Part. 3

You were in the studio to prepared more songs. Wonpil and Jae will join you today while Brian, Dowoon, and Sungjin have other things to do. You were super busy until you put the hanging board Do not disturb in front of the studio.

You heard someone knocked on the door.

"Noona, may I coming?" Wonpil called you.

"Yes." You replied.

Wonpil entered the studio with his bright smile, black sweater, jeans, and red converse high shoes. His perfume smell like soft vanilla that you can feel even you are a meter away from him.

"Hey, how was the MV shoot?." You greeted him.

"Seems fine. It's quite fast since it only took 3 days. Noona, have you eat? Jae hyung will join us soon, he's on the coffee shop right now."

"I don't even remember the last time I eat. By the way, what day is it? Wonpil, please help me out with these mastering things, it's almost done, just need a little touch from you and Jae. I think I need to take a rest for a while." You stand and give the seat to Wonpil while you move to the back couch and tried to take a rest. You forgot the last time you eat and sleep. You forgot what day is it. You forgot to text your boyfriend. You forgot everything.

"It's Sunday, Noona. Sure, take your time."

"Ah, Sunday already? Time moving too fast." You confused.

You checked your phone and it's turned off, you forgot the last time you charged it. You put the charge on it and turn it on quickly.

You replied to him.

"Jae is in the house yo~, how was your day Y/N? your eyes look like a panda that not sleep for a whole year." Jae entered the studio and bring the americanos and sandwiches.

Jae came to the studio with his blonde hair, his grandpa glasses, red hoodie, black jeans, and his slip-on.

"It was terrible, chicken Jae." You replied while you lay on the couch and close your eyes.

"Respekt! I know PD-nim life's is hard. You should become an idol instead. Here are your coffee and sandwich." Jae offered.

"Just put it on the table, I want to sleep for a while." You responded and tried to sleep.

"Take your time, I'll taking care of the rest with Wonpil. Let's get it, Wonpil!"

"Yaaaaa... our song will be legit, Hyung. You have to hear this. This is so awesome." Wonpil gives the headphone to Jae.

"Of course, Day6 will never make a bad song." Jae replied and used the headphone.

"Hyung, don't you smell something fishy..like.." Wonpil smells something fishy and tried to figure out the source and he found your nose bleed.

"Blood! Noona!." Wonpil tried to find a tissue for you and patted Jae's shoulder quickly.

"Jae hyung, help me!" He screamed.

You're not realized the blood is running from your nose while you were sleeping.

Jae runs to you, grabbed his americano, took the ice into his handkerchief, then puts it on your nose.

"Wonpil, could you please help me to make a hot tea for her." Jae ordered Wonpil. Jae helped you to sit and he continued to protest you while Wonpil went out from the studio to make you a hot tea. You and Jae are not realized that Brian already in front of the door studio.

"Jezzz Y/N, I got you. I got you. Oh My, you have a fever too. You know what Y/N, this is that I hate the most from you. How long you've been in the studio? Don't tell me you're not coming home since we left for the MV Shoot?" Jae assumed.

You can't answer but you give a sign 3 days with your finger.

"Bet you're not sleeping in the past 3 days. It feels like Deja Vu, Y/N"

"Hey, don't tell me that."

"It was 5 years ago, I think."

"6." You corrected him.

"You were in semester exams, tried to understand the statistic things and you're not sleeping for 4 days. I found your nose bleeding and I was shocked and carried you to the hospital and all you do in the hospital were sleeping in straight 24 hours like a hibernating squirrel." Jae chuckled when told you his most nostalgic memory.

"Hey, I was a political science student back then. How could I understand statistics!"

"Why didn't you asked me? I can teach you. I was your boyfriend back then, all you have to do is ask me."

"I was too embarrassed. Please stop those nostalgic things, Jae. People might hear us."

"No one here, just you and me. See, the bleeding stops. I know how to handle you very well." He took off the ice compress from your nose.

"Thank you, Jae. You are the best ex-boyfriend ever."

"You never think about me as a man anymore, don't you? For me, you are still my best winter ever."

"The best answer is no, Jae. You have to say goodbye to your old winter."

"It means we're not going back together again, huh?"

