our forever
summary: while you and austin are at a wedding, the two of you get to talking about your future with each other.
“babe, are you ready to go?” you called from the bottom of the stairs.
“just a sec!” austin called from his bedroom.
the two of you were headed out of town for the weekend, on your way to celebrate some friends of yours who were getting married.
austin finally made his way downstairs, pressing a kiss to your lips as he walked past you. you followed him out to your car and loaded the bags into the trunk of the care.
“alright, let's the road. id like for us to avoid traffic, if we can.” you said as you sat down in your seat. after a little bit of driving, you stopped to get a quick breakfast, then made your way to the hotel.
once you finally got to the hotel, you checked in and went up to your room, setting your bags down and stretching out on the bed.
“mmm, it feels good to finally be here and out of the car.” you sighed.
“lets find something to eat. im starving.” austin said as he grabbed the directory. once you decided on a restaurant, the both of you freshened up and headed out.
the next night was the wedding and you were all in the room getting ready, music blasting and clothes already strewn all over the place.
“why did you bring two dresses?” austin asked you.
“you’ve known me for how long and still don’t know that i like to have options?” you teased.
“youre right,” he said with a giggle as he looked over the dresses you had laid out. “i dont know how much my opinion will influence your decision, but the blue one looks really good on you.” you smiled up at him and he pressed a kiss to your cheek before walking back to the bathroom.
once you both were dressed and made up, you made your way down to the hotel ballroom for the ceremony.
“oh my goodness, this is beautiful.” you said to austin as you walked around for a bit. you made your way to the photo op area, and begak taking pictures of and with each other. once you were done, you took your seats and posted some of the pictures while you waited for the ceremony to start.
“we look really good in these.” austin said, swiping through the photo set you posted.
“we look good in every picture we take.” you said with a smile.
“youre not wrong.” he laughed.
the ceremony finally started and it was beautiful, everyone cheering for the happy couple as the shared their i dos. luckily for everyone, the reception was in the next ballroom over, so you didn’t have to go too far. you decided on a table close to the bar and the buffet for easy access to food and drinks all night.
after the couple dances, and the food was served, the dance floor was open for everyone to dance.
“awe, babe. i love this song. lets dance.” you said as you pulled austin up from his chair and led him to the dance floor. it was a slow song, so you made yourself comfortable in his arms. he held you tight against his chest and you swayed back and forth to the music.
being in such a romantic setting, you couldn’t help but feel extra lovey towards austin, and you had been all day. you could tell that he was feeling the same, as there was a gleam in his eye that was brighter than it normally was.
“i love you so much.” he said softly as the song ended.
“i love you more.” you said, smiling up at him.
“i know this is probably just because of the atmosphere and stuff, but im really so grateful for you and your companionship. i feel so lucky that i get to call you my girlfriend.” he said, hugging you tight.
“and i feel so lucky that i get to call you my boyfriend. you make me happier than i can even explain. i cant even remember life before i met you, and i dont want to imagine life without you.” you said.
“i dont either. i cant wait to marry you.” he said, taking you by surprise.
“what did you just say?” you asked, looking up at him.
“that i can't wait to marry you.” he repeated.
“you wanna marry me?” you asked, and he nodded.
“of course i do. you're my favorite girl in the whole world. i think about marrying you all the time, how our wedding will look, where it will be, our life together as husband and wife.”
“why have you never told me about this?” you asked, smiling up at him.
“i dont know. i just liked keeping the fantasy to myself, mostly because i didnt want to freak you out. its grown a lot more recently, though. sometimes we get married on the beach, sometimes we get married in a nice ballroom like this. sometimes we live in an apartment in the city, other times he live in a nice house in the suburbs.” he explained.
“kids or pets?” you asked, looking up at him.
“one or the other. sometimes both. id like kids, but ultimately thats up to you.”
“that sounds like a perfect fantasy, any and all of those options. as long as i have you by my side, id like to make any of those a reality.”
“yeah?” he asked, smiling down at you, and you nodded, resting your head back against his chest.
“i've never really had a dream wedding, or dream anything really, but i've got you now. you're my dream man and getting to spend my life with you sounds perfect.”
“i love you.” austin said, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“i love you.” you said, hugging him tight. you continued dancing, holding each other close as the song came to an end.

breakfast
summary: you wake up early one morning to surprise austin with breakfast when he comes home.
being with austin, especially over the last few years, you’d grown to expect the most uncommon work schedules. especially now that he was gaining more status and becoming more popular, you’d gotten used to the fact that your schedules were hardly ever the same. you worked your regular nine-to-five, but his filming schedules changed from project to project, and even within a single project. but the two of you always made it a point to carve out time for just each other.
with his current project, he was currently on night shoots, and you were not enjoying it in the slightest. your schedules were the exact opposite, him leaving when you’d get home from work, and vice versa. it was the most drastic difference you’d ever had in your schedules, and it was the hardest adjustment you had to make.
“it’s gonna be later than usual, so i don’t think i’m gonna get to see you before you leave for work.” austin said to you over facetime. he was taking a break in his trailer, and you’d just finished dinner and were watching a show in the living room.
“okay.” you sighed, a pout pulling on your lips.
“i’m sorry, hon.” he said, sadness filling his eyes.
“oh, you don’t have to be sorry. you’re a superstar now and i have to get used to sharing you more with the world.” you teased.
