between tiktok and youtube slop, kids these days are subjected to possibly one of the worst media diets in the history of mankind. unlike me who was raised on the same 10 commercials for corn syrup products cycling between variety shows, as nature intended

it's funny when people get up in arms about litigating the distinciton between top/bottom and dom/sub and especially when the conflation is framed as, like, A Fanfic Thing and/or Cishets Misunderstanding Queer Terminology, because even setting aside the prescriptivism it's like. soo many lgbt people in soo many situations already just use "sub" to mean "sexual recipient" independent of kink/bdsm and allow context to fill in the blanks. what is the Point

for the most part when i was a kid i was generally able to understand idioms from context, or at least understand the logic when they were explained to me--like "getting under my skin" = "being irritating/unpleasant", that tracks yknow? but there were a few that i could never get my head around, like for example "Eat Your Heart Out". the fuck is that lol

it would be funny if a barrister served coffee to their client. or if a barista needed to be admitted to the bar and have a juris doctor. these are the things i think about sometimes, and feel motivated to share.

it really is funny how similar barrister and barista sound. i guess you just can't "get" it unless you have a really well developed sense of humor, and are smart, and stacked/hung/both.

it's funny how sf5 caught flack for the characters having large hands/feet and then sf6 was like "ok so 40% of each character's body weight is going to be concentrated in the forearms"
