Sketches for a King, who’s inspired by a peacock. I don’t like number one, but I always like to keep all the designs I made on sheets like this, weather I like them or not.
He’s suppose to look feminine and really pretty btw - He will eventually cut his hair and wear different clothes, so it is dimmed down a lot, but he keeps his big eyes and long lashes etc - I also like the idea of the royal family being born with partly gold hair 🤔

Hi! I just found you via your Cats art and I gotta say I absolutely love it. You capture the characters with a sort of elegance that the live action movie could never. I had a question, though! I was wondering what program you use, and what brushes you use for the line art and colouring. I really love the textured styles of art but have really struggled to find brushes I liked.
Hello and thank you so much for your message, it's incredibly sweet of you!
For my drawings I usually go between traditional and digital, because all of my lineart is basically scanned pencil with a little bit of fine tuning, but I do all of the colouring in Photoshop with couple of brushes. Some of them were pre-packed with program itself, but my main ones were picked from various free brush packs a long time ago (I think most of them were from deviant art, a lot of cool artists used to publish a bunch of them). I can't remember any specific packs, unfortunately, but I'm pretty sure that you can achieve the same result by picking a hard brush with a little bit of texture.
I'm pinning a picture of all the brushes that I used for this picture as an example, maybe you can seek for something similar ^^ And don't be afraid to try different stuff! There's a tons of ways to express texture in your drawing, maybe something could fit your style even better.

What’s your process on character design? How do you design a character? Where do you start and what inspires you?
I usually start by compiling references ! Very rarely do I design a character without references somewhere on the canvas. I try to think about what this character’s goals and motives are and how I can incorporate this into their shape language. Where they live, what kind of clothes they’d wear. I think it’s important to understand who you’re drawing before you start drawing them. But that’s just me !
And I’m inspired by tons of things ! The most prevalent being animals, music, literature and, of course, film. Any one of these things can fill me with all the inspiration I need to start a project.
Music is probably what I’m driven by most. I’m always listening to music. Always.