"Definitely we're not going back together, Jae."

"I can't argue with that.... Wait, why does Wonpil taking so long for a cup of tea? let me check him." He went out to found Wonpil. He opened the door and saw Brian stand in front of him and shocked.

"Jezzz Brian, you freak me out!"

"So, you and Y/N were dating 6 years ago?" Brian asked intensely to Jae.

"You've heard that?" Jae confused.

"I can hear everything clearly, Jae."

"I think it's not a big deal for you, those are only part of my past. Just don't tell to anybody else. Deal?"

"Deal." Brian simply replied.

Jae patted Brian's shoulder and left the studio.

You hope you can escape instantly from the awkward situation between you, Jae, and Brian. Brian walked towards you with another disappointed face.

"I think another mystery from you has been revealed. Why don't you tell me earlier? I think we have to reveal our relationship to all members." He sat next to you and tried to manage his anger.

You can't explain the details to your boyfriend. You felt guilty.

"You don't need to explain to me now. Maybe tomorrow when you feel better. I will drive you home now." He continued.

"Brian.. I am so sorry about all of these."

"I don't want you to think about us right now, you just have to think about your health. That's your first priority for now. Let's go. Here." Brian opened his jacket and put it into you. You walked to the parking lot with him.

He opened the car's door and put the seat belt for you as usual but he can't hide his frustrated face.

You felt too weak to speak. You can't help it and falling asleep in his car.

You arrived at your apartment. For the first time, he wakes you up from your sleep. He opened the door and bend over to reach you and cupped your cheeks.

"Babe, we arrived."

You opened your eyes. "Are you not mad at me?"

"A little. I still trying to understand the situation right now. Come on, I'll walk you to the apartment." He held your hand to lead you to your place, pressed the passcode, and opened the door for you.

"Here's your medicine, supplements, and your meal. Make sure to take the medicine and the meal before you sleep." He handed over the medicine and meals to you and kissed your forehead.

You hugged him.

"I promise to tell you everything when I get better."

"You have to. I have to go now, I have a schedule in an hour."

"Thank you, Brian."

"See you soon, Babe."

"Bye."

You closed the door with tears on your face. You felt guilty for hiding all the truth from him. You should tell him earlier but you afraid of losing him if he knew the truth that you and Jae were more than a best friend in the past.

"Babe." He called.

"Brian." You replied slowly.

"Wait, did he just called you babe? You owe me a whole story." Jae let go of his hand from you and asked curiously.

"Jae, no it's not,  you've misheard...." The only logical answer that crossed your mind is to deny what just Brian said.

"No, It's not babe but Jae and you misheard. I think we have to get back to the studio it's an hour already." Brian helped.

"Told you, Jae, let's go." You relieved.

Jae's phone ringed with letting go ringtone.

"Oh wait, my mom is calling, gonna run to the studio in 5 minutes. You guys go on ahead. Bye."

You and Brian walked to the studio together waiting for the elevator opened. Things getting awkward between you and Brian.

"Brian.." You called him and you understand he disappointed.

"You held his hand." His eyes getting darker and tried not to see your face.

"It's not like what you think. Jae and I were friends since college." You tried to explain.

"Did you just tell me that right now? I feel betrayed." He smirked.

The elevator door is opened. It's awkward that both of you can't say anything. This is the first fight in your relationship between you and Brian. You felt uncomfortable when things got awkward.

"You just overreacted on this." You annoyed.

"Y/N, maybe I'm stupid for you but I hope you understand the reason why am I doing this to you."

"You're not calling me babe anymore when you are mad at me."

"I can't mad in a romantic way." He grinned.

"Me and Jae are friends and it is the same as Sungjin, Dowoon, and Woonpil even Stray kids member."

"They're not holding your hand or hug you."

"Jae is not even hugged me. If you're going too far than this...."

"I saw Jae hugged you last year in the studio when you were crying. You're not calling me but it's him that you've called." Brian stroked his hair, seeing the ceiling, exhale and turn around.

You saw Brian mad at you for the first time. The brightest man that you ever know surrounded by his jealousy. You won't let this fight too long because you knew the comeback, music, photoshoot, fans are taking too much energy for Day6. You were distracted by the way he stroked his hair, your favorite thing ever. You can't handle it and pull his hand close to you and pecked his lips shortly. Brian shocked, his eyes got widened.

