Rare illnesses suck...

A person I care about has an illness that requires twice daily injections of a synthetic hormone to survive.  Since 2010, this drug has been pretty much constantly in a state of shortage, which mean filling the damn prescriptions can take months. 

Imagine the stress of wondering if your prescription will miraculously get filled or if you’ll be spending the next week in the hospital (or the ICU), every month for years.

Also, how do you “invent” golden retrievers? Perhaps you mean bred, which is not so much invent as opposed to “accidentally create while mashing two things together”.

This article is about an excerpt from an extended interview of a comedian about his satirical character mocking the media’s lazy superficiality. That’s 6 degrees of circular meta, that I’m comment on for a 7th degree. Does anyone really like that better than reading/viewing (and maybe discussing) the character mocking the media? Or does the base mockery depend on us participating in the many layers of meta? Because the lazy superficiality seems like it does.

As far as I know this isn't quite accurate. The evolutionary cause of homosexuality is still a puzzle. There are some reasons proposed, including the one mentioned here, but it's not as clear cut as this says (which claims group evolution, which isn't very likely anyway).