“not too much sharing! i’m still all yours.” he said with a smile. you and him talked for a little bit more before he had to get back to work. you wished each other good night, shared your i love yous, and hung up. you stayed up for a little while longer, watching a few more episodes of your show before turning in for the night.
the rest of the week went by, and it was now friday evening. you were getting home from work just as austin was leaving, the two of you sharing quick good byes before he had to leave. you showered and began to unwind from the day, reheating leftovers from the previous night for dinner and turning on your show. you were glad it was the end of the week, and you didn’t have to worry about work for the next few days. while austin was gone, he text you periodically when he had breaks, and you spoke on the phone during his lunch break.
“fortunately, i have no scenes to shoot tomorrow. i finally have an off day, and i get to be all yours.” he said with a smile.
“oh thats perfect. i can’t wait to keep you to myself.” you laughed. you talked for a little while before he had to film his next scene. you went to bed early that night, tired from the long work week you’d had. the next morning, you woke up early, just before the time you expected austin to get home. you freshened up a bit, quickly washing your face to help you wake up, before making your way down to the kitchen.
you began preparing breakfast, a large spread of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and various fruits. you finished cooking just as you heard austin’s car pull into the driveway. you watched from the kitchen window as he made his way up the drive way. you poured him a cup of juice and met him at the door.
“good morning.” you said softly as he stepped inside.
“morning!” he said excitedly. “what are you doing up so early?” he asked, taking a sip of his juice.
“i wanted to have breakfast with you. we’ve been spending so much time apart these past few weeks, and i just wanted to have a meal with you.” you said. he slid his shoes off and followed you into the kitchen. you had the food set up on the counter and you made your plates before moving to the table.
you sat down and began eating, soft conversation ensuing. the two of you enjoyed your quiet morning with each other; he’d told you more about the scenes he’d filmed that day, and you shared some stories about work. the two of you ended up spending a good time eating breakfast together. you were finally getting to spend quality time with each other. it was something that you both needed, and something you missed more than you realized.
once you finished eating, you and austin cleaned up the kitchen. once you were done, the two of you moved to your room, settling into bed.
“mmm, i’ve never been excited to sleep.” austin said as he stretched out. you climbed into bed next to him and rubbed his back.
“sleep, my sweet. you deserve the rest.” you said softly. you settled into your spot and austin’s arms found their way around your waist. he held you tight and nuzzled his chin into your neck.
“i love you.” he said softly, pressing a kiss to your neck.
“i love you.” you repeated, squeezing his hand. the two of you slowly drifted off to sleep. you slept for most of the morning and into the afternoon. sleeping with each other finally allowed the two of you to sleep more comfortably than you had in weeks. it was perfect, and you couldn’t have been happier.

mother's day
summary: celebrating your first mother's day with austin and your baby.
requested by anonymous. s/n: "son's name"
becoming a mom changed the course of your life in more ways than you could have never imagined. your baby boy was the most beautiful baby in the world, and every time you looked at him, you saw the love of your life in his face. austin’s genes were much stronger than yours, and your baby was his spitting image. he had the same blue eyes, and the same curly blonde hair, but you loved it. you were beyond grateful to have them in your life. you and austin quickly fell into routine after your baby was born, and everything was perfect.
your first mother’s day was coming up, and you told austin that all you wanted was lazy day at home with your boys. of course austin, being the loving husband he was, was more than happy to oblige. you woke up late that morning, at almost 11AM. you reached out for austin, but found the bed empty next to you. you got out of bed and heard the television sounding from the living room. you walked out to the living room and found austin asleep on he couch, and your baby sleeping on his chest. you heard swelled at the sight, and you quietly moved over to the couch.
“austin.” you whispered, gently sitting on the couch next to him.
“hey. good morning baby.” he said, sleep heavy in his voice.
“what are you doing out here?” you asked, running your fingers through his hair.
“i wanted to let you sleep in and have the bed to yourself. it’s your day, and i just wanted you to be comfortable.” he said, sitting up slowly as to not wake the baby.
“have you been out here long?” you asked him.
“probably just a couple of hours. s/n woke up around nine, i changed him, fed him breakfast, and we’ve been out here since. he’s only been asleep about thirty minutes.”
“what about you? have you eaten breakfast?” you asked him, and he shook his head. “alright, well i’ll get something together for us.”
“nope!” austin said, suddenly fully awake. “you take him, and i’ll take care of breakfast. today is your day, and i will be taking care of you.” he said, gently passing you the baby and moving towards the kitchen.
the rest of the day, austin was at your beck and call, getting you anything you could have possibly needed or wanted. truthfully, it felt like he was doing too much for you, but he made sure you knew that he didn’t mind.
you and austin sat on the couch eating breakfast together, watching whatever sitcom he had playing on the tv. you weren’t paying much attention to it, the both of you slowly starting to fall back asleep. the three of you napped on and off on the couch all day. every time your son would wake up or squawk, austin would immediately jump into action, taking care of him so you could stay asleep.
later that night, as the night was ending and you were getting ready for bed. austin put the baby down for bed, and you were taking a bath. austin had bought you a number of different additives as a push present, an idea to help you pamper yourself after your long pregnancy journey. you were using the last of your bath bombs, and had candles lit around the rim of the tub. you were starting to fall asleep, when you heard austin walk into the bathroom.
“i love that he’s so easy to put to sleep.” austin chuckled as he sat down at the side of the tub.
“he gets that from me,” you laughed. “i literally fall asleep anywhere.”
