Regeneration Makoto AU where his life-saving good luck is taken to the extreme, so much so that if he's taken harm (punched, shot, crushed, decapitated, you name it . . . ), he'll revive quickly to perfection, not even a bruise or scar on him anywhere.

Mondo punches Makoto's face when that goody-two-shoes interferes in his argument with Byakuya. Even sent him flying straight towards the wall. Realizing his folly, Mondo rushes to check up on him and . . . Makoto's face looks perfectly fine! Except for him being unconscious, and a little blood trickling under his nose, and even then, that nosebleed comes to a stop soon.

Too soon, perhaps . . . No bruise on his face or body, even though he thumped hard against the wall. Mondo is quite shocked.

The mastermind in disguise actually succeeds stabbing Makoto, and before they could flee, they are caught by Kyoko. Kyoko spots the bloodstained knife in the mastermind's hand and wrestles with them, but they break free and run. Kyoko bolts into Makoto's room and . . . he's standing upright, just gawking at the bloodstain on his hoodie. A worried Kyoko asks him to lift his hoodie up a little, to which Makoto obliges (with a blush) and lo! There's no stab mark on his stomach!

Kyoko tries inquiring about it with him, but Makoto seems . . . uncooperative.

Then comes his execution. Kyoko travels to the dumps and finds Makoto there, sleeping on the ground. She examines his breathing. Good, he seems alright. But before waking him up, Kyoko wants to check something. She approaches the area where Makoto's supposed to have landed after his fall, and to her great horror, she finds a bloody mess all over, dirtying a desk and chair nearby. The same desk and chair that fell with Makoto!

Feeling her guilt overwhelm her, Kyoko leaves the area and returns to Makoto, who wakes up and greets her with a smile.

Kyoko smiles back. She's just relieved that he's alive and well, ignoring the abnormality behind it all. Yeah, he's alive . . . Nothing to worry about. Nothing abnormal at all. Everything's fine.