"Have you see this thing between me and Jae?" You tried to make him believed in you.

"I won't let you do this to the other man." Brian weakened.

"Are we cool?" You said. "Hmm. Babe, I love you." Brian blushed.

The elevator door opened. You and Brian spontaneously move away from each other. Your CEO entered the elevator.

"Ah hyung-nim, annyonghaseo." Brian greeted and bow his head to JY Park.

"Annyonghaseo." You followed.

"Are you guys dating? Just don't let anyone know. Even your band member. Y/N has too many fans in this company." JY Park straight to the point and makes you so depressed.

"I am very lucky then, hyung-nim." Brian answered with chuckled.

The elevator opened. You and Brian bowed to him before heading out from the elevator.

"See, I'm a lucky guy." Brian proud.

"I thought you were mad at me 5 minutes ago."  You smirked.

Brian laughed. You and Brian went to the studio. You saw Sungjin, Dowoon, Woonpil, Jae waited for you in the studio with an americano in their hands.

"Jae, when did you get here?" You asked.

"About a minute ago. I was flying, here's your coffee." Jae gave you a coffee.

"Chicken can't fly, Jae." You sipped the coffee and you found Brian can't take his eyes off you.

You mouthed "What?" to him and he just rolled his eyes.

"Ok guys, let's start to practice the Headache song." You ordered.

11:15 PM

"I think I can't handle my sleepy head today." You complained.

"Should I drive you home or should we all go home?" Sungjin offered.

"That's a good idea or should we have a drink tonight?" Wonpil tried to make his stressed away.

"In the private club" Dowoon suggested.

"No guys, I can't handle if you all drunk. I'm not ready. Y/N, I'll drive you home, I'm going to the dorm anyway."  Jae refused to get drunk. He's not allergic to alcohol but easy to get drunk.

"Come on hyung, just this time. One drink then you can go home." Dowoon insisted.

"You only to have one drink and we can take care of them, Jae. You know Woonpil will be cried a lot when drunk, Dowoon will be laughed and sing loudly, Sungjin will sing all night long. We should be taking care of them. Y/N please come with us." Brian offered.

"And you will call random people when you drunk. Ok, I won't drink too much. Let's get it!" Jae continued and walked to the parking lot.

"Hey, I don't even say yes." You complained.

"You have me, babe. Come on." Brian whispered and put his hands on your shoulder to lead you the way.

The boys are all in the basement and thought.

"Who's driving a car to the office today? Cause I don't." Sungjin explained.

"You can drive my car with Jae, Wonpil, and Dowoon. Here's the key. Y/N still in the toilette, I'll wait for her. I will follow you as soon as she finished."  Brian lent his car to Sungjin.

"Ok thanks, see you at the club." Sungjin walked to Brian's car.

You were in the basement and only saw Brian.

"Where are.. I mean the boys?"

"They use my car, I'll drive yours. You want me to drive you home, seems you are so tired." Brian offered.

"Yes please, just drive me home and then you can join them." You walked to the car with Brian.  He opened the door for you to let you in.

You leaned your head on the seat and put the seat belt on.

Your car feels like a second home for you. You feel nothing but comfortable.

"Feel sleepy enough, babe?" Brian started the engine and drive you home.

"Yes, and I just not in the mood for drunk. Tomorrow will be harder than today. I have a recording schedule as a backing vocal for the girl group, recording and mixing for your band also, and an annual meeting with all the producers. I think 24 hours in a day just not enough for me."

"You're stronger than you thought, babe. I believe in you." Brian stroke your hair softly. You smiled.

"Thank you, boyfriend."

You felt your eyes heavy and you falling asleep while Brian driving you home.

"Babe, we arrived." Brian called you but you fall into a deep sleep so you can't hear him. Once again, he is not planning on waking you up and he waiting for you until you wake up.

02.52 AM

You woke up and realize that you still in your car with Brian sleep next to you.

"Brian, I'm so sorry, you should wake me up."

"Ah, you wake up already? It's ok babe, I was sleeping too. You know I can sleep anywhere, anytime. You wanna go inside now?" You nodded and he helped you to take off your seat belt and open your door.

