To cover her butt during New Year’s Eurus lies and tells mummy that Sherlock has a wife, and Mycroft borrows her ‘Sherlock’s wife’ excuse whenever he wants to avoid sticky topics during holidays. The lie gets bigger the more Sherlock avoids family meetings. Until December when Sherlock finds out he’s married to a forensic (E), sex addicted(E), petite (E), intelligent (M), very forgiving (M) paragon of virtue (M). Rewatching the Finder and a thought came to me. What if when Walter finally comes out the first thing he does us visit Leo. Except its not at the ends of the earth but at the grave yard. He would kneel next to Leo and say. "You are finally with them my old friend. I hope that you are with them looking over me. Say hello to Ellie for me. Good bye my old friend."
