hi honeys! i know flu season is at its peak, and lots of us are feeling the effects, so i thought i’d make an agere-friendly post about it. feeling sick can make your brain all fuzzy in a not-so-fun way. hopefully this post is easy to follow!
fever
keep cool! i know you may be feeling chilly, but try not to bundle up too much. your body is trying to keep your temperature stable. curl up with a sheet instead of a big comforter, and don’t turn the heat up too high.
a cold press or bean bag is also great! not only does it keep your temperature down, but it also helps if you’re feeling sore.
headache
like i said, a cold press is amazing for pain. especially headaches! on the other hand, a warm compress can also be helpful behind your eyes + sinuses.
keep your area dark and quiet if you can. block out the lights, maybe tie a cloth over your eyes. bonus if the cloth is slightly damp with cool water!
over-the-counter medicine is good, too. ibuprofen and tylenol work great. make sure to pay close attention to the instructions!
a nice smell might also help with giving you something to focus on besides the pain. if you have some gentle, nice-smelling stuff to keep on hand, that would be great! lavender, coffee, mint, anything you like.
sore throat
keep hydrated, of course! drink lots of water and warm tea. good teas to drink when not feeling well are ginger, chamomile, lemongrass, peppermint, and hibiscus (+ others ofc). bonus: add honey! it’s sweet and yummy, and coats your throat to make it hurt less.
if you have a humidifier, those work great to stop your throat from getting dry! some also allow you to put essential oils in them for some nice scent therapy.
general advice
water! staying hydrated is very very important, my loves. it helps your body and brain feel better especially when you’re sick! it’ll prevent any nasty dehydration headaches or dry throat.
eat something small. crackers, soup, even a piece of bread. i know you probably aren’t hungry, because your body is focusing on getting rid of those icky germs making you sick, so don’t try to force a big meal. but keeping something nearby to have a quick bite is a good idea. my personal go-to is granola bars!
try to get up and moving a little bit. do some stretching, or walk around and move those legs a little bit. it’ll prevent you getting super sore from laying in bed and might help you feel better mentally. just something small! even sitting up and stretching your arms is better than nothing, my darling.
lots of rest! being sick makes most of us sleepy, but i know you might have things to do during the day. if that is the case, be careful! don’t overwork yourself or you’ll stay sick for longer. give yourself some grace. be kind to that body of yours!
and remember!
something is better than nothing. we’re all just trying our best, especially when not feeling good. don’t stress about not getting things done or sleeping too much. all you need to do is focus on getting better.

its okay to call your cg mommy or daddy, using words that others have sexualized does not inherently mean youre sexualizing it too. youre still allowed to use those words.
its okay to act childish and be into "things for kids", your interests are yours no one can dictate or decide that for you.
its okay to carry a stuffy around wherever you go, theyre your little buddies they love going on adventures with you!
its okay if you forget to do a task because youre regressed, you can try again later
its okay if you feel too little to do something right now, you can save it for when youre ready
its okay to regress a lot, if it makes you happy then its working
its okay if you only regress a little, you dont have to regress for consistent times
its okay if you dont do things other regressors do, your way is for you
its okay if you only ever age/pet dream
its okay if you only age/pet regress
its okay if you dont have or dont want a cg
its okay if you arent a cg yourself
its okay if things scare you especially when youre little
its okay if youre sensitive
its okay if you have disorders and/ore disabilities and its okay if they affect your regression.
youre little/pet space is your own, each of us are unique and have different experiences, you do what works for you and makes you feel comfortable because you being comfy and happy is important /g

To any religious or spiritual regressors:
You can still do religious and spiritual things while regressed if you want to. But you can also avoid certain practices while regressed if it feels too difficult to handle or just doesn’t interest little you.
If you believe in a higher power, please know that that higher power loves you when you’re regressed and is going to protect you. They’re not going to judge you for regressing or be upset if you don’t do certain things while regressed. They understand your regression, and they love you no matter what.
It’s okay if little you has different beliefs and practices than big you. It’s okay if you aren’t sure what you believe or want to practice right now. It’s okay to have questions or be confused.
Your safe space should always be safe for you. If that means setting aside religion and/or spirituality when regressing, that’s completely okay. If it means embracing certain beliefs you’re not as sure about when big, that’s okay too.