"Brian, thank you for being nice to me."

"With pleasure, babe."

He leads you to your apartment.

"How about the boys?" You asked.

"I told them that you falling asleep in the car and I can't wake you up so...Sungjin and Jae decided not to get drunk to help Wonpil and Dowoon."

"Such good friends."

You arrived in front of your apartment door, Brian pressed the passcode and open the door for you.

"Wanna come inside? it's late already. You can sleep here. I have two bedrooms." You offered.

"If you insist." Brian smirked.

You went to your room and let Brian sit on the couch in your living room. You take your oversized clothes, pants, and blanket for him.

"Here's my best-oversized clothes, pants, and a blanket, hoping those will fit in you. Do you wanna sleep on the couch or bedroom? I can prepare it for you." You offered.

He stands in front of you. Holding your hands and hugged you.

"Babe, let me hug you just a little while. I feel like you're my home now. Thank you for accepting me."

"Why you suddenly being romantic?" You can feel he hugged you tight and you hugged him back. He sits on your couch while still holding your hands, you followed him.

"I've been alone all this time. My parents still in Canada, no siblings, and now I have you. I hope we can together as long as we can."

"Please don't say that I'm your first girlfriend."

"Third. The first one was in high school, the second one was in college and both of them cheated on me with someone else."

"I won't cheat on you"

"I'm afraid of losing you."

The atmosphere becomes warm. Brian being very close with you and kissed you. A very deep kissed that you never imagine and he ended it with a pecked on your lips smoothly.

"I'm gonna sleep on the couch babe, I have to go at 7 AM. You have to go to sleep too."

You went to your bedroom with a smile and you realized that you love him more.

Part.1 

12.05 AM

You walked into the parking lot with your runny nose. The cold allergy won't go away unless your body gets warmed.

You opened the car door and ready to go home but then you see something on the passenger seat next to you. A thermos bottle and a couple of snacks with a yellow sticky notes:

"I know you forgot to bring your jacket.

I know you will have a runny nose while running into your car.

I know you are hungry now. Thank God I have your spare key so that I can sneak into your car.

It's 10:05 pm, I need to get rest since I'm not sleeping for 2 days and I can't interrupt you in the office so... a cup of warm chocolate milk will make you better and of course with your favorite croissant.  See you very soon.

-I am finally officially yours since 3 months ago-"

Your boyfriend keeps the butterflies in your stomach since 3 months ago. You can't stop smiling while you reading his yellow sticky notes. Your 3 months relationship really fulfilled with sweet things that you never felt before even though your boyfriend is very your best friend since 2 years ago. You afraid to ruin your friendship but it turns out into a relationship since he told you his feelings.

You can't wait to sip your warm chocolate milk and consume your croissant to warm your body and it's even not your second cup of it, surprisingly your nose stop runny.

You are too sleepy to ride your own car then you barely realized that you just ride the wrong way. You made a u-turn so you can drive the right way.

You feel like a lot of hectic things happened in the office. More so,  your only band group will come back in 3 months, and a few songs still in the demo version. Since now you are a PD-nim and responsible for Day6 songs.

Many things come to your mind when it comes to revising the demo version. Jae would be the first man who's got angry when you revise the lyrics, chord, tempo, or even the way they sing and it could become an argument material until we get the best decision. Dowoon would be a little frown when the tempo raised cause you know the drummer has to move all the body such as hands, legs, move simultaneously in one instrument. Wonpil could be more opened to received my suggestion but of course with his smirks. Sungjin will be the one who thinks harder and made the best decision for the whole song. Brian could just smile but everything he said will be full of sarcastic words. So you will try to revise it and make it easier for the boys or maybe you'll just put the bad mood mode on them so they can't argue about your revised suggestion.

You've been thinking a lot all the way home and you just arrived at your place.

You pressed the passcode on the door lock and open the door.

"I am hooooome." Your bad habit is keeping say that I'm home while you are living alone in your place.

You checked your phone and you got a message from your boyfriend and you replied to his message fast.

You replied to his message fast. You take a shower and go to bed.

08:45

You wake up and feel freshened. You checked your phone to make sure your boyfriend is not coming yet.

