[Eng👇️ ] In una vita precedente probabilmente sono stata un'ape. Lo so perché mi piace troppo vedere i fiori, annuasarli, guardarli da vicino. Adoro anche guardare le api, con il loro dorso pelosino, le tasche piene di polline, a fare acrobazie di volo tra una margherita e un girasole. È pensando a loro che nell'orto ho piantato anche fiori, oltre alle verdure. È per loro, che non taglio l'erba del prato ogni settimana, ma lo faccio solo quando i fiori son già fioriti e passati. In my own small way, I feel at peace with my senses when I get close to the simplicity, and at the same time magic, of plants and the garden. That cycle and balance that exists on earth, and is the basis of our lives. With simple soil, water and sun, and the magic contained in small seeds, plants, flowers, vegetables sprout and grow. What could be more magical? We should take care of it more, take better care of our little planet: but today, where voices around the world are screaming about climate change, catastrophes and necessary interventions, I prefer to open my heart and appreciate the magic of the earth. I want to focus on what I already do for it, appreciate it, enjoy it. To feel part of that ecosystem. 🇨🇭🇮🇹 ITALIANO Come dice un mio amico: la felicità è proporzionale a alla terra che c’è sotto le unghie. Oggi è la giornata mondiale della terra… quel simpatico pianeta in cui viviamo. [Ita👇️ ]I would like to take the opportunity of International Hamster Day to show you this little drawing I did in December... yes: they have declared an international day for this little animal! Anyway: in December, a fifth-grade class asked me to make a small illustration of a hamster, to transform it into a pendant to sell at the Christmas market they were organising. The aim of the operation: to collect money to support their two hamsters! This was my illustration for them... which I later turned into a badger (swipe to see it) at the request of a friend of mine! 😅 What do you think? [Eng👇️ ]È una cosa che proprio non riesco ad evitare: prima di mettermi a disegnare, tutta la postazione deve essere perfettamente in ordine. Con il casino non riesco a lavorare. Non mi concentro. Quindi ecco la mia postazione ordinata, pronta per iniziare a disegnare: c'è il mio carrello con tutti gli strumenti di disegno, il computer con della bella musica, le piantine hanno ricevuto le cure che si meritano. Quel carrellino di Ikea mi ha davvero rivoluzionato la vita: tutto è a portata di mano, e al tempo stesso è ordinato. Lo adoro e lo consiglio vivamente. Anche tu devi mettere in ordine prima di poter disegnare? Hai qualche consiglio? 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ENGLISH That's one thing I just can't avoid: before I start drawing, the whole workstation has to be perfectly tidy. With the mess, I can't work. I can't concentrate. So here is my tidy workstation, ready to start drawing: there is my trolley with all the drawing tools, the computer with some nice music, the seedlings have received the care they deserve. That trolley from Ikea has really revolutionised my life: everything is at my fingertips, and tidy at the same time. I love it and highly recommend it. [Ita👇️ ]I suffer from impatience, and I use drawing to try to analyse this part of me and maybe improve it. Like a meditation, I try to externalise what I feel and think. I realised that I am impatient because I wanted to do the vegetable garden, even though it is still cold, even though it is raining, even though the seeds and seedlings I bought should be planted in the open. I knew it was not the right time, but I did it anyway, because I am impatient and cannot wait any longer. I think about it night and day as long as I do, even if it is early. Instead, nature takes its time. The sun rises and sets according to its rhythm. Plants and flowers grow slowly. There is nothing an impatient person like me can do to make them grow faster. That is the time it takes. When it is time to germinate, it will do so, not before. And like nature, I too must slow down and go at the right pace. Accept that beautiful things take time, their time. Are you also impatient? 🇨🇭🇮🇹 ITALIANO Soffro di impazienza, e uso il disegno per cercare di analizzare questa parte di me e magari migliorarla. Come una meditazione, cerco di esteriorizzare quello che provo e penso. Mi sono accorta che sono impaziente perché ho voluto fare l’orto, anche se fa ancora freddo, anche se piove, anche se i semi e le piantine che ho comprato andrebbero piantate in aprire. Io lo sapevo che non era il momento giusto, ma l’ho fatto ugualmente, perché sono impaziente e non riesco ad aspettare oltre. Ci penso notte e giorno finché lo faccio, anche se è presto. Invece la natura si prende il suo tempo. Il sole sorge e tramonta secondo il suo ritmo. Le piante e i fiori crescono lentamente. Non c’è nulla che un’impaziente come me può fare per farle crescere più in fretta. Il tempo necessario è quello. Quando sarà tempo di germinare lo farà, non prima. E come la natura, devo anche io rallentare e andare al giusto ritmo. Accettare che le cose belle richiedono tempo, il loro tempo. [Ita👇️ ]I have a thousand ideas, so I start a thousand projects. But then I find myself struggling to carry them all out.
