CSI Spring Arts Experience
CSI Spring Arts Experience
The College of Southern Idaho is putting out a call to visual artists for the CSI Spring Arts Experience, which will take place on the CSI campus Saturday, May 6 from 12 – 5 p.m. All spots will be offered free of charge to the artists.
Artists of every medium are sought to sell and display their work. Because the goal of the Arts Experience is to be an immersive arts experience for the artists and the community, artists are also asked, if possible, to provide a live demonstration of their art and, ideally, to provide the community with hands-on arts lessons or projects during the day, although neither is necessary if they would like to simply be a part of the art fair.
The CSI Fine Arts Experience will feature visual and performing artists from around the valley and experiences in visual arts, dance, theater, and music. The Arts Fair portion of the Experience will feature live demonstrations, exhibitions, and items for sale from local artists in a wide variety of mediums. There will be a special Children’s Corner, a mini arts experience for the little ones featuring a clap, dance, and sing along with Mr. Don followed, special arts projects, play-dough fun, movement and games, cookies, and a music wall.  Adults and older kids can drop in for free hands-on visual arts and dance and listen to a great lineup of live music while they grab a bite to eat.
Interested artists are asked to complete and return the visual artist application found at http://fineartscenter.csi.edu/SpringArtsExperience or email Camille Barigar at [email protected], or call 732-6288.