“so, i know you said you didn’t want anything, but i got you a gift anyway. but i’ll let you finish your bath before i give it to you.” he said, pressing a kiss to your forehead before walking back out into the bedroom.
once you finished your bath, you dressed in your pajamas, and met austin back in the bedroom. he was laying in bed, and a small jewelry box was sitting on your pillow. you climbed into bed, and austin turned his attention to you.
“i had an idea for this while we were in the hospital after s/n was born. i remember sitting there and watching you hold him and thinking about how we were fully a family. i wanted to get you something that symbolized that, and have been working with a personal jeweler to get it perfect.
“a personal jeweler?” you asked raising a brow at him.
“one of the best ones i could find. i hope you like it.” he said, flipping the box open. inside sat a silver necklace of an infinity symbol, three gem stones in a line down the middle where it crossed - austin’s, yours, and your son’s birthstone.
“oh my god! this is beautiful!” you said through tears. you leaned over and pressed a soft kiss to austin’s lips before marveling at the necklace in your hands again. he pulled you into his arms and hugged you tight.
“i know the stones are kinda small, but i did that for a reason. i know it’s very early for us to be thinking about this, but if and when we have more kids, there’s enough room for more stones to be added.” he said, squeezing your shoulder.
“i love that.” you said, smiling at him. he pressed another kiss to your lips before taking the necklace from you and clasping it around your neck.
“i’m glad you like it.” austin said as you turned to face him.
“i love it.” you emphasized. “thank you honey.” you said, kissing him again.
the two of you finally laid down for bed, falling asleep in each other’s arms. your first mother’s day was perfect, and exactly what you wanted; a wonderful lazy day with your boys.

birthday boy
summary: celebrating austin’s birthday!
Tumblr media
“hey, baby. how much longer are you gonna be out?” you asked austin when he answered your phone call.
“um, maybe about another hour or so? hopefully less.” he said to you. he’d been out all morning at meetings with his agents and manager about some upcoming projects he was part of.
“yes, hopefully. i just hate that you’re working on your birthday.” you sighed.
“i know, me too. but ill be home sooner than you’ll even realize.” he said with a soft laugh.
“okay, fine. i guess ill just see you when you get here.” you said, feigning sadness. you heard austin huff a laugh, and you exchanged your goodbyes before you hung up. you turned to the group gathered in your dining room. “alright everyone, we've got about two hours to finish setting up!”
austin told you he didn’t want a huge thing for his birthday, but you knew you had to give him something. you invited his sister and some of his closest friends over just for dinner at your house. you had the meal catered from his favorite restaurant and had all the courses set in the kitchen, buffet style. the table was set, people were mingling and austin was almost home.
“alright, austins almost here. im gonna meet him in the driveway and lead him in.” you said as everyone gathered around the table. you poured him a glass of wine and stepped outside just as he was pulling up.
“hey baby.” you said, walking up to him. you pulled him in for a quick kiss, and handed him the glass of wine. “you left so early this morning, i havent even had the chance to wish you a proper happy birthday.” you said, kissing him again. “happy birthday, my love.”
“mmm, thank you.” he said, smiling down at you. he took the wine glass from you, taking a big swig. you took his hand in yours and led him into the house.
“so, i've already taken care of dinner. all you have to do now is come in and enjoy.” you said as you walked back through the door. you lead him to the dining room, everyone cheering “happy birthday” as he walked through the door.
“oh woah! thank yall so much!” he gave the table a once over, then turned to you and smiled. “you did all this?” he asked and you nodded.
“happy birthday!” you smiled.
“i love you so much.” he said, pulling you in for a kiss.
you and austin moved to take your seats and started dinner. conversation quickly ensued, everyone sharing their favorite memories of austin. the meal was lovely and you could tell that austin was enjoying himself and being with all his favorite people.
later that evening, after dinner, you and austin were finishing cleaning after everyone left.
“just enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow.” austin said as he closed the refrigerator. he turned around to face you, a wide smile on his face. he stepped closer to you and pulled you into a hug. “i still cant believe you did all this for me.” he said softly.
“i know you said you didn't want a huge party or anything, but i couldn't just let your birthday pass and not do anything.” you said, wrapping your arms around his waist.
“it was perfect. i was so glad to see everyone and the meal was wonderful. i enjoyed this night so much, so thank you. for everything.” he said, pressing a kiss to your lips.
“you don’t have to thank me. you deserve to be celebrated.”
“i love you.” he said, kissing you again. the two of you made your way to your bedroom, beginning to wind down for the night.
“dont get too comfortable. i have one more surprise for you." you said to austin as he sat up in bed. you walked into your closet, getting his surprise ready.
“oh, you didnt have to get me anything.” you heard austin call.
“of course i did! it’s your birthday, silly.” you called back. you finished getting his surprise ready, which was you. you bought a lingerie set that accentuated your curves, complimented your skin tone, and made every inch of your body look perfect. you put the robe on that came with it, and loosely tied it around your waist, draping it off your shoulders.
"happy birthday." you said softly, leaning against the door frame after you stepped out.
"oh my god." austin said, staring at you dumbfounded. "this has definitely topped every gift you have ever given me.”
“ever?” you teased, moving closer to him.
“i think this is the greatest gift i've ever gotten in my entire life.” he said, placing his hands on your hips and pulling you closer to him. you stood in between his legs, his eyes level with your chest. you moved your arms slightly, just enough for your breasts to begin spilling out of the top of your bra. you watched his eyes widen as he swallowed hard. “my god.” he said softly, barely audible.
