y’know I don’t think we talk enough about how, when Ranboo was exposed as a traitor, Techno tried his best to help him out and act like Ranboo had never met him before. 

Techno’s whole “I’ve never met this man before in my life” thing clearly wasn’t going to work, but even though it would’ve been easier to just say nothing about the whole situation (because let’s be honest, what did Techno have to gain from sticking up for Ranboo? he doesn’t need anything from him, he’s already insanely rich, and denial was pretty much futile at that point) Techno tried to deny them ever meeting.

That coupled with the whole “get out of here” scene, Techno immediately returning his book no questions asked, and him letting Ranboo hang around the arctic commune gives me some food for thought. 

I’m really excited to see how their relationship develops in the future.

i've seen people saying that sbi family being canon on the smp doesn't make sense to the plot or their characters and they're kinda right, but consider: it makes everything ten times funnier

like technoblade goes from this legendary scary figure to tommy's angsty big brother with violent tendencies who just happens to show up during major plot points

wilbur blowing up lmanburg? your sibling breaking your project that you've been working on for months just to be a dick

philza teaming with techno, instead of having important political connotations in canon, is just the parent favouriting the "responsible" middle sibling over the chaotic oldest and youngest

i say this not to be like Young People Bad, but IMO there’s a very specific subset of Weird Internet Creators (mcelroys, neil cicierega, bdg, etc) that tend to have very young-skewing fans who don’t know how to interact with those creators appropriately and think it’s okay to make nsfw jokes or kin jokes or shipping jokes about those people, including saying that stuff TO THOSE CREATORS’ FACES during livestreams, and it’s like. i don’t know if those people just haven’t been in a lot of fanbases in the past or think that someone having a ‘weird’ persona is a justification for making weird kink jokes about them but
