No matter what type of relationship you have, if you abuse your partner, you’re an asshole.

No ifs, ands, or buts. There’s a huge difference between liking it rough, and being an abuser. Hurting your significant other to get you off while they’re in pain and are not having a good time along with you is not “liking it rough”. Liking it rough is not causing them immense pain and agony, if they do not consent, you’re abusing them.

(Quick side note. If both parties consent and are totally into freaky shit, all the power to you. Go have fun. But if there is ever even a little bit of doubt that the other party is not into whatever you were gonna do, to be on the safe side and for the sake of your partners well being maybe don’t do it. Ask your partner if you really wanna do a thing if you’re unsure. COMMUNICATION IS KEY MAH DUDES.)

Manipulating them into sex, into thinking the pain you cause them is affection, and everything in between is nothing short of abuse. Fuck it doesn’t even need to be sexual things! Manipulating them into things they don’t wanna do, hitting them, making them feel unwanted or ugly, calling them names, etc etc is abuse.

I could go on for hours. Moral of the story, if you abuse your partner, you’re a dick and should fuck off.