“well, what are you waiting for? why dont you unwrap your gift.” you said with a smirk. you watched as his fingers quickly untied the belt of the robe and you let it fall off your shoulders. you pushed him to lay down on the bed and began working his belt and pants off as he slipped his shirt over his head. you straddled his lap, pressing kisses up his stomach and chest, before meeting his lips again.
“best birthday ever.” he said with a smirk. his hands rested gently on your either side of your face as his thumbs rubbed across your cheeks.
“just wait until i'm finished with you.”

more "i love yous"
summary: when austin accepts a long distance job, without talking to you about it, an unfortunate spat breaks out.
requested by anonymous.
you were sitting down to lunch one afternoon, taking a break from the errands you’d been running all morning. you met up with a friend at a nearby restaurant, feeling good to finally sit down after being on your feet for the last few hours.
conversation quickly ensued once your friend met you, and once you placed your orders. after a while, the mood took a sharp turn.
“hey, so i heard about austin’s new project! working on location in chicago for this new film trilogy, that’s so cool.” they said to you. unfortunately to you, you had no idea what they were talking about.
“yeah, it is! im excited for him.” you lied through your teeth. you wanted to avoid any awkwardness during this lunch. you saved your anger and upset for when you saw him.
you and your friend ended up spending a few of hours at the restaurant, enjoying your food, drinks, and each other’s company.
later that evening, you avoided going home for as long as you could. you knew that austin had come over to your place, but you were so angry that he hadn’t let you in on a very important piece of information, you wish he had just stayed home.
you sat in your driveway, calming yourself down as much as possible before going inside. austin’s car was parked next to yours, so you knew he was waiting for you to come home.
you walked in the door, through the foyer, and to the kitchen. austin was sitting at the island, talking on his phone. he smiled at you, and you forced one back before turning away from him. you listened as he spoke, the sound of his voice causing you to wince at every syllable that left his mouth.
“yeah, i can do that. i’ll be there thursday morning.” he spoke into the phone. it sounded like he was planning something that he was probably going to forget to mention to you.
you stood against the counter, arms folded across your chest, staring at austin while you waited for him to finish his phone call. he locked eyes with you, and you watched his demeanor change. he sat up straight and you watched his muscles tense.
“hey, i’m gonna let you go. just text me the details.” he said before wishing whoever he was talking to a good night. he hung up the phone and set it down on the island before moving his attention back to you. “how was your day?” he asked softly.
“oh, just great. i got all my stuff done this morning, then had lunch with (F/N). you know, funnily enough, they told me an interesting piece of news about you that i hadn’t heard.” you said, your voice raising as you reached the end of your sentence.
“oh yeah? what’s that?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“you took a job on a project based in chicago?” you asked. you watched as austin’s eyes widened. “yeah, when were you planning on letting me in on your great news?”
“i didn’t think it would actually happen. i wasn’t going to tell you until it was a for sure thing.” he said softly, avoiding your gaze.
“you didn’t think that maybe we should’ve talked about it beforehand, so we could figure out what to do if you did get the job? were you even going to tell me you were leaving, or was i just supposed to just try and make plans with you, only for you to decline and tell me that you were across the country?” you asked.
“i was going to tell you! i wanted to wait until i had all my ducks in a row until i did.”
“when do you leave?” you asked.
“next thursday. that was the phone call i was just on.” he said.
“next thursday? seems like your ducks were pretty much all in a row! i’d say it’s too late for me to take time off of work. but since you probably didn’t want me to go with you anyway, i guess that doesn’t matter.” you said.
“y/n, don’t say that.”
“say what? it must be true considering you didn’t even think to tell me about your leaving until a week before you’re supposed to go.” you spat. you turned to leave the kitchen, and heard austin get up from the island.
“y/n, wait.” you heard his voice call behind you. you rushed into your bedroom, but he caught up to you. he braced his arm across the door frame, blocking the entrance to your room.
"move." you said, attempting to push him out of the way.
"no, let's talk about this! let me explain myself.
“i’m done talking. i don’t want to hear anymore.” you said, finally pushing past him.
"y/n, please." he pouted, just before you slammed the door behind him. you pressed your back against the door, and slid down it, crying into your hands as you sat on the floor.
"go. away." you shoulder after austin's last plea for you to open the door.
you heard him move from the door, and you moved to your bed. you sat in silence for a while, not wanting to move. you laid down and stared up at the ceiling, thoughts racing around your brain. once your thoughts became too much to handle, you grabbed your phone off the nightstand and tapped your mom’s profile to call her.
“hey sweetie.” she said when she answered.
“hey mama.” you said quietly, a lump still prominent in your throat.
“uh oh, what’s wrong?” she asked you. you immediately started ranting to her about your situation with austin, and how you were feeling about it.
“i know we haven’t been together that long, but am i crazy for thinking he should’ve at least told me? more than a week before he hopped on a plane and traveled all the way across the country?” you asked her.
“no, you’re not crazy for thinking that. but maybe he thought that you wouldn’t have wanted to come anyway. like you said, you haven’t been together that long. maybe he doesn’t think that you’re ready to live on location with him just yet.”
“maybe.” you said softly.
“i really don’t think that he left you out of this to slight you. he cares about you, and i know you care about him too. but you get so hot headed sometimes, and you jump to expect the worst of people. even when they don’t have bad intentions.”
