride home. It means that one day some boy she met at a dive bar in Cancun will come knocking on your door and ask you for her hand in marriage. One day, you have the most important decision to make. Is this boy good enough for my daughter?
I realized when Jack was sitting at my kitchen counter that it wasn’t my decision to make. She will always be my baby but, she isn’t my property. And no matter how much I wish she was still that same little girl who couldn’t cross the road without holding my hand, I know that I have raised a strong-willed, independent, loving, kind, intelligent, beautiful, won’t-take-shit-from-anybody kinda girl."
Jimmy turned to face the bride and groom with tears in his eyes and spoke directly to his son-in-law.
"So, to you, Jack. Man to man. I am so glad that it’s you. I’m so glad that she chose you. I know that you love my daughter, I see it every single time you look at her. There is nothing I can say, no gift I can give to thank you for making my daughter as happy as you do. All I hope for you, Jack, is that when the time comes for you to become a father, you too are blessed with a daughter just like mine and then you’ll understand just how lucky you are."
His voice broke as he stepped away from the mic to compose himself before he continued.
"And to my baby… By some cosmic stroke of luck in this lifetime, I got the greatest gift of all in being your Dad. I am so proud to be your father, you have been such a gift to me, you bring so much joy into my life and I love you so much more than you could ever imagine. So, thank you, sweetheart, for being everything that I never knew I always needed in my life."
Jimmy raised a glass to the newlyweds as he finished his speech.
"And to you both, I wish you a lifetime of happiness. I cannot wait to bear witness to the life that you build together and know that Mom and I will be here to love, cherish, and support you on the wonderful journey that lies ahead."
As the crowd erupted in applause, Jimmy crossed the room to the newlyweds. He pulled Jack into a hug and said, "Take care of our girl, son."
He then pulled his daughter into a hug, placing a kiss on her head, unable to find the words he wanted to say. She pulled away, looked up at him, and said, "You will always be my hero, Dad, and there is nothing I am more thankful for than for being your daughter."

Hi hello! Omg I luv ur writing so much especially what you write for Matt (matt girl over here :P). I was wondering if you could write something where Matt and the reader have feeling for each other but are sure if the other feels the same and then they get drunk (or not) and confess their feelings? SOmething like that? Thank you very very much!!
You Do Love Me, Right? Matt Sturniolo x Reader One Shot
Summary: You have chemistry with Matt but, you need to know how he feels.
Word Count: 1202 words
Tumblr media
As you walked into the party with all your friends, there were people everywhere. You grabbed your besties hand so that you wouldn’t be separated by the crowd. The house was tucked away in the Hollywood Hills and you weren’t exactly sure where you were. You certainly didn’t feel like you belonged there.
You felt like you could finally breathe when you made it to the backyard, away from the sweaty people dancing and blaring music. You could see all the lights of Los Angeles way out past the infinity pool. You were certain you didn’t belong here.
“Y/n!” you heard someone scream over the music and excited chatter. As you scanned the crowd on the back lawn, you saw Matt making his way toward you, followed closely by Nick and Chris.
“Y/n!” he called again, from a couple of feet away as he jogged over and pulled you into a hug. “I’m so glad you could make it,” he said as he stepped aside to let Nick and Chris in.
Matt was the main reason that you came to this party. You weren’t just friends, you weren’t dating, you were floating in the abyss somewhere inbetween. You could’t count the number of conversations that you had with just your eyes across rooms at parties just like this one. You were embarrassed at the number of times that you cancelled plans with your friends just so that you could see him. He had such a hold on you so much so that even the mention of his name made you dizzy.
That wasn’t friendship right? Your friends didn’t call you up at all hours of the night just to ask you how you were. You didn’t fall asleep on FaceTime with your friends talking about Pokemon and all the ways that you related to Eeyore. Your friends didn’t leave their phone or keys on your countertop to have an excuse to come back after they left. You never felt like you had to hide your chemistry with your friends and the gentle touch of a hand didn’t make you want to die.
“What are you y’all doing?” Chris asked from the other side of the firepit.
Matt was sitting beside you, his hands in his lap, a little too close for comfort. “What?” he asked, confused before he realized the room on the bench to his left. He locked eyes with you and slid over to make some more room for you and your friends.
“God, why don’t you sit on her fucking lap, dude?” Chris joked, followed by a smirk.
