Sakura never cut off the friendship with Ino over Sasuke. Their friendship wasn't cut off in the first place, they simply became rivals.

The reason Sakura brought the rivalry thingy up was because she wanted to step out of Ino's shadow. She wanted to show her that she didn’t need her to get by, she wanted to show her she isn't "just a bud" anymore.

She wanted her acknowledgment and to be better than her just like Ino wanted to be better than Sakura so she proposes a rival-ship to which Ino agrees.

She knew that as long as things stayed like that, she would never be able to grow as a person and develop hence she would never be as strong as Ino, let alone surpass her.

Everyone's so quick to point the finger at Sakura for "breaking off the friendship over a boy" but they never give shit to Ino for being the first to act distant and arrogant, reminding Sakura how she was basically still in her shadow.

Sakura made herself clear, she no longer wants to be Ino's little tag-along and Ino herself made it clear that she understood why Sakura did what she did.

Sasuke was never the reason, he was just a little push. Sakura and Ino continued to be friends as well as rivals.