You shocked that even you can't meet your boyfriend in the morning and you called him.

"Hello babe, are you wake up now?" He picked up the phone.

"And you leaving already?"

"Yes, I'm sorry, the schedule is hectic today. We have to take another photoshoot in the morning and then back to the studio to listen to the PD-nim suggestion about our demo version."

"See you in the studio then."

"See you in the studio, babe."

"Don't call me babe in the office."

"I am trying my best."

"I know. Bye."

You hang up the phone and getting ready for the office. Before you take a shower, you see a plate on your table in the dining room with a beautiful slice of Sunkist, watermelon, apples, and a vanilla latte next to it. Your morning fulfilled so much love from your boyfriend, still, your boyfriend is never stopping you from smiling every day.

You put on your black turtleneck, jeans, and white Nike air force sneakers. You drive to the office hoping that your revised demo will be accepted by the boys. They should accept it, the management has approved it tho.

You arrived in the basement parking lot and you see the boys just arrived from the photoshoot.

"Y/N! Hi! over here." Jae waved his hands to you. Jae and his bandmates are across from you. Jae just out of the car. He always sits in the front seat since he is the eldest among the member.

"Oh, Hi there." You walked towards them. "How was the photoshoot?"

"It's pretty good with the retro thing, I think I am very handsome today."

"Yes, I can see your confidence, Jae."

Sungjin just out of the car and set the seat to let Wonpil and Dowoon out of the car. Brian is on the other side of Sungjin and he walked to in front of the car.

"Hi Y/N." Brian said.

"Hi, Brian." You replied shortly.

"Sungjin, have you receive the email? I have sent you the revised demo version song. I mean the revised melody."

"Yes, I've heard that, I think we're gonna have an argument in the next 10 minutes."

"Noona, have you eat?" Dowoon asked.

"Of course I have fruits, latte in the morning, how about you?"

"We had fast food this morning."

"Great, just make sure that 5 hours ahead you're guys not hungry, we will have a heavy meeting today." I explained.

"Oh, I just got even more nervous to think about our comeback, I think I'm not ready for this." Wonpil answered.

"I'll get your back, bro." you tried to calm him down.

"Let's go to the studio guys." The manager leads you to the studio.

The Day6 members are sitting in the studio, they're kind of nervous and hoping the revised are not really too much.  You can hear all of the boys starting to exhale.

"Guys, I was meeting with the management last night about your comeback and they approve my revision about your demo version. Let me start with Headache song demo version." and you continue your words.

"Brian, you took too much line in this song. This is not Brian featuring Day6. I think you need to share it with Jae and also we have changed your bass chord to make the bass even stronger." You begin it with bad mood mode.

"That's too harsh and that's only a demo don't take it seriously. Actually, Jae can't reach the notes tho. " Brian replied

"Brian, we can change the notes. Jae, don't worry I've got your back."

"I know I can count you, Y/N, but yes you're too harsh in the beginning. Does something happen to you?" Jae worried.

"No, I'm fine. Ok next. Wonpil, I need you to take the opening part with the synthesizer thing, not the drum as the opening. Dowoon, we need you to raise the tempo."

You pause and get a little doubt on yourself that they won't accept if you changed the lyrics. You started to exhale and continue.

"I think, I mean if you guys ok, I'll change the lyrics from

Girl, please forgive me

Babe, be my headache.

Cause the title is Headache but I can't found that word on the lyrics"  You started getting intensed.

"Cause the situation on that lyrics already give you a headache." Jae tried to explain.

"Not every person that listens to your music pays attention to your lyrics. They won't even feel your lyrics as a headache. They need your music delivered well to them." You explained.

"Hey! lyrics are important too!." Brian starting to get annoyed with you.

"But when I saw the title with the lyrics then I found that's no correlation between both of it. I get confused what is the exact title of this song. You guys wanted to go international, right? how can you reach them if you're not paying attention to them? International listeners only read on the alphabet, not in hangul. So at least put the word headache on the lyrics is the best way."

Brian got speechless and can't answer your argument.

"Ok, I lose, that's why we need you as our PD-nim." Jae answered.

"I think Y/N is right about the lyrics. Is not bad I think." Sungjin defended you.