He always did that. You were both like magnets, drawn together. He always sat or stood a little too close. He always found moments to graze your arm or grab your hand in passing. It sent electricity pulsing through your body but, it was usually subtle enough for others not to notice.
A couple of songs later, you went with your friends to go and grab a drink from inside. Your friends cornered you and asked what was happening with Matt but, you just shrugged your shoulders and laughed it off.
To be quite honest you weren't sure what you were. You liked him and you could have sworn he liked you too. You loved him but, you weren’t sure if he loved you back.
You spent the rest of the night bumping into people you half knew and meeting others you had seen online. You knew people who would kill for an invite to this party but, this was just not your scene. If Matt wasn’t here you would have made up an excuse as to why you couldn’t go out tonight.
As you slipped away from your friends and snuck upstairs, you locked yourself in a half-bath in the hallway. You touched up your makeup in the mirror and sat on the marble vanity to catch your breath. You could have spent all night in here with him, hiding from everyone else and doing nothing.
That was the thing about Matt. You didn’t need to be doing anything at all to have fun. You liked his company. Nick and Chris thought that his stories were slow and unentertaining but, you could have listened to him talk all night.
As you scrolled through your phone you realised just how many memories you had with Matt. The picture of him asleep on your lap on the plane from LA to Boston. The picture you took of him from the passenger seat when you went for a drive to Malibu. There was the picture you took with a couple of fans that you met when you were out in Denver. There was the picture you took of him and the bouquet of flowers he got you for your birthday.
You didn’t know if it was the White Claw or if you were misreading the signs but, you could have convinced yourself that you and Matt had feelings for each other. Drunk at a party wasn’t exactly how you wanted to tell him how you felt. Fuck it. What did you have to lose?
You pulled your phone out of your pocket and texted Matt, “Where are you?”. “By the pool” he replied.
“You wanna get out of here?” he sent. “Meet you out front,” you sent back.
As he headed toward the front door he saw you coming down the stairs. He took your hand in his as you both raced through the yard and up the street toward his car. You had no idea how Nick and Chris were going to get home but, at this point, you didn’t care.
As you drove down Santa Monica Boulevard toward the beach, your stomach was turning. Were you really going to do this? Were you really going to risk it all? Did he even feel the same way? Were you sure of that? Your head began to spin and you weren’t sure if it was nerves of that fucking White Claw.
As he pulled into the parking lot, you saw the moon reflect off the ocean. Now was as good a time as any to tell him how you felt. At least if he didn’t feel the same there was enough alcohol in your system to shield the blow to your ego. Before you worked up the nerve, he turned his whole body to face you.
“I keep telling myself that I might be crazy and that this might be nothing at all,” he started, “But, Y/n, when I’m with you… There’s something here, right?”
You nodded slowly.
“Ok, because we’ve been laughing it off for a while and I wasn’t sure but, you do love me, right?” he paused.
You nodded again. “You love me?” he asked.
“I love you, Matt,” you said as your lips crashed with his. Your face was in his hands and you climbed onto his lap.
After what felt like forever, you pulled away, his thumbs caressing your cheeks. His gaze penetrated your soul as he said the words you had always wanted to hear from his lips and his lips only.
“God, I fucking love you, Y/n,” he said.

Hi Jaz!! I was wonder if you could write something where the reader and triplets and nate had been friends maybe they have another friend as well that's a girl and the three become super close when the triplets move and they go some time without speaking? And then the reader reunites with the triplets and realises that she was angry at them for no real reason and they become close again? Idk if that makes sense but, you can really write whatever! I love your writing!!
I've Really Missed You Sturniolo Triplets x Reader One Shot
Summary: Just a story about the seasons of friendship.
Words: 1206 words
Tumblr media
The six of you had always been friends since you met on the play mat at daycare. Since the triplets left for LA you, Nate, and Lexi had become inseparable.
You had never pictured yourself leaving the east coast. When the triplets spoke about their dream of moving to LA and Nate spoke of playing sport at some Ivy League school interstate, you pictured yourself staying right here in Boston. When you started looking at colleges, your parents took you to visit their alma mater’s but, those schools never appealed to you. You wanted to stay close to your parents, you wanted to be there to see your little brothers grow up and you wanted to enjoy time with your grandparents before age took it’s toll.
Turns out, after applying to almost every half-decent school in the country, Nate and Lexi decided to stay home in Boston too. You had promised each other on a late-night drive back home from a weekend in New Hampshire that, no matter what, you’d always stay together.
