IchiRuki Month 2019 - Week 1

Day 3: Haunted

AU in which Rukia never ‘crossed over’ when she died, so in 2004 (or whatever year Bleach actually started) she’s still around to haunt Ichigo to her heart’s content.

Favorite ichiruki moment in manga and anime? (Does not have to be the same moment)

I agonized (cried/fangirling thinking about all their moments) over this ask for the past 2 hours, because they!Have!So!Many!Great!Moments! I can’t! They are so good, I love them. Ok drama time over lol 

As for the manga, my fave ichiruki moment is 

OMG I can’t, too many feels TT anyway this is chapter 116 their first reunion. Why do I like this? I don’t even know where to start, it’s so good, it’s so them. 

First like I already said, this is the first official “ichiruki reunion” after she was taken away. I love everything about it, how she feels his reiatsu, before she sees him, how they completely didn’t expect to see each other there, that 2 page spread of surprised eyes smex is so PRETTY, how the background and other characters fade away when they are together, how HE IS REFLECTED IN HER EYES, how he lands on his knee in frot of her, how he panics and avoids her for few seconds to recollect himself, how he acts all cool and tells her he came to save her but still DOESN’T LOOK AT HER, how he basically goes, why are you sad, I’m doing all of this to see you smile again, you can’t cry, no you should be happy! How she cries over seeing him! There is not many times we see Rukia cry so for me it’s really telling, how he looks at her crying, how she still calls him an idiot, how he says you can get mad at me how much you want later!!! He wants to bring her home with him so they have all the time in the world so she can scold him how much she wants!!! How he wants to crush Byakuya the guy that put them through all this!!! *cries forever* this is so good

As for the anime, I went for just a original anime moment and my fave part is from episode 342, they added many cute scenes in that episode but my fave is the part where Rukia gives that beautiful speech to Ichigo, “you’re not in my way, if you get hurt, I’ll support you, if you can’t fight I’ll fight in your place, if you’re in pain, I’ll bear your pain” I really think they did a good job there, I can totally see Rukia saying something like that and that’s basically what they both really do.

Why Rukia didnt use her gigai to visit ichigo during those 17 months because he can see her with gigai i know she has duties as a shinigami but she can go to the world of the living from time to time i mean some shinigamis like rangiku and ikkaku visited the the world of the living even with their duties

Because DRAMA! We had to have our Ichigo pinning after Rukia, that’s why lol Seriously tho the whole point of the “goodbye” in chapter 423 “farwell swords/bleach mysoul” would have been for nothing, wouldn’t it? 

Imho Rukia didn’t visit Ichigo, not because she was busy, or she didn’t have any duties in Karakura and so on but because even if she went in a gigai it wouldn’t have been the same, like at all. She saw how sad he was, she knew how hard it would be for him. Ichigo had to move on, he had a normal life, a life he never had because for the first time he wasn’t even able to see or feel spirtis anymore, something he could do since he was a kid. Rukia going to him, would have just kept reminding him of what he had and couldn’t have anymore, I’m sure she thought it was for the better if she cut herself from him. 

In the end, as we have seen even after 17 months Ichigo couldn’t move on, he still wanted to be a shinigami, he still wanted his old life back and that’s when she came back to him, when she knew she could make him happy again by giving him his powers back, when they were equal again. when she could help him again, when she was sure he would be able to see/feel her again Bleach is a shoujo
