on canon characters and headcanons

     My headcanons for my character are mine. Some of my headcanons for my character are based around canon and were probably what the author intended me to take from it. Some of my headcanons may completely and/or blatantly ignore canon. Some might just be there because I like them.

I’m not saying you have to agree with all my headcanons.

     But you do have to keep in mind that they will be a part of how I play my muse. Please respect them, even if your opinions differ.

+ooc; as I’m exchanging everything over to the new account, i am thinking about making a proper mains list; I already have a few people in mind. Just so you are aware, I am new to the mains list thing since I never really understand it; that being said I will main multiples of the same character for mains if only because i follow these RPers and I enjoy everyone’s iteration of it. The mains list doesn’t HAVE to be mutual, it’s just people I go to for interactions on my end.

Even though DR OCs are a special case-- at least on my blog I havent had repeats I think I will also include them via talent rather than person, if that makes sense.

I will not practice exclusives. I never liked it, and felt like it crossed off too many relationships even if I ended up only RPing with that one person’s character. I know other RPers have their reasons but I just never really understood it, so I won’t be doing it.

+.ooc; sometimes I worry about my OC being too similar to cele.stia, but then I remember how Fu.kawa, Pe.ko, and Ma.ki are INCREDIBLY similar and even the talent development plan acknowledged the Fu.kawa, Pe.ko, and Tsum.gi’s similarity in appearance.

Kodaka seems to rely on a formula for his characters, and fills in the blanks to make them unique. So, I suppose you can take this is a positivity post-- if your Danganronpa OC is similar to a canon character don’t beat yourself over it. Even the canon characters are similar to each other-- what matters is your interpretation of that formula, and having fun with it.