In middle school, you never thought that it’d be just the three of you after graduation. The thought of not having the triplets around seemed unimaginable when you were 12 years old but, time proved you wrong in the end.
When they first left, it felt a lot like a breakup. You, Nate, and Lexi drove around to all the places you’d hang out like lost puppies looking for a home. You realized that you would never be completely at home again because three pieces of your heart would always be somewhere else.
When you started college, you found yourself leaving them out of the stories you told of growing up. It hurt too much to talk about them in past tense.
In that first year of college, you and Lexi shared a dorm. It was like one long sleepover that your parents would have never allowed. You stayed up every night talking about cute boys in your classes and cute outfits that girls wore that you swore you could never pull off. Nate’s roommate drove him up the walls and he ended up spending most nights sleeping on the floor between you both.
It felt strangely like betrayal making new memories and new friends without the triplets. Like getting a new puppy after your childhood dog passed away.
On the weekends, you three would pack up the car and drive to the beach or the mountains. You started taking your friends from interstate to all of the places you went when you were young. You showed them your high school, your childhood homes and the parking lot you’d sneak out to when you were teenagers.
You took them to the Taco Bell where you had your first job and the ice rink where Nate used to play ice hockey. You snuck them into the theatre where you had your 10th birthday party and took them to your parent's old shack at the Cod. In one year, you had replaced old memories with new ones. Like recording over an old mixtape that an ex-flame left in your car.
As Christmas came around and you packed up your things to go home, Nate mentioned that the triplets had come back to Boston. As you made the short drive from campus back to your old neighborhood, you contemplated if you’d ever go to see them. You hadn’t spoken for months and you didn’t know if things were better left alone.
Sometimes you argued with them in your head and made them feel guilty for leaving you behind. Other times you pictured that you all moved to LA and then blamed them for you missing home. You couldn’t think a single scenario where they got to do what they had always dreamed of and you were ok with it. Maybe that meant that everything happened in the exact way that it should have.
As hard as it was to reconcile, maybe you loved and missed them in equal measure. Maybe it wasn’t the distance or lack of communication pulling you apart that really mattered but, it was the love that would inevitably bring you back together.
As Nate pulled into your driveway before you jumped out to get your things, you asked, “Do y’all want to stay the night?” Nate promised he’d go home and Lexi wanted to see her Dad before he left.
As you truged through the snow up to your front door, Nate made sure you were safe inside before he drove away.
The next morning, you got up early and headed out for a run. That was the only way you knew how to clear your head. It was only a 20-minute jog around the lake once you got to the park and as your music began to blare in your headphones, you escaped into your own little world.
You remembered MaryLou bringing you down to the lake when you were younger so you could feed the ducks. One time, Matt fell in and when she turned back around all she saw was his little hand sticking out of the water.
Two years after that Chris was learning to ride a bike. He was racing down the hill one afternoon and crashed into a pine tree. He had grazes on the side his face for weeks but, he thought it made him look tough.
You and Nick would always trail behind the group, lost in your own little world. You’d dream of fairies dancing in flowerbeds and knights in shining armor that would race to save you from the monsters hidden in the shadows of the willow tree. Times were a lot simpler then.
As you stopped by the gate on the east side lawn, you knelt down to tie your shoe. Your heart stopped when a small dog ran over to you.
“Trevor! Leave that girl alone,” Nick called as his footsteps grew louder.
Before you could get up and continue on your jog, Nick knelt down before you to pick Trevor up. Your eyes locked as you stood at the same time. “Y/n?” he asked in disbelief.
Matt and Chris appeared behind him, the same look on their faces. Matt was first to pull you into a hug, followed by his brothers.
“I didn’t know you were back,” you lied. “Nate didn’t tell you?” Chris asked.
You ignored him and said, “How are you?”
“We have so much to catch up on,” Matt replied.
You felt guilty that for the past 2 years, you left their messages unread and watched the phone ring as they tried to call. The truth was that you missed them. As you all grew older and life took you in different directions, time passed by like a hand waving from a train that you wanted to be on. You didn't want to miss what was happening in their lives anymore. You didn't want them to miss what was happening in yours.
As walked down your street with Trevor pulling at the lead, Nick turned to you and said "I've really missed you, y/n."
You linked an arm through his and rested your head on his shoulder, "I've really missed you, too."

I Miss Them Too Sturniolo Triplets x Older Sister One Shot
Summary: The boys plan a family dinner over FaceTime.