“i know.” you sighed. “i’m glad we talked, though. you always know what to say when i need to hear them the most.” you said. you thanked her and wished her a good night before hanging up.
you stood from your bed and took a deep breath before leaving your room. you opened the door and saw austin sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall right outside. he looked up at you when he heard the door open, sadness heavy in his eyes.
“hey.” he said softly as you squatted down next to him.
“we should talk.” you said, and he nodded. you both moved to the couch and fell into conversation. you began apologizing for your reaction, and for not allowing him to explain himself. austin apologized for not telling you about the job when he was first considering it, and not thinking about how his not telling you would make you feel.
“i really wasn’t sure if we were far enough along in this relationship for me to be asking you to come be on location with me when i have work based in other places.”
“that’s a fair assumption. but i still would like to be able to make the choice to go with you.” you said to him.
“i understand. i really didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. i love and care about you so much, and i really want this relationship to work. i couldn’t live with myself if it didn’t work out between us due to a lack of communication on my part.” he said, pulling you into his arms, and hugging you tight.
“you love me?” you asked, looking up at him. he smiled down at you and nodded, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“i do. so much.” he said, pressing another kiss to your head. you rested your head on his chest, wrapping your arms around his waist and squeezing him tight.
“i love you too.” you said, nuzzling deeper into his chest. you sat there quietly for a few minutes, before you spoke again. “who would’ve thought our first fight would lead to us dropping the L word for first time.”
“here’s to less fights and more “i love yous” in the future.” he laughed.
“i can get behind that.”

austin and me || part four
summary: after presley turns two, austin feels it’s time for her first trip to graceland.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“presley, honey, let’s go!” you called from the front door. she came running into the living room, her stuffed bunny tight under her arm.
“alright, does everyone have everything?” austin asked, meeting you at the door.
“yes, i've quadruple checked our bags, we have everything we could possibly need for the flight. and our suitcases have been fully packed for four days.” you said, matter-of-factly.
“perfect, let’s go.” austin said. you all grabbed your things and began loading into the car. you got presley in her car seat and moved to help austin finish loading the bags. after the last one, he closed the trunk, and pulled into a hug. “you excited?” he asked you.
“very excited.” you said, reaching up to kiss him.
priscilla and riley decided to close graceland, as well as the guest house, to the public for a few days, and they had invited you, austin, and presley to come visit. of course, austin had been there many times at this point, but this would be your first time, and the first time the three of you would be there as a family. presley had just turned two, and you were comfortable traveling with her, so you were quick to accept the invitation. you were excited to be there, and you knew that priscilla and riley would be wonderful hostesses.
upon your arrival to the airport, you quickly got checked in, your bags in order, and moved to find your gate. while you waited to board, you grabbed a bite to eat. the flight was seamless, the three of you actually sleeping for the most of it. once you landed in memphis, jerry was at the airport to pick you up.
“i haven’t driven with a car seat in a long time.” he commented as you were getting presley buckled. your eyes landed on his face, and you could tell that he was missing lisa. you climbed out of the car and hugged him tight. no words were exchanged, but the way he relaxed in your arms, you could tell that he needed the comfort.
“alright, is everyone ready!” he called, clearing his throat. you nodded, and you and austin climbed into the car. jerry drove you to the guest house, where priscilla, riley, and harper and finley were waiting for your arrival. they all embraced you in warm hugs and led you into the lobby of the guest house. they helped you get acclimated and let you have pick of the rooms. everyone dispersed to their rooms, most everyone electing to stay on the first floor. you chose one that had a wonderful view of the pool. once the key cards were ready, you all went off to your rooms to unwind for a bit before dinner.
at dinner time, you wall made you way over to graceland, walking up the winding drive way up to the porch. while you looked around, you couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed at all the emotions and memories you knew this house held. austin was a bit ahead of you, but he turned around to check on you and presley. he noticed the tears welling in your eyes, and a look of concern shrouded his face.
“you okay?” he asked, falling in step with you.
“mhm. just feeling very emotional about being here.” you said softly. austin wrapped his arm around your shoulders and gave you a gentle squeeze.
you all stopped at the porch while riley and priscilla stood at the door. priscilla was hesitant to open the door. you knew that the last time she was here was very emotional, so you all gave her the time and space to compose herself.
once she was ready, she opened the door and you all filed into the living room. it was still set up the way it would be for tours, and priscilla lead you around the home as if she was your personal tour guide. you got to see the living and dining rooms, the kitchen, the jungle room, the tv room, and everything in between.
“this room has always been my favorite.” you said as you stood at the wall of the jungle room.
“ big teddy!” presley called, pointing at the teddy bear of lisa marie’s that sat in the chair in the corner of the room.
“yes, honey, that is a big teddy.” you laughed, following her gaze.
“that was always lisa marie’s favorite chair. she would sit there all the time, listening to her daddy sing in this room.” priscilla said before continuing the tour. your tour remained in the house, before you circled back into the dining room. the table had been set for everyone to sit to dinner, a wonderful meal was prepared and you all took your seats, leaving the chair at the head of the table empty. for elvis.
as you ate, conversation ensued, and everyone was having a wonderful night. after you finished eating, and after getting permission from priscilla, austin took you and presley on a ride in one of the golf carts around the front yard. you sat in the front with presley in your lap as austin drove around the lawn. presley was screaming and laughing, having the absolute time of her life. you and austin were just as ecstatic, having just as much fun as she was.
back in the house, the group had flocked to the window, watching the three of you in the yard. priscilla once again was feeling painfully nostalgic, images of her with elvis and lisa marie, sharing the same moments that the three of you did. austin was the same fun, care-free, always crazy dad that elvis was. you were the same reluctant, but playful mother she was. and presley was the same little girl living her best life as lisa marie was.
