Shannon and Taylor are two characters I feel work/ed best as love interests when they were allowed to be "bad". The sort of character you love to hate that makes for a good "bad guy". Both went through the annoying "reedeming" wheel, although I do think it works better for Shannon simply because the actress is better (Megan is beautiful and plays mean bitch so well, but she's bellow averaged at portraying anything else). But at least we've seen the back of Taylor, they keep bringing back Shannon's literal ghost to redeem her more and more.

I don’t get it but maybe they are keeping Edy as she hasn’t reach Carano levels of horribleness, which how low is bar then. Maybe Disney doesn’t want another lawsuit/headlines so as long as Edy doesn’t cross certain lines she gets to stay. It feels weird though she keeps getting to come back.

Gosh, this is gonna be a really unpopular take probably, but I think people are vastly overestimating her impact. That shitty little “joke” wasn’t anything everybody’s Aunt Brenda hasn’t shared on Facebook, you know? It never really broke containment from mainly young, mainly online circles. I’m not saying it was okay, I do think she’s a transphobic asshole and I wish the show had shuffled her off by now, but like what can you do? In the grand scheme of actor scandals she’s probably not even on the radar. They probably chalked it up to “in poor taste” and wagged a finger at her not to do it again, and she’s not well known enough to get news sites interested in clicks talking about a year-old ugly meme joke, because very few people care enough about her to even get mad. She’s not compelling as an actress or as a villain. Does that make sense? Like from the network/studio’s perspective, it’s just not enough to force a firing, and from the show’s perspective, maybe better the devil you know, idk.

Most jobs don’t give you a morality test before hiring you, it only becomes a “problem” if you cause enough bad PR to negatively affect your employers reputation, and Edy’s nasty joke just… didn’t do that. It was a minor ripple in a limited segment of the audience. It sucks but thems the breaks I guess.

Still, wish they’d can her for the piss-poor acting if nothing else, but then again bad actresses are nothing new to this show, either.

The main problem is the actress sucks as a person and it sucks to see her skate on it.

As a character, I can’t say I hate Marisol, she’s just super underdeveloped and boring. She’s weird but unfortunately not weird enough to not be boring. They should have leaned into her weird vibes and made her a tumblr/reddit certified “weird girlfriend” and then people might like her more because at least she’d be interesting. 😂 that nun storyline was simply not it.
