Nesta's trauma

Saw a comment saying "Feyre died, Rhys was raped, Az was set on fire, Amren was in a prison, Mor was beaten and used like a pin board and Nesta became poor in her youth lol"

Let's review the things Nesta went through for the illiterate ones who jump at any chance to dismiss a woman's trauma, shall we?

had her palms beaten raw by her grandmother at the age of seven for missteps in her dancing lessons

groomed by her mother as a child to seduce elder men and was led to believe she was only as worthy as the title she married

was almost raped by Tomas Mandray and physically assaulted when she attempted to fight back.

neglected by her father, the man who was supposed to take care of them and bring food to the table

was put in a position where she wanted to starve to death just so her father would get up and provide for them

was shoved into the cauldron against her will (which she described as having molten ore poured into her veins and her human blood boiling) had her bodily autonomy stripped from her, and died as a human

watched her father's neck being snapped right after he told her he loved her

she became depressed and reclusive, "feeling nothing" after the war ended

she couldn't take baths from her trauma of the cauldron, she had to wash herself using buckets

she couldn't endure small spaces due to the cauldron

had to endure the cold in her apartment because the sound of cracking logs reminded her of her father's neck being snapped

was locked up in the HoW because men once again think they know what's best for women against her will

was SAed by the kelpie, monsters known for raping women before they eat them

I know people are feeling The Little Mermaid vibes with Gwynriel but I’m also hoping for a sprinkle of 101 Dalmatians. 😂 I’ll be disappointed if the shadows aren’t matchmaking at Pongo’s level! An accidental fall during midnight training shouldn’t be too hard to orchestrate. 😏

Remember how in Rhysands whole confession monologue he said he used the mating bond to lure Feyre out during calanmai, or how he was having the dreams about her before knowing she even existed? It’s definitely feasible that it draws them together without either knowing. Just like Azriel’s shadows not telling him Gwyn was in the training ring

Let's entertain the idea of Azriel being 'lured' to the library...

You know what could have done the luring? The mating bond yet to be revealed between Gwyn and Azriel.

Gwyn doesn't have to be a lightsinger for Azriel to be drawn to someplace where she's at if they are mates.

Another note:

Equating the telling of time to bells ringing out doesn't work when the priestesses don't even start singing until AFTER the ringing out of the 7th bell.

Therefore, Gwyn wasn't singing when Azriel arrived before Clotho. It would have been stated if she was.

In conclusion, Gwyn wasn't doing any sort of luring with Azriel. She didn't even know about the necklace to lure him there to give to her. The other sides logic is incredibly flawed with these facts pointed out.

The only logical conclusion is Azriel was drawn there because of the potential mating bond yet to be revealed between them. That is what foreshadowing is about.

In ACOSF, the Valkyries are in the Blood Rite and while there Gwyn talks about how she's tired of being in the library....which only means she has a journey to go on herself...

She then goes on to say she doesn't want to take the safe road and instead wants to take a new road with the Valkryies. A road that will lead them to become something NEW. That something new and different would then lead to prove and triumph over everyone, but especially the Illyrians rules and restrictions.

Then, after she's done saying that... A cold wind blew off Ramiels sides. Whispering, murmuring.... almost prophetic wouldn't you say? Especially given she's a Priestess...

Could she be prophesying a road that will now be taken? A road which will lead a new beginning and bright future for them, and the Illyrians?

Could she be the catalyst alongside Azriel to bring change to the Illyrians with the Valkyries standing beside her?

I hope we get answers soon 🙏

I’m sorry but you don’t have a problem with Gwyn being drawn in nsfw art you just have a problem with her being drawn with Azriel.

You don’t have a problem with Gwyn ending up with her “saviour” and a saviour/survivor relationship would be “uncomfortable” you just have a problem with Gwyn ending up with Az.

because if you actually think it’s uncomfortable then why were you okay with Rhys and Feyre romance? wasn’t she the one who saved Rhys and basically stopped the sa? I don’t see you having a problem with that.

The only “luring” that happened on solstice night was Azriel’s shadows being naughty and not telling him Gwyn was on the ring because they wanted to see Mom and Dad together.

I’m going to need SOME people to stop acting like Lucien is stalking this girl. No hun, that’s your fav shadow bat. Lucien stops by the NC for Feyre’s bday/solstice/business only. He’s not standing between two grown adults who haven’t had more than a 20 word count on page conversation in 3 years. If I was so detested by my mate and truly wanted someone else, I would not want any attachment to the former. I would break the bond. Not keep it for 3 years.

Unless…

And I’ve yet to hear any sensible explanation on how this waiting game makes sense if Lucien is such an inconvenience. Just accept Elain has no idea what she wants yet and stop blaming BS on the one decent male in this damn series.

I don’t want to read about Azriel’s shadows vanishing around his love interest. 

I want them to seek her out, tease her, be playful with her, engage enthusiastically with her in the bedroom, and yes, sing and dance with her. Imagine how boring it would be for such an interesting power to vanish around someone you’re supposed to be with, when SJM has already emphasized how curious and willing to interact with Gwyn that power is.  

I want Azriel AND his shadows to feel safe enough to be seen by her, completely. Gwyn saw Azriel and those shadows in action when they first met, yet she never displayed any fear towards them. 

They danced when Gwyn challenged him. They danced with her breath. They calmed when they were watching her. They sang when Azriel left her.

The mating bond is called ‘silent music’. 

These interactions are so much more positive and soooo much more fun and interesting than vanishing. 

I understand people insist Gwyn and the shadows are evil out of jealousy. It really must suck to be deprived of those interactions for your favorite ship 😔

People are so boring for arguing against the 🎶 mate magic 🎶 instead of embracing it and getting excited for whatever else Sarah decides to do with it 🥵❤️‍🔥