Word Count: 1399 words
Author's Note: Apologies (1) that this took so long and, (2) if this isn't what you were after. I went on a tangent but, I hope it's OK ❤️
Tumblr media
“Honey, come show me how to FaceTime the boys on the iPad” MaryLou called out to her daughter. She was back in Boston for a couple of days but the boys couldn’t make it home so they had planned a family dinner over FaceTime.
Nick had tried to call three or four times and was blowing up the family chat with some choice emojis. As she came into the kitchen, Jimmy and MaryLou were hunched over the iPad trying to figure it out. She pulled out her laptop and called Nick back. “What the fuck is going on?” was the first thing he said when he answered.
Matt, Nick and Chris FaceTimed their sister all the time. She was busy working interstate and couldn’t make it back home as often as she would have liked to. It wasn’t the same since they all moved out but, they tried to make the most of it.
“Get Justin on this thing,” she said as she grabbed her and her parents a glass of water. As they waited, Nick went on a rant about the neighbor that kept calling up with noise complaints. MaryLou tried to play devil’s advocate and Jimmy just rolled his eyes. He missed the chaos when they were gone, they both did.
“I ran into your old lacrosse coach at Target the other day,” she said as MaryLou served up the steak and potatoes she’d made. He had been keeping tabs on the boys YouTube channel since they graduated. His daughters were big fans and he was proud to see them doing something they loved.
“Do you remember when you taught me to drive in that Target parking lot?” Matt asked. They were some of his favorite memories he had with his sister and it made him sad to think that they’d probably never have times like that again.
The boys often spoke about their life back in Boston. They would reminisce on the years that they all lived under the same roof before their sister went off to college and before Justin moved out. It was never quite the same going home anymore.
Nick couldn’t list on one hand the number of good experiences he had at high school, Matt was barely there and Chris was too worried about his brothers to have had the chance to enjoy those moments. They were all focussed on graduating so they could leave for LA and ramp up their YouTube channel. As much as they loved LA, they missed their family a lot.
“You were always a pretty good driver,” she said. “You have to teach me to drive,” Nick begged.
“Absolutely fucking not,” she replied. Chris and Matt burst out laughing. “But, I need to learn” Nick argued. “I wanna live,” she replied, making herself laugh.
Justin joined with, “Are we talking about Nick’s driving again?”
“Hey baby,” MaryLou chimed in. “Hey Ma,” Justin replied taking a bite of his pizza.
“That’s on you, J” their sister said, “I taught Matt, the other two are your problem.”
Justin just laughed and shook his head. He was a man of few words just like his Dad.
“Do you know when I was teaching your sister to drive,” Jimmy stared. “Absoloutely not, Dad” she cut in.
“Oh you were bratty,” MaryLou said cupping her daughter's cheek in her hand. The boys started laughing, and Matt almost choked on his french fry.
“I’ve never heard this story,” Chris said.
“We were driving to Grandma’s house and she pulled into that intersection and almost got side swiped by a guy,” Jimmy continued. “Not true,” she contested.
“You did and then you turned off the car and walked all the way home,” Jimmy finished, rubbing her back comfortingly. She sat pouting as she took a bite of the potato. She knew he just wanted to make the boys laugh. She knew he was always laughing with her and not at her.
“Or the time when you drove the wrong way on that one way street up in New Hampshire?” MaryLou added. “I had been driving for 2 weeks at that point and there were no road signs,” she argued.
“None that you saw,” Justin interjected. “Shut up, Justin,” she said sending daggers through the screen.
“Oh she is gonna kill you,” Nick said. “Watch out,” Chris egged them on.
“Let’s talk about something else,” MaryLou suggested as they all fell silent.
As they ate in silence, her phone lit up with a message from “❤️”. She quickly flipped it over but, she wasn’t quick enough.
“What was that?” MaryLou asked, intrigued. Her daughter was never one to divulge information about who she was dating or even who she was talking to. She had dated some real douchebags in high school and so MaryLou was always a little concerned when she heard that her daughter was seeing someone.
“Nothing,” she replied and tried to change the conversation.
“What’s happening?” Justin asked, smirking. He knew what his Mom was talking about. He was closest to his sister and had met the guy she was seeing when he was last in Chicago. He always protective of her but, the new guy was nice. He had nice friends, he treated his Mom well, he had a great job and, most importantly, he made her happy.
“Move. On,” she said, glaring at Justin through the screen.
