9-1-1 is starting to feel like a telenovela and I’m here for it.

why is nobody talking about how good ravi looked during his 0.5 seconds of screen time in the last episode ??

Something that kind of irks me about a lot of fans in any fandom is how we have a tendency to judge the characters and judge HARD.

The thing that I like about 9-1-1 (the show not the fandom necessarily) is that 9-1-1 tends to emphasize IMO that they are human who MAKES MISTAKES.

I see fans judge a character for making a mistake - big or small - and suddenly they HATE this character and they are ruined and they can NEVER love that character again.

But the thing is, people make mistakes. It’s okay to drop someone out of your life, yes, but it’s also okay to forgive someone even for something that is against your morals.

People IRL tend to be slow to forgive because they probably used to forgive too fast and too easy, and were constantly getting hurt in the process. But people CAN change. I’m not going to tell you to forgive more, because sometimes that is part of the problem for a lot of people. I’m just saying that, IRL, forgiveness doesn’t have to be a bad word either.

It’s okay to forgive someone who cheats. It doesn’t mean you think cheating is morally okay. Same goes for all sorts of other mistakes people make.

9-1-1 emphasizes a lot that they are human beings who make mistakes, but even then they have a family who will love them anyway (not without some obstacles naturally, but still).

I just wonder: when did we become a world who demands change, but refuses to allow people to even try to change?

Eddie Diaz: End of Season 7

RG said there's some big changes coming for Eddie by the end of the season and he'll feel isolated like he doesn't have anyone to turn to. Season 8 will be a refresh button for him so he can FINALLY let go of his past 👀.

Maybe he finally moves on and realizes he's in love with Buck.

So, I've had this thought before but idk if I shared it. Anyway, I came up with a parallel that the show could do for Buddie's first date.

So far, almost every love interest walked away from Buck, right? Abby with the air balloon (though for good reason), Taylor after kissing him, Tommy and Natalia after their date. And sure, they came back in a way, but...

What if Buddie's first date is an absolute shit show? Everything goes bad. They're awkward because they don't need the getting to know each other part of a first date. Something goes wrong - their date is interrupted. Maybe a medical emergency or Chris got sick.

And then, just like in 7x05, they stand outside. And Buck thinks that's it. BUT: Unlike the others, Eddie doesn't walk away from Buck. He doesn't leave.

INSTEAD: he gives Buck a smile and asks him to go home with him. Like, "let's go home," or "will you follow me home?"

And it shows both Buck and us that: this is it. This is who he is meant to be with. Eddie, who wouldn't walk away from him ever again. Who wouldn't leave him standing there. Like Abby, Taylor, Natalia, and Tommy did.

And he takes Eddie’s hand and he smiles that adorable smile. And then they leave together.