“you okay?” jerry asked her, squeezing her shoulders. priscilla snapped back to reality, wiping the tears from her eyes.
“yes. i just see so much of us in them, and i can’t help but get emotional.” she laughed, wiping another tear.
“i know you do. i do too. it hurts a lot, but they’re so good together.” jerry said, hugging her tight.
“i just hope they have a better fate then we did.” she sighed. just then, riley had reached out to her, squeezing her shoulder. priscilla smiled at her, placing her hand on riley’s. they shared a soft smile, both knowing the sentiment they meant behind them.
after a while, you, austin, and presley had gone back into the house with everyone for dessert. after dessert, you were helping riley in kitchen, cleaning the dishes and putting up the leftover food.
“thank you again for having us. this home is so beautiful.” you said to her.
“it’s very special. i feel so close to my mom here. it makes me feel like i have her here with me again.” she said to you.
“i’m sure. she was so wonderful towards austin and i. she was a remarkable woman, and im so grateful i got to meet her. i know austin will forever appreciate how welcoming she was towards him. i know his missing her will never compare to yours, but he loved her like she was his own mother.” you said to her.
“and she loved him like she was her own. she was so appreciative of how much care he took of his elvis portrayal, and i know that meant a lot to her. she praised him all the time.”
“i know how much that meant to him.” you said with a smile. just then you felt a pair of arms wrap around your legs. “hello, my love.” you said, scooping presley up into your arms.
“she looks just like you.” riley said with a smile, brushing a piece of presley’s hair behind her ear. "i couldn't tell which of you she looked most like the day she was born, but she's definitely grown into her mother's daughter."
“i always thought she was a perfect mix of the two of us when she was born.” you said. “she definitely kept austin's eyes, but i feel like her face has become softer, like mine, as she's grown so far.” riley nodded in agreement.
“she’s beautiful either way.” riley side, kissing her cheek.
“thank you.” you said with a smile. “tell auntie riley thank you for dinner.” you said, kissing presley's forehead.
“thank you, auntie riley.” presley said softly.
“of course, sweetheart.” riley smiled, patting her head.
“hey, there are my girls.” austin said, walking over to the three of you at the counter. he took presley from you and held her in his arms. “riley, i can’t thank you enough for hosting us. this has been such a wonderful evening, and im so glad that you’ve allowed us to join.” he said to her.
“anytime. you guys know you’re always welcome.” she said. they hugged gently before riley walked out of the kitchen, moving back to her husband and daughter who sat at the table.
“hey, so i want to introduce you to someone.” austin said, turning to you.
“who? i know everyone here.” you laughed.
“just c’mon.” he said, taking his hand in yours. presley was on his hip as he lead the two of you out of the house, past the pool, and over to the meditation garden. you stopped at the edge of area, where the cross stood next to gladys’ original headstone. you were already overcome with emotion at this moment, and you knew that you were about to start sobbing. unknown to the three of you, the rest of the group had followed you down there as well. you walked over to austin, who was kneeling in front of elvis’ grave, presley standing in between his legs.
“this is the man you were named after, sweetheart. this is the man who changed my life, and will always be a big part of yours, mine, and mommy’s life.” he said to her. he read her the inscription that adorned elvis’ headstone, turning to you as he finished. “and this is my beautiful wife, y/n.” he began, turing back to the headstone. he spoke to elvis about you, telling elvis how much he appreciated your support throughout the process of filming the movie, and how amazingly receptive you were of the film.
“i’ve always been a fan of yours, and i feel like austin was the closest thing i’ll get to seeing you live.” you said to elvis. you pressed a kiss to the tips of your fingers, and pressed them softly against his headstone. just then, the wind picked up, blowing the leaves and trees around.
“i think he’s happy to meet you.” austin said with a smile.
he then lead you and presley over to where lisa marie was buried. austin was hesitant to speak at first, as he still missed her so much. you gave him a moment, rubbing his back and holding his hand, as he stood there silently, his hand atop her grave. you heard him sniffle before taking a deep breath, finally ready to speak. he picked up presley again,
“pres, this is lisa marie. you know, she was very important in my life, making sure that i was welcomed into this family. she was so supportive in everything i did in regards to her daddy, that it meant so much to me. and i know that she would’ve loved you.” austin said, poking presley’s belly, causing her to giggle. “she was like a second mom to me.” he said softly.
he stepped to the side and allowed you to move forward to lisa’s grave to give you a moment to speak to her.
“hi, miss lisa.” you said quietly, placing your hand on the top of her head stone. “i know you probably already know this, but i miss you so much. our time together was cut way too short, and i wish you were here to get to enjoy all the wonderful things that everyone has accomplished.” you said, short of breath as you started crying. you felt austin’s hand on your back, immediately feeling at ease. “i wish you could be here to meet presley. your mom says she reminds her of you, and i know you would’ve adored her. she would’ve loved you too.” you finished. you’d become too teary to finish speaking, so austin pulled you into his chest, hugging you tight. you stood there silently, as the wind picked up again. you were sure it was lisa marie this time, saying hi to the three of you.
“gramma.” you heard a voice say. you picked your head up from austin’s chest, exchanging a confused look. you both looked at presley, who was pointing at lisa’s grave.
