She sat rushed.

Almost aloof and not present as a clump of bleach blonde tendrils danced over her eye.

But that charismatic southern drawl didn’t point to a woman afflicted but a woman who had mastered her many poker faces. Nobody in all of Wellsbury could vouch and say that Georgia Miller was a woman they knew, because in truth, Georgia didn’t know herself.

Georgia wasn’t even her name.

Mary.

She shuddered at the mere mention of that name that brought back memories of a childhood she had been desperate to forget.

She had gotten used to playing up to the southern belle that the town of Wellsbury knew her to be, and when to play it down.

The only one that had gotten close to unearthing who Georgia was… Joe at the rest stop all those years ago. His kindness had revitalised a woman plagued with both physical and emotional trauma and sparked a want to give Ginny the normality she never had.

It was a shame Joe hadn’t yet put two and two together, that kindness got Georgia through the worst kind of days.

Dressed in plaid, Joe ambled in where Georgia’s smile was brief as she plastered it with her usual southern drawl, “Hey”

In unison, Joe extended a warm hey back at Georgia but couldn’t help but to notice how she didn’t really seem like her usual chipper herself.

I’m so gone for the scrapes of Joe and Georgia that we got. The parallels!! How he sees the real her clearer than anyone else! More than that, he sees the real her and he doesn’t judge her and loves her anyways. His love, admiration and respect doesn’t come with conditions. He wants to give her fairy-tale happy ending even if it’s not with him. Why are they forcing Georgia and Paul down our throats when we could have this instead?

It’s like the writers were in my head two years ago. I mean, I didn’t hate Joe and Cynthia together to be honest and it was nice to see a jealous Georgia.

But real talk, I need my endgame.

what are your thoughts on all of Georgia's ships?

thanks anon for taking the time to ask me a question ‘bout my fav ship at the moment. so here’s what i think. i think the writers were quite clever to propositioning all of Georgia’s ships to us, because in truth, none of them are unlikeable. i think some of us just have preferences as to who we’d like Georgia to end up with. that being said, i find Paul to be very meh. don’t get me wrong, i can see why they are both drawn to each other but their pairing just seems to border along the lines of them both being power hungry. also, Paul seems to treat Georgia as a trophy wife because she plays the part so well. i mean, have you seen her?? Zion is also a good choice as well... i don’t agree that what he has with Georgia is fleeting. i actually feel like they both get each other very well and i’d be happy if she ended up with Ginny’s dad, for Ginny’s sake too. and i also think that he loves Georgia so purely, it’s just such a shame that Georgia often pulls away whenever he gets close. now, my absolute fave. the darkhorse of the entire show. GODDAMN JOE. Joe is sucha dream. i adore how soft spoken he is, how he melts whenever she came into Blue Farm, how wracked he got when he discovered she kept those sunglasses. i really really want the writers to pair these two together ‘cus i think it’ll be beautiful. however, it isn’t lost on me that Georgia isn’t at the right mind frame to be with Joe right now. she lives her life playing a part and to bring Joe into that will complicate shit. that’s why i’m kinda open to the writers bringing in a new love interest for Joe, cus who doesn’t love angst.  let’s hope and pray netflix answer our prayers and give us a season 2.