"Wonpil, please try to sing it." You ordered.

"Babe, be my headache." Wonpil sing.

"Not bad but Dowoon please try that line"

"Hey, I'm drum!"

"Hey, I'm a drummer too. Sungjin, please try that line."

"Babe, be my headache."

"We need a nasty tone, not a strong one. Jae.."

"Babe, be my headache." Jae tried to sing.

"Oh God not a sexy tone, Jae. Brian, please try."

"Babe, be my headache."

"See, that sounds pretty ear-catching. Ok, that line belongs to Brian"

"Don't call me Brian, it's YoungK!." Brian protested.

"Whatever, we have a week to make this song worth it." You ignored Brian and starting to share a paper of newly revised melody.

Wonpil started to get his synthesizer and arrange the opening melody. You and Dowoon tried to re-arrange the tempo. You give him a exemplify the tempo to him. Sungjin, Jae, and Brian started a little discussion since they are all a guitarist.

Hours to hours gone by.

The manager comes to the studio.

"Guys is night already, I bring you some food."

"What time is it?" Sungjin asked.

"7 PM." Manager answered.

"Wow, no wonder I feel so hungry. Do you buy some burgers for me?" Brian asked.

"Burgers, jjajangmyeon, pizza, you can eat it all. I know you all will stay up the night."

"Thank you Manager-nim, you are the best." Wonpil and Dowoon run into their pizza.

"Ok, we will take a break an hour." You ordered.

"Yes, mam." Dowoon answered.

"Y/N, can we have a little conversation outside?" Jae asked you and bring your favorite jjajangmyeon so you can eat it with him outside.

"Of course." You answered.

Jae looked so restless, he's not happy as usual. Jae leads you to the park outside the building and gives you a jjajangmyeon.

"You know, the company doesn't really like my vlog." Jae started.

"I know, the management has discussed it."

"You know, I've been thinking if vlogging is the best way to introduce Day6 to the world."

"But you know, the income from Day6 is not big as another idol in the company. You're not even an idol, Jae. You are a member of a band. I have watched your vlogs it's kinda fun and entertaining when you said 'Respekt!' but that's not a mission of what Day6 made in the first place." You tried to explain.

Suddenly your phone keeps vibrating.

Deep inside your heart, you know that your boyfriend is being jealous of Jae.

Jae is your old friend in college. You were in California for four years until you were graduated with a political science degree. Jae was your very closest friend back then, he was your only classmate that fully understand you.

After Jae signed a contract with an entertainment company, he secretly sent your video into an audition competition. The video showed you singing while playing piano and also your drum cover for a couple of songs. Miraculously, the company really interested in your music video. The company really pays attention to your musical ability.

In 2012 you decide to sign a contract with the entertainment company for being a trainee. When the company told you that you are able to choose between became an idol in a girl group for being a leader or producer, you chose producer as your main job. You were debuted as a junior producer in 2014.

When you found Jae in the same company in 2012, you were both agreed to not let anyone knows that both of you been a best friend since 2009. The trainees are banned to have a close relationship with another trainee, it's all written on the contract. Both of you won't let anyone misunderstanding your friendship. The trainee only can have a relationship after 3 years debuted into an idol.

It has been a secret since 2012 until now because we used to it but your boyfriend starting to realize something between you and Jae.  

"You're boyfriend text you, aren't you?" Jae asked.

"How did you find out?"

"You might be date one of our members."  Jae guessed.

"You'll never know."

"What, is it true? so you won't tell me? oh God, I hate you Y/N."

"It's been 3 years since you debuted, I can date all of you." You were chuckling while seeing Jae very shocked.

"Date me then!" Jae answered spontaneously.

"No way Jae." You still can't stop laughing. You're planning to stand up and going back to the studio but suddenly Jae holds your hand.

"Have you ever think about me as a man?" Jae asked intensely. You panicked and try to laughed as weird as you can.

"I never think about you as a girl tho, let's get back to the studio." You tried to let go of Jae's hand but Jae even holds you harder.

Suddenly you hear a voice that really familiar to you that made you into the maximum panicked level until you can't even move your body.

"Babe." He called.

"Brian." You said slowly.
