wren felt the most comfortable in her skin when jordan was around. usually, she was insecure and embarrassed about her appearance but she wasn’t scared to be completely vulnerable in front of him. her loving husband. wren grins and rolls her eyes. “duh, i’m cute.” she raises her eyebrows. “are you saying that you want to watch one with me? god, i love you.” she leans forward to kiss him. wren raises her arms over her head and stretches, letting out a small noise of contentment. “we can go hiking…and visit niagara falls.” she furrows her brows as she thinks. “we can go canoeing and kayaking or we can lounge around in a cabin all day.”

he loved her, completely and unconditionally. there was not a single flaw about wren in his eyes. other than maybe she was too forgiving at times, but he was there to protect her and care for her whenever that came back to bite her.  he laughs and nods his head,  “yes you are very cute,” he confirms confidently.  he nods his head once more, grinning brightly,  “i wanna learn about anything you’re interested in,” he just liked seeing her face lit up and happy. he loved seeing her get so passionate and in to anything that made her heart flutter. so he kisses her back and mumbles an i love you in return.  “what about if we go hiking and set up a picnic somewhere along the way?” he offers, that smile not once fading.  “we can do all of that if you want baby.”

wren sits up on her knees, completely distracted with her facts now. she scrunches up her nose and laughs. she shrugs her shoulders, light hair falling down her back. “i just have a lot of information in my head, i don’t know,” she giggles. wren raises her eyebrows. “maybe…i come home after dance, take a shower, then watch penguin documentaries.” she clasps her hands together. “canada it is!”

god she was the human personification of sunshine. she just sat there with messy hair and a bare face looking like the most glowy, lit up beauty he’d ever seen. she looked like home, she looked like forever.   “yeah?” he hums smiling from ear to ear.  “i think it’s cute.”  he laughs brightly shaking his head fondly, he was addicted to her light.  “well maybe you should wait for me next time you’re watching a penguin documentary.” canada, it sounded so dreamy and lovely. he couldn’t wait to see the world with her and not in a rushed, tour version of seeing the world either. he could experience it and enjoy it.   “what do you wanna do in canada baby?”

wren lets her eyes settle on him. she softens, if that were even possible. “your eyes are very pretty,” she murmurs. at his teasing, she rolls her eyes. “fine, we’re going. we’re getting a penguin and that’s that on that.” she tilted her head. “there are the adélie, emperor, chinstraps and gentoos.” she pauses. “emperor penguins have many partners and breed with them. but the adélie penguins…they have one partner who they’re devoted for their whole lives.” she laughs. “chinstrps and gentoos breed and eat from islands beyond antarctica.” wren pauses, realizing that she knew more about penguins than she thought. she smiles, pressing her lips to his, briefly. “maybe canada? or brazil?”

he’s curious and interested, the incredible and somewhat offbeat knowledge she had was truly the cutest thing in the world. she knew things that blew his mind whilst also puzzling him that she hoarded that somewhere in her brain. “how do you know all this?” he asks but the laughter in his voice is so vibrant and alive his words are hidden behind it.  “do you just watch penguin documentaries when i’m not here?” asks the singer teasingly. “i love canada,” he nods happily.  “i think canada would be a beautiful first stop...then we can head to brazil.”

wren uses her hand to keep her head up. she scrunches up her nose and nods her head. she’s excited, somehow believing they could go to all of these places. “sure, why not? we can visit the penguins. they have four species there, did you know that?” wren brightens, sitting up in excitement. “really?” she grins, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him close. “we’re going to have so much fun.”

she’s precious, soft and innocent in the most alluring way. looking to her and letting his gaze linger.  “lets go then,” muses jordan in a teasing manner.  “maybe we can adopt a penguin while we’re there,” he jokes softly.  “no i didn’t know that,” confesses the singer,  “what’s the differences between them?” he pulls her closer, kisses her forehead and hums in contentment.  “where’s our first stop?” he’s already daydreaming their adventures in his head.

she sighs, softly. it was easily to fall back asleep. she was so warm and comfortable next to jordan. she looks up at the ceiling, as if she’s imagining it all. “all over the place. the whole world. rome, st. petersburg, england, paris, brazil, taiwan, ustralia, new zealand, greenland, india, egypt, canada, los angeles- can we go to antaricia?” she laughs and turns towards him, pressing their noses together. “i just want to go on a grand adventure with you.” 

in this state of serenity it was like nothing in the outside world could interfere with such a state of bliss. pupils dilated as he took in the beauty of the one he loved, smile settled on his lips. he chuckles quietly as she lists of all the places they could go.  “you wanna go to Antarctica?” he asks in amusement. “well lets plan it,” utters the singer joyously,  “lets go everywhere...”

wren was feeling really good about herself after the wedding. she was very happy and relaxed. well, she was for awhile, anyway. jay returning to new york stressed her out to no end, but at least she had her husband here. she looks down at him with fondness. “we should go on a trip. just me and you. of course, after all of your music stuff is situated. what do you think?” wren asked, sliding off of him slightly to rest on the mattress.

he smiles and looks up at her with stars in his eyes and future on his mind. he nods his head, fingertips tracing over her skin as he hums in agreement.  “i think that would be wonderful,” he says in a happy tone.  “where should we go?” he asks curiously turning slightly to face her more.

she hums in content. “perfect,” she murmurs. wren closes her eyes for a moment, taking it all in. what a peaceful morning with her husband. sometimes she swore she made him up. wren opens her eyes and grins. she stroked his cheek with the back of her hand. “my husband.” 

love felt so simply with her and ever since their wedding it had been euphoric to say the least. everything felt dream like and airy. he stares up at her and smiles, he was so in love, reaching up to kiss the tip of her nose.  “forever and always.”