“Do you have a boyfriend?” Matt teased. She rolled her eyes with an exasperated sigh.
“You do, you have a boyfriend,” Matt exclaimed. “What?” Chris asked. “Since when?” Nick asked.
“Who is he?” Chris asked, “Do we know him?”
“Of course not,” she spat.
“Do you really, sweetheart?” MaryLou asked. “Why didn’t you tell us?” Jimmy prompted.
“It’s new,” she lied. “6 months new,” Justin said throwing a spanner in the works.
Chris threw his hands in the air, Nick’s jaw dropped. “Why didn’t you tell us?” Matt asked.
“Justin, will you shut up or I will end this shit right now,” she said. She was a little pissed off but, mostly happy that she was forced to tell them otherwise she may have kept him a secret forever.
She wanted to tell her parents first. She knew how much her parents worried about her and how terrible her track record was. After she introduced him to Justin and he seemed to approve, she felt a little better about introducing him to her family.
She muted herself so the boys didn’t hear. “Maybe you can come to Chicago sometime?” she asked.
MaryLou smiled and Jimmy tried to keep his cool. “We would love that. You just let us know when, honey,” MaryLou said.
She hated living so far away. She hated that the distance distanced her from her relationships with her family. When they were all living at home, they were all in each other’s business and she hated to admit how much she loved that.
She hated that she couldn’t curl up with her Mom after a hard day at work. She couldn’t go on midnight trips to get ice cream with her Dad when she had her heart broken. The triplets weren’t around to deliver a pathetic attempt at the “If you ever hurt my sister…” speech. And Justin wasn’t right down the hall when she needed to hear the honest truth.
The honest truth was that she got to 25 and realised that things were just different now. They would never all live in the same house again. They would never wake up under the same roof again on Christmas morning. The silence in her apartment was deafening even with the city traffic down below.
She would never have to carry Matt around the house looking for a bandaid. She would never have to hold Chris’ hand so he didn’t run into traffic. Nick would never say, “Look at this,” as he attempted handstands in the pool. Justin wouldn't ever throw a punch for her again.
After she said goodbye to the boys and helped her parents with the dishes, she headed upstairs to get ready for bed. At the end of the hall, she saw Chris’ door cracked open and went to take a look. As she opened the door she saw Trevor laying at the end of his bed.
“Trev, what are you doing in here?” she asked as she knelt down in front of him and patted his little head. He looked up at her with his puppy dog eyes and her heart sank.
“I miss them too, buddy,” she said as she kissed the top of his head. “I miss them too.”

Hiya my love I love so much your writing and was wondering if you could do something abotu the versus tour maybe Matt or Chris have their gf on tour and bring her on stage and their team mates are big fans of her or something?
Free Throws Chris Sturniolo x Reader One Shot
Summary: Chris brings you out on stage at the Versus tour.
Word Count: 1350 words
Tumblr media
The crew was setting up the basketball hoop as Nick, Matt and Chris introduced their teammates to the crowd. As you stood backstage with Laura, she slyly snapped a picture to show Chris later. You looked so proud of him and she loved the two of you together.
When the hoop was set, Chris took the mic, “I think I might need help with this next one. I have an amazing teammate, I’ve won every single show so far but, I’m gonna bring out someone to shoot these free throws. Is that ok?” The crowd erupted. Some people guessed Chris was bringing you onstage, most people waited in anticipation.
Chris ran off the stage and planted a kiss on your lips before taking your hand and walking back out. The crowd went wild which eased your nerves. You got some hate comments online and even though you told Chris it didn’t bother you, and it usually didn't, sometimes it did.
Chris’ teammate was a huge fan and when she told him how much she loved you, he got the idea to bring you out. He wanted to surprise her but, more than that, he hated being away from you all day.
You welcomed his teammate with open arms and said, “You’re doing a great job, honey”. She was in shock as her hands began to shake. “Are you ok?” you asked as she nodded feverishly.
As Nick explained the rules, you wrapped an arm around her shoulder and Chris stood beside you with his hand on the small of your back. He didn’t usually do this. He wasn’t big on PDA but, the crowd was chill and he seemed less guarded.
Matt was first to go and you could see the concentration on his face. He hadn’t won a show yet and though he laughed it off, you knew it was starting to bother him. He missed the first shot, he missed the second, and before he went for the third you yelled, “You got this, Matt.”
Chris looked at you, shocked. “Absolutely not. You’re team orange,” he joked - that made the crowd laugh. With that, Matt attempted his final shot and scored.
