Ahmed reached out to me to help share his fundraiser. He is urgently trying to raise money to evacuate his 8-year-old little brother Mohammed from Gaza. He has raised €3,138 of his €10,000 goal so far! Please donate, and if you can’t donate, please share!
From Ahmed’s GFM:
PS:This campaign aims at getting out the child Mohamed from Gaza
My name is Ahmed, and I want to share the story of my brother with you, hoping to evoke empathy and understanding. Before the October 7th war, my younger brother's life was filled with joy and innocence. His days were spent playing and laughing, surrounded by love and care.
However, when the war started, everything changed for him. Each passing day brought more fear and uncertainty into his young life. The recent bombings in Gaza have shattered his world, leaving him and our family homeless and without any possessions. Our beloved home, a symbol of our efforts and love, was completely destroyed in this war.
In truth, my younger brother, Mohammed, had built a future in his mind and planned his life ahead. He was deeply passionate about his studies and dedicated to his dream of becoming a doctor one day. However, his dreams were shattered when the occupying forces bombed his school, the place where he pursued his education and nourished his aspirations. The destruction of his school not only robbed him of his academic environment but also extinguished the hope he held for a better future.
Despite the challenges he faces, Mohammed remains determined to overcome adversity and pursue his dream of becoming a doctor
Mohammed, my younger brother, was a natural talent in football. He possessed an innate skill on the field and dreamed of one day becoming a professional footballer. However, the recent bombings have devastated our community, and the football field where Mohammed used to showcase his talent lies in ruins. The destruction of his cherished playground has not only robbed him of his dreams but has also left him grappling with a sense of loss and hopelessness. Despite the turmoil, Mohammed's passion for the sport remains unwavering, a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos that surrounds us.
Mohammed, my younger brother, is grappling with severe psychological issues amid the turmoil in Gaza. He struggles to sleep, often waking up screaming from nightmares of the horrors he's witnessed. The loss of some of his friends has compounded his distress, and he struggles to comprehend the magnitude of the situation in this war-torn environment.

Noha reached out to me on Twitter to share her fundraiser. She's urgently trying to raise $95,160 to evacuate her 22-person family from Gaza and help them gain access to life-saving medical care. She's only made $7,942 out of her goal so far! Please donate, and if you can't, please share!
From her GFM page:
Help me save my family
Hello, I am Noha Ayyad, a Palestinian from Gaza, specifically from Shujaiya. My family was forcibly displaced from their homes to the southern Gaza Strip, and they now live in tents in the central area, where 22 people live in a small tent suffering from a lack of water and food, including children who were deprived of their basic rights to education and life like the rest of the children in the world. The Israeli Defense Forces completely bombed our house, and we lost our business. My brothers worked in the clothing trade and had a clothing distribution shop. It was destroyed along with the house. They lost their work and all their money, and they no longer had a place to return to.
My mother suffers from arthritis and back pain, and my brother suffers from paralysis in his right leg and needs regular treatment. He also suffers from a lack of necessary medicines in Gaza, as you know.
I lost my only child and my husband in the 2014 war
Now I am afraid of losing the rest of my family and I have nothing to do but ask them to evacuate from Gaza to a safe place to save their lives.
Travel is through the Rafah crossing. I asked for $5,000 per person over 16 and $2,500 for children under 16, which means I need $95,160 (13 adults x $5,000 + 9 children x $2,500) + GoFundMe fees( %2.99 + 0.05 cents for every transaction) total of ($2660)
Finally, $5,000 for travel expenses.
I hope for help from you and from everyone who has humanity and hears and sees what is happening in Gaza in terms of genocide and war.
Note that I was not accustomed to asking anyone for help before, but the curse of war, my longing and fear for my family, and I hope to meet them well before I find myself losing one of them again, as happened before in 2014. War. Whether this is due to bombing, it will be due to hunger and disease
Sincerely,
Noha Ayyad

aita for lying to my crush about his wife being dead?
the story goes like this. I'm a widowed woman, running my business (it wasn't going well until recently) when the person who used to live upstairs (middle aged, M) came home after a long time. Naturally he came asking for an explanation of what happened to his family, etc. I told him almost everything, but i didn't exactly mention that his wife didn't actually die after trying to take her own life by swallowing poison. I didn't say she died either to be fair, he just assumed that! I technically didn't even lie!
Anyways, we became business partners and he was obsessed with taking revenge on the person who ruined his life or whatever. I'm just glad customers are finally coming to my shop. I may have some unethical ways of going about it, but that's not why I'm asking.
the awkward thing is, my business partner finally killed the man he's been after but in the process he also killed that crazy homeless woman who I didn't exactly tell him has been his wife all along and he got a little bit mad when he recognized her. Long story short he killed me. I don't think that reasonable to be honest, I only did it because I wanted to spare his feelings. Well that and because I know I'd be a better wife to him than she was. AITA?

Tumblr's reply to the situation with CEO's transphobia is pathetic and you should not be thanking them for doing the bare minimum of saying he's not speaking for them. They fucking thanked that bitch.
The affected trans women are still banned.
A transphobic manchild offered no proper apology. Or stopped. He is also still in his position.
Tumblr is still factually transphobic. Keep pushing.

I think out of the core 4, Zane and Jay's dynamic has arguably been developed the least. Which is a shame, bc there is underrated angst/comedy potential in pairing up the Guy Who Dies Every Two Weeks with the Cockroach Who Could Not Die If He Wanted To.

emily gwen, the creator of the sunset lesbian flag that we’ve come to commonly use, still continues to live in poverty.
Tumblr media
multi-billion dollar companies have used their design and made profit from it, and yet they have not seen a cent for their creation.
i’ve been friends with emily for years, and i have not once seen them be financially stable the entire time. i’ve seen them homeless, unemployed, starving. right now, they need our help more than ever.
please consider donating to emily’s ko-fi, especially if you’ve used their design to create something and profited from it.