“what did she just say?” austin asked aloud. as if she understood austin, she spoke again.
“gramma yisa.” she said again, wriggling out of austin’s arms. you knew her use of yisa was just her being a toddler, but your heart sank at the mention of the nickname you knew elvis used to call lisa marie.
presley stood at the edge of the rocks that edged the area of the graves, reaching out to touch lisa marie’s. as her hand placed to the name plate, the wind picked up again, swirling around the three of you.
“gramma yisa is so happy to meet you, sweet girl.” you said, fighting tears. you looked up at the group, who gathered at the other side of the meditation garden, all of them also in tears.
“she’s so happy you meet you.” austin repeated, pressing a kiss to the top of presley’s head.
you all spent just few more minutes at the meditation garden before making your way back to the guest house for the night. you all dispersed from the lobby, going to your rooms for the night. you’d fallen behind, marveling at the staircase in the lobby, the replication of the one that was in the front of the mansion. you still couldn’t believe that you were here, and you couldn’t believe the day that you’d had.
“heavy day, huh?” a voice said behind you. you turned and saw austin walking up to you.
“very heavy.” you sighed, falling into his arms. “where’s presley?” you asked him.
“she’s with harper and finely. i told them she could hang out with them for a little bit before bed.” he said to you. you nodded against his chest. “they’re obsessed with her.”
“everyone is. im grateful that she already has so many people in her life that love her this much. i just hope it stays this way.” you sighed. you felt austin press a kiss to the top of your head before giving your shoulders a squeeze.
“it will.” he began, “for as long as they’ll have us, we’ll always be part of the presley family.”

austin and me || part three
summary: after the nine months of your pregnancy have come and gone, you and austin are finally welcoming your baby into your world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“y/n, baby? are you awake?” you heard austin’s voice ask. the room was dark but you saw light from the living room pooling in as he opened the door.
“hey.” you said softly. you reached over to turn on your lamp, austin moving to the bed to help you sit up. “how long have i been asleep?” you asked.
“at least the few hours i’ve been home. not sure when you actually fell asleep after i left though.” he said softly, kneeling down next to you. “you felling okay?”
“not any worse than normal. i’ve just felt super tired these past couple of days.” you sighed, beginning to sit up. austin helped you stand and you waddled over to the bathroom. you looked at your stomach in the mirror, rubbing it softly.
these nine months have flown by and you couldn’t believe you were coming up on the end of your pregnancy. you were nervous to start this next chapter of your life, but you were excited to finally meet your baby. you found out you were having a girl, and already had a name picked out. the nursery was painted, furnished, and already full of toys and clothes. your family and friends had you pretty well set after your baby shower, so you were practically drowning in baby gear at this point.
you stood at the bathfroom counter, admiring your belly in the mirror, your hand resting softly against it. your baby began kicking, your heart fluttering at her excitement.
“oop, i hope i didn’t wake you, sweet girl.” you said softly. you walked back over to the bed and sat down, getting back into the only position that allowed you to fully relax and be comfortable without putting too much weight on your pressure points. austin climbed into bed next to you, turning on a movie. it was one that you both had seen a bunch, so you didn’t pay much attention to it.
“what do you want for dinner?” austin asked you after a while.
“mmm, i’m not sure. i’m up for anything really.” you said through a yawn.
“i better get you something quick before you fall asleep again.” austin laughed. he whipped up something light and quick for you to have something to eat. you sat up in bed, taking the plate from austin and setting it on your belly.
“gonna miss having this table.” you joked as you began eating. “at least i’ll be able to see my feet again soon.”
“silver lining.” austin laughed through a mouth full of food. you finished eating and you lounged in bed for a while before you both fell asleep.
a few hours later, austin woke up to use the bathroom. when he came back, he heard you breathing heavier than normal, and noticed you trembling. he rushed over to your side of the bed and shook you awake.
“y/n? baby, wake up.” he said, concern heavy in his voice. your eyes flitted open, and you shifted to move, feeling a wet spot on the bed underneath you. you were suddenly fully awake, realizing what was happening.
“my water broke.” you said, looking over to him. as if your muscles heard you, they instantly began twisting in your abdomen, your first contraction coursing through your body. you felt your face contort, austin holding your hand and coaching through your breathing exercises. you took a deep breath once it finally finished, locking eyes with austin. “yeah, it’s definitely time. this baby is coming.”
austin helped you out of bed and you started getting ready while austin was flustered trying to get everything together. you stood at your vanity, quickly but calmly getting ready. you threw on a pair of sweats and a hoodie, pulling your hair into a pony tail. austin was pacing the room, as if he was looking for everything you needed but couldn’t find anything. he was frantic, more frantic than you'd ever seen him.
“aus, baby.” you said, grabbing his hand. he stopped dead in his tracks, melting under your gaze. you rubbed your thumb across the back of his hand. “breathe, for me. please.” you said. you and him took a deep breath together, and held it for a few seconds before exhaling.
“sorry.” he said quietly, resting his forehead against yours.
“we got this. we’re gonna be okay.” you said, reaching up to kiss him. “all we need is the hospital bag, by the door. it’s been there for a week.” you laughed.
“right, right.” he said, shaking his head. “i’m sorry.”
