Just now realising that Charlie's biggest character strength and fatal flaw is that she was never human.
She may have seen the 'true extent of evil' in Hell and at the same time never fully understood it.
She mourns for the pain she has never suffered herself.
She doesn't really, fully grasp the real impact of the sinners' actions on others because she didn't actually know their lives. She doesn't truly know what warrants casting someone into Hell, the same way the angels don't truly know what it takes for someone to enter Heaven. If that episode of her writing Angel Dust and Sir Pentious' script is anything to go by, she relies on superficial ideas and imagings of what she thinks happened to people - mostly those that serve her need to see people in a certain light.
She's so powerful, quite knowledgeable in her own right and yet also stunted - because of her sheltered upbringing, because of her position, because of her worldview.
I would be interested if the show were to explore this flaw or if someone were to call her out on it. Adam and Lute came close enough, but they were painted out to be more comically "heartless". I suppose the closest we got is her reconciliation with Vaggie after the secret, and her realising how it feels to be "wronged" but still choosing to forgive and understand. The others have tried touching on it, but Charlie hasn't exactly changed as a result.

2,300-Year-Old Plush Bird from the Altai Mountains of Siberia (c.400-300 BCE): crafted with a felt body and reindeer-fur stuffing, all of which remains intact
This artifact was sealed within the frozen barrows of Pazyryk, Siberia, for more than two millennia, where a unique microclimate enabled it to be preserved. The permafrost ice lense formation that runs below the barrows provided an insulating layer, preventing the soil from heating during the summer and allowing it to quickly freeze during the winter; these conditions produced a separate microclimate within the stone walls of the barrows themselves, thereby aiding in the preservation of the artifacts inside.
This is just one of the many well-preserved artifacts that have been found at Pazyryk. These artifacts are attributed to the Scythian/Altaic cultures.
Currently housed at the Hermitage Museum.

I was thinking earlier about how most sinners in Viv’s Hell, particularly in the main cast, are in Hell because they were killers in life, because obviously, murder isn’t the only thing that gets you sent to Hell, and I doubt it’s the most common. Hell is full of terrible people of all kinds, not just killers. Homophobes, misogynists, abusers, racists, rapists, fascists. The worst of the worst.
But she can’t actually show any of these people being humanized, bettering themselves, and getting redeemed, because people would accuse her of saying those things are forgivable, and down playing the issue.
Look at how people reacted to Killjoy saying something homophobic. They immediately claimed that it made the show itself homophobic, even though Killjoy is an antagonist who’s homophobia is directly implied to be one of the reasons she’s in Hell.
Murder is a, “safe,” sin for the show to give the characters, because no one watching the show has been murdered, and probably very few of them personally know anybody who’s been murdered, so they don’t feel the need to treat the subject with any respect. Murder is a truly horrific tragedy that destroys innocent lives, but in fiction it’s just sorta hand waved most of the time, because it’s so far outside of the realm of reality for most people that we’re sorta just comfortable with it.
So she sorta has to have most of them be murderers, because what else can she make them?
Like, the only member of the main cast of sinners that doesn’t seem to be a murderer is Husk, who so far has been implied to be in Hell because of his alcoholism and gambling addiction, and that’s something you have to be careful about because those are both real complicated disorders that real people struggle with, and you run the risk of demonizing them if you aren’t careful.
Even though we’re largely desensitized to murder in media, no one’s worried about demonizing murderers, or generalizing them as being evil.
So again, it’s just easy to slap em with the murderer label and call it a day.

It has been like almost 11 years and I still can’t get over that one that scene in iron man 1 where tony has the gauntlet on in his workshop and catches his reflection in the glass and just fucking obliterates it. it is like the single most poignant expression of self-loathing i’ve ever seen on camera

There are other reasons to why Alastor hates Lucifer, it’s because Lucifer is a hypocrite. Lucifer claims to dislike and be disgusted with sinners when he himself isn’t perfect. In fact he has shown favoritism to sinners who worship him; you can be a terrible piece of shit but as long as you worship Lucifer you’re cool. It would make sense he is the sin of Pride. And Charlie has no idea.
Let’s say while Alastor was still alive and young, he actually saw Lucifer being summoned or appearing at some ritual to be worshiped by his followers. He could see how Lucifer was enjoying the adoration of those who worshipped him. Piles of bodies circling him as he basks in on all the attention. Alastor had been tracking down one of his followers because they murdered his mom and used her as one of sacrifices. It becomes hate by association thing. Lucifer is a liar and because of the actions of his followers, his mother was killed. Another punch to the gut is when Alastor went to hell, he learned that some of his followers get special treatment and automatically become Overlords without climbing to the top. So that started his Overlord killing spree.
Lucifer notices Alastor’s hatred of him, especially when Alastor no longer engages him in arguments when they are alone. Alastor will take every opportunity to humiliate the king in front of someone, but when they alone Alastor will leave immediately and ignore Lucifer when he tries to get his attention. It’s the aloof and not giving a shit about him that really pisses Lucifer off. Lucifer hates to be ignored, especially by Alastor. And Lucifer didn’t want to admit it, but whenever the radio demon taunts him or challenges him, it brings Lucifer out of his shell and knowing Alastor’s attention is on him and only him. Lucifer will do anything to try to get Alastor’s attention, like try to challenge him to a contest, help with dinner, or try to engage him in conversation. But nothing seems to work, it’s not like he did something personal to the guy.

I’m so emotional about dinosaur stuffed animals,,, there are these creatures, extinct long before any of us were alive, but we found their bones and their eggs and their footprints. And we made drawings and models of what they could’ve looked like. And we made them into stuffed animals so we could hold them. We made them soft so we could love them. I’m sobbing

DP x DC Prompt #16
When Hal had asked him which town he protected, Danny was more than happy to tell him, "Amity Park!" When Hal asked Danny where it was, Danny hadn't thought the response, "At this moment? Or where it was last week?" would've caused such chaos in the meeting.
Danny knew not everyone's town traveled across the country, but he didn't think it was odd enough to warrant this kind of reaction.
