A Grave Mistake (Baldur’s Gate 3/Vampire: The Masquerade Crossover AU Concept)

(Author’s Note: Before I start working more on the next chapter of Hunter and Gatherer that I’ve almost got completed now that I’m home from work and am getting settled in, I wanted to share this…idea-thing that popped into my head while I was listening to a VtM-related podcast at work.  TBH, I don’t remember much about the lore besides what I learned from the Bloodlines video game, but the vague idea of a “what if AU where Astarion and Cazador are in the VtM setting instead?” has been rolling around in my brain for a while now even despite my lack of knowledge.

I really don’t know if anyone would be interested at all in this AU concept for the Ast/Elg ship, or if I’ll have much time to work on it if I do decide to throw it out into the ether for people to check out (I already have too many irons in the fire as it is), or if people are already playing with the concept of a BG3/VtM crossover, but here’s just a little excerpt of this opener I jotted down as soon as I came in the door home from work.  So, yeah, here you go!  If nothing else, I hope the general idea inspires folks.)
