CALLING ALL INUKAG FANS: INUKAG WEEK IS BACK FOR ITS 9TH EDITION!
The 2024 edition of #INUKAGWEEK; will start on July 1st and end on July 7!
This event is meant to celebrate the relationship between our beloved Inuyasha and Kagome ❤️

We're back for our second annual Kikyo Weekend, dedicated to celebrating our tragic and elegant priestess.
This event will take place May 3rd - 5th.
The prompts for this year's 2024 event will be:
May 3rd: Rouge
Historically, rouge has been a color associated with youth and vigor, communicating innocence, acquiescence, and vitality; good luck and happiness; innocence of youth.
May 4th: Bow and Arrow
The bow and arrow are a reflection of life's journey, signifying direction, personal growth, and the relentless pursuit of goals; it symbolizes moving forward, new adventures, and curiosity; struggle and triumph.
May 5th: White Ribbon
White ribbons often show a need for simplicity and purity in life, especially since its often tied to trying to wipe out past trauma and cutting ties with the past; for someone who likes the job well done, who doesn't like clutter; purity of the soul.
These prompts are not required, but are there to assist in the creative process. Please feel free to submit anything related to Kikyo during this weekend. We'd love to see it!

Inuyasha Pride Month 2024
Hello, Inuyasha fandom! We're coming for June once again, and this year, we've abolished daily prompts, and opted for themed weeks to kick start the fun; for further information, click 'Keep reading'! We hope you'll join us this year in celebrating LGBTQ+ creators within the Inuyasha universe!
When the time comes, tag us @inuyashapridemonth here on Tumblr, and use the hashtag #inuyashapridemonth2024, so we can share your creations!
Week 1 – Identities
This week is all about letting your character's flags fly - or not, depending on how you approach it. This week is about choosing your own labels, so paint your characters however you see fit. Artists: for a plethora of pride flag colour codes, click here.
Week 2 – M/M
Let's hear it for the boys! Also known as MLM or Slash, this week is for shipping the lads of the series.
Week 3 – F/F
Girls, they run the world! Also known as WLW or Femslash, this week is for shipping the gals of the series.
Week 4 – Characters
Finally, we have characters. This week is to celebrate your characters as individuals; if you missed your chance to play with your fave ace, this is their time to shine!
Important Note: For M/M and F/F weeks, characters that identify as male/female or NB are more than welcome, e.g. Inuyasha x trans!Kagome are perfect for M/M week.

Inu-spiration Bang: July 7, 2024

Sign-Ups Begin March 15th
Hi everyone! We are very pleased to announce that our first inu-spiration event of 2024 will be a Tanabata bang!
Tanabata, or, "evening of the seventh," is a star festival held yearly in Japan. It celebrates the meeting of the dieties Orihime and Hikoboshi, whose stars are kept separate in the skies, and can only meet once per year. While the festivities can take place in July and August (often overlapping with Obon), the start of the festival is July 7. In honor of the festival, we hope you will join us for our sixth (!) Inu-spiration bang!
Sign-ups for the bang will begin March 15th and run through April 1st. It will be a traditional bang, meaning that artists will either draw to the story that a writer conceives, or the two will collaborate on the concept.

It's the start of the 1st Term 2024 Inuyasha Fandom Awards!
We hope everyone has had an amazing holiday season! A huge shout-out to everyone who participated last term and made it such a huge success! We look forward to all of the amazing new fanfiction and fanart to be shared with this beautiful community!
A special thank you goes out to @elevenharbor for donating her time and talent to creating banners for everyone! (If you have not received your award banner for last term, please reach out to one of the mods asap!)
At the end of last term, the voting form also included the possibilities of the Roulette Categories for this term, and we have taken the top choices for both Fanart and Fanfiction:
The Fanfiction Roulette Category for this term will be Best Plot Twist. This is defined as: A sudden reveal in the storyline that was unexpected or clever in nature. Does not necessarily need to have "shock" value.
The Fanart Roulette Category for this term will be Best Fluff Artwork. This is defined as: Artwork depicting a positive and happy moment. Generally includes cheerful themes.
As a reminder, we have extended the time between the Nomination and Voting Period, as well as extended the Voting Period, in order to give readers and viewers the chance to appreciate all the works nominated. We hope the added timeframe creates a more enjoyable experience!