“it’s okay.” you laughed. just then another contraction hit, clouding your brain, the worst pain you’d ever experienced for the next minute. “alright, yep. we gotta go.”
the next few hours passed as you waited impatiently to be fully dilated. your back was hurting, your contractions were getting worse, and you were unable to find any position that you could lay or sit in that didn’t hurt. austin tried to help in any way, making recommendations, trying to help you off your joints, but nothing was working. you could tell on his face that austin was feeling helpless and was kicking himself for not being able to do anything, but you reassured him that you appreciated his help anyway.
“i wanted to try without with the epidural, but i cannot bare this.” you said, out of breath as another contraction ended.
“are you sure?” austin asked, and you nodded. he headed towards the door and walked down the hall to find your nurse. after a while, you watched as they both walked into the room. you looked over at the nurse who had wheeled a cart into the room, full of needles and medication. your eyes widened as you watched her fill the large syringe with a needle you swore was the size of a knitting needle. austin met your gaze and could tell you were nervous.
“oh hell.” you gulped once you fully realized how large the needle was.
“you got this.” austin said, taking your hand in his. he placed his hand on the other side of your head, holding you against his chest as the nurse gave you your injection. you took a sharp breath in, holding it for as long as you could. austin stood with you, comforting you and rubbing your back. once the syringe was empty, and the nurse removed the needle, the fuzzy numbness began coursing through your legs and lower back. you were finally able to lay on your back a little bit while you waited to be fully dilated.
once it was finally time to start pushing, austin stood at your head, holding your hand in his, coaching you through your breathing, offering words of encouragement, and cheering you on. as soon as you started pushing, you swore you blacked out. by the time everything was said and done, you were beyond exhausted, but you were more than happy to have your beautiful baby girl into the world.
“here she is!” your doctor cheered, carrying your baby over to you and laying her on your chest. you were a sobbing mess, and austin was crying over you as you held your baby. she was perfect in every way and you couldn’t believe that she was yours.
that night, you spent it getting in any sleep that you could. you worked with the nurses to get on an appropriate feeding schedule that was ideal for the baby, and still allowed you to sleep as much as you could. the baby was in and out of the room with her nurse, austin was asleep on the couch in your recovery room, and you finally slept a full night that night. the first full night’s sleep you had since you’d gotten pregnant.
the next day, you and austin continued getting acclimated to your new schedule. by that afternoon, you were accepting visitors, and after a while, your room was full of the people you loved. yours and austin’s families, both the ashley’s in his life (his sister, and tisdale), baz, catherine, riley, priscilla, and harper and finley had gathered around your room, and were beyond excited to meet the baby.
“okay, okay. i promised priscilla she would be the first one i introduced the baby to.” you announced as they started to ask about holding her. priscilla smiled as she moved to your side of the bed, holding out her arms. you handed her the baby, priscilla smiling down at her.
“so, what are we calling this little one?” priscilla asked you, stroking her thumb across baby's cheek. you looked up at austin and smiled at him, encouraging him to speak.
“everyone, meet presley anne marie.” he announced proudly.
“anne for austin’s mom, lori, marie for lisa marie, and presley, for the family that took us in and loved us as their own.” you explained. priscilla looked at you with tears in her eyes. you looked around at everyone else, meeting their tear soaked eyes. they all expressed the same sentiment about how beautiful the name was.
everyone mingled for a little bit, holding and marveling at presley. you could already tell that she loved the attention as she smiled up at everyone that held her. you didn’t have visitors for too long, as they didn’t want to continue keeping you from sleep. as it got closer to the evening, everyone had left. except for priscilla. she hung back for a while, watching you and austin interact with your baby girl. she sat in a chair across the room, memories flashing in her mind, back to the day that lisa marie was born. of course, there were ample visitors, except it was reporters and photographers. but she remembered how excited elvis was when lisa marie was born. he loved her so much and even though they only had a short time together, she was his entire world.
priscilla still saw a lot of elvis in austin, and couldn’t help but shed a tear watching him interact with his newborn the same way elvis interacted with lisa marie when she was born. she’d thought about both elvis and lisa marie a lot in the months of your pregnancy, and at your wedding. she wished so badly that lisa marie could be here for all of these moments.
you’d mustered up some strength to walk over to her, sitting on the arm of the recliner she sat in.
“how come every time i see you, you’re crying?” you asked her.
“im just so happy for you and austin. it makes me think about my pregnancy with lisa marie. she was my first baby, and this is your first baby. your pregnancy has been bringing back a lot of memories for me. they were happy memories, but they’re still painful to relive when i’m the only one still here who was a part of them.” she sighed, squeezing your hand. her last sentence hit you like a ton of bricks. you felt so sad for priscilla, knowing that she has not only outlived her first husband, but her first child as well.
“i hate hearing that i’m bringing on bad memories for you.” you sighed, taking her hand in yours.
“not bad memories, just ones that i wish i didn’t have alone. but im excited that i still get to be part of new ones. and especially with you.” she said, smiling up at you.
“i will have you for as long as you’d like to be a part of them.” you said, returning the smile.
priscilla stayed with you for a little bit longer before she left, wishing you, austin, and presley a good night before exiting the room. you stood at presley’s cart, marveling down at her. as you studied her face, she looked like a perfect mix and yours and austin's best features. she was the most beautiful baby in the world and you couldn’t believe she was yours.
“how are you felling, mama?” austin asked you, walking up behind you and squeezing your arms.
“a little tired. but content, mostly. im glad little one is finally here, and i cant wait to take her home.” you said, leaning into austin’s chest.
“me too.” austin said, resting his head on yours. “she’s perfect.” he said softly.
“the most perfect.”