He ran over and gave you a hug. “No fraternising with my team, Matt,” Chris said as he pushed Matt away. Matt just laughed and went back over to his teammate and gave her a high five.
“You’re up, y/n” Nick said with a smile as he handed you the ball. “Just remember that Chris has won twice and Matt and I haven’t won at all so, the ball is literally in your court.”
“You got it, babe,” Chris said as you stepped up to the mark. Your heart began to race, you hadn’t played basketball since high school and the crowd added extra pressure.
As you attempted your first shot, it went in. The crowd went wild and you could hear Chris and his teammate cheering you on in the background.
Your second shot circled the hoop twice but, it went in too and the crowd cheered again. You saw Matt’s eyes roll and Nick did not look impressed - he flashed you one of his fake smiles and you couldn't help but laugh.
As you looked back at Chris, he had his arm around the shoulder of his teammate and they both had their fingers crossed. You couldn’t help but smile. He acted tough but, he wasn’t. You had seen on this tour just how much he cared for everyone who supported him and his brothers. He always said he wanted to make these experiences amazing for the fans and that he wanted nothing else out of it. You knew how much he meant that.
As you bounced the ball praying that you’d go three for three, you turned back to Chris and gave the ball to his teammate. She deserved the glory and you were hoping that you were doing the right thing. You set her up at the mark and gave her the advice to aim for the corner of the rectangle. Then all you could do was stand back and give her space.
You squeezed your eyes shut as Chris wrapped his arms around you and she went to make the shot. The crowd began cheering and when you opened your eyes, Nick was pissed. You knew she scored.
You and Chris ran over and pulled her into a hug. “That was incredible!” Chris said. “You are amazing,” you replied.
“Oh my god,” Nick started as he spoke to the crowd. “I have to win Jenga, guys. I just have to.”
The crowd started laughing as he went on to explain the rules of how they were going to play. Matt walked over with his teammate and whispered in your ear, “She’s a big fan.”
His teammate stepped out from behind Matt as you opened your arms for a hug. As Nick was still talking, Chris offered to take a photo of you both. “I love you so much,” she said. “Honey, thank you, I love you too,” you smiled.
Nick was first to pull a Jenga block followed by Matt and Chris. The game went on for so long that you started to worry you’d be here all night. Chris has pulled up a stool for you - you decided to sit this game out and he refused to let you go backstage.
As they got to the last few possible blocks, you saw the tower begin to sway. As Chris asked the crowd, “Which block do we go for?” he was pointing at different ones and having them cheer to pick. When he went to point at the last option he snagged the tower with his elbow and sent it tumbling down.
Matt jumped into action shielding most of the blocks with his body and putting his hands up to prevent them from hitting Chris’ teammate in the face. Chris stuffed his mic in his back pocket and rushed over, leaning down to look her in the eyes. “I’m so sorry, are you ok? Are you sure?”
“Are you good?” Nick asked. He was cautious but, didn’t want to make a scene. He knew it would be on him to keep the show going.
“I’m fine,” she said with a smile, “nothing hit me.” Chris let out a sigh of relief as he pulled her in a side hug, leaving an arm around her shoulders as he said to the crowd, “She’s fine. Thank God.”
“Are you good, Matt?” Nick asked from across the stage. “I’m fine. I’m good,” he replied.
As they wrapped up the show, you snuck off stage to join Laura and watch from the sidelines. You didn’t go with them on their first tour. You and Chris hadn’t been dating for that long and you had way more negative comments back then. You didn’t know what possessed you to come along this time, you left it until the last minute but, you were glad you decided to come.
As they all came off stage after Nick had been crowned as the winner, you saw the frustration on Chris’ face. He broke his own 2-show streak and he was not happy about it.
“I had to give up the crown, baby,” he said as he pulled you into a hug. “It’s probably for the best. It was getting to your head,” you joked. His jaw dropped.
Nick burst out laughing, teasing Chris about his loss. “Matt’s never won,” Chris replied. Matt raised his hands in defence, “What did I do?”
Nick and Chris lost their shit as you patted Matt on the back. You knew how much it took out of them to travel and do these shows but, it made you happy to see how much they truly enjoyed being on tour. Even though you had to go back to California in a couple of days, you were glad you got to experience this with them.
As you left the venue that night, Chris whispered in your ear, "I'm so glad you decided to come." You saw the sincerity in his eyes as you replied, "I'd go anywhere with you."

