Did a short indulgent cough comic inspired from one of my favorite scenes from Lycoris by pseudocitrus :: thank you for writing and sharing this wonderful jewel ´////` )
One of the things that I absolutely love in the 2.43 anime adaptation is the Fukui dialect (especially Yuni’s). I don’t know if it’s intentional but his dialect become thicker and more exaggerated whenever he’s emotional (happy, sad, angry etc) and it adds so much depth to his character and mannerism especially since (in the first book) he felt a little self-conscious about it when he and Chika reunited and he heard him speak in that perfect refined way of his.
I made a small compilation of my favorite, overly exaggerated Fukui dialect scenes from episode 5. I left some snippets with Chika (who speaks standard Japanese) for comparison.

Okay, let’s talk about Kento Nanami and the role of the numbers 7 and 3 that Akutami entertwined with his character. (No spoilers, dw)
- First off, his power, the 7:3 ratio... (explanation from manga above)
- His hair is parted at a 7:3 ratio
- His name, Nanami means Seven Seas. Nana meaning 7, and Mi (Umi) means ocean. Edit: "mi" is also a homonym for 3, so his name also translates to Seven Three.
- His birthday is July 3rd (7/3)
In numerology, the combination of 3 and 7 is a sign that your hard work has been acknowledged and you will be rewarded and showered with positive abundance for your past efforts. And personality-wise is someone who is not very social (3) but also a social magnet (7), and someone productive and hardworking, all of which match Nanami very well.
The more and more I notice the detail in JJK, the more I fall in love with the series and adore Akutami even more.