I Could Never Hate You Matt Sturniolo x Reader One Shot
Summary: Matt thinks you're better off as friends.
Word Count: 1019 words
Tumblr media
Things were different between you and Matt since he got back from Boston.
You had been dating for 2 years and you had planned your future around him. He was everything that you had been looking for and you couldn’t imagine loving anyone else but him. Things felt off before he left but, he promised that you’d talk it out when he got back.
You didn’t hear from him as much as you usually did when he was away but, you thought it was just because he was spending time with him family. You had every intention to fix things when he got back but, you were starting to feel like he didn’t want too.
He had invited you over to the house and you were going to spend the day together. Your excitement was hindered by a lingering feeling that he was going to tell you it was over. You couldn’t explain it but, you had an instinct for these kinds of things.
When he greeted you with a kiss it felt so distant that it left a giant chasm in your chest. Nick and Chris said hello and then disappear to their rooms like you were a friend of their parents they didn’t want to see.
You and Matt headed out for lunch like you always did. He keeping rubbing his hands together like he was cold to avoid holding yours. You both avoided eye contact and barely uttered a word between you.
As you looked out the window of your way toward the beach, you tried to pin point where it all went wrong. It all seemed so trivial, you couldn’t being to understand what would have turned him off you. Your heart tightened in your chest as you tried to hold your tears back. Maybe you were reading too much into this. Maybe the honeymoon phase was just coming to an end.
When you got to the restaurant, he still opened the car door for you and pulled your chair out at the table. He still told you that you looked nice and asked if the food was ok. He still played the part even though you had convinced yourself he didn’t want to.
He told you about Boston and about the tour he’d been on since March. He lit up when he spoke about the people he got to meet along the way. He even said that he wished you had gone with him. That was a good sign, wasn’t it?
He asked about your friends and you family back in Florida. He even went to see them when he first got to Orlando. He was excited when you told him about your new promotion at work and even asked if you what you plans were for the fall.
Over lunch you convinced yourself that you just hadn’t seen him in a long time and you were reading too much into it. He wouldn’t have been here if he didn’t want to be, right?
You tried to get out of your head and enjoy his company. You wanted to ask what he was thinking but, this wasn’t the time or the place. All you wanted to know was where you stood and he wasn’t giving you anything.
As you both waited for the bill to come, the small talk was unbearable. You reached for his hand across the table, a small gesture of connection but, he pulled it away.
The silence was so loud. Your heart on the verge of breaking. In that moment you knew it was over. You had held onto everyword he said like your life depended on it and here he was cutting your lifeline.
You saw the sadness in his eyes as he gave his card to the waiter. “I’ll be at the car,” you whispered hoarsely as you got up to leave.
It felt like an eternity before he emerged from the restaurant. As you climbed into the passenger seat, you kept your head facing forward. You couldn’t look at him, you didn’t want to hear what he had to say.
“Y/n,” he started, turning to face you, “Please look at me.” You couldn’t.
“It’s not you,” he said. You couldn’t help but, laugh as tears rolled down your cheeks.
“Is there someone else?” you asked. “No,” he assured, “but we’ve barely spoked in three months.”
“I love you… But, I just think that we’re better off as friends,” he explained.
He finally tipped your heart over the edge and shattered it into pieces. Not only was he breaking up with you but, you realised that your absence clearly had no affect on his life. You couldn’t help but think that your presence had no meaning either.
You sat in silence for the rest of the drive. You wanted to berate him but, you couldn’t do that to someone you loved.
And, you still did love him. He didn’t do anything wrong. He didn’t have to love you and you didn’t want to beg him to. He couldn’t see a future and you had to let him go.
When he pulled up behind your car parked outside of his house, he got out and opened your door. As you slipped past him and headed to your drivers side, he grabbed your wrist and spun you back round to him.
On a different day he would have kissed but, instead he said, “I’m sorry, Y/n… I really am.”
You forced a smile despite your red, puffy eyes and said, “I guess I always knew this day would come.”
He looked at you, confused. “I always loved you so much more than you loved me. You were my best friend and I forced you to love me and in doing that I ruined everything.”
“That’s not true… God, I never wanted you to hate me,” Matt said with tears welling in his eyes.
“It’s ok, Matt,” you said, “I was delusional to think that you would fall for me like I fell for you. And, I was crazy to think that we were made for each other. But, I will never hate you. How could I?”
